Hotels in Riyue Bay, Wanning

1. First, I suggest the hotel removes air fresheners from the rooms. Only budget hotels use them to mask odors. 2. I was given a room that was still being cleaned upon check-in. I had to wait outside in over 30-degree Celsius heat for more than 20 minutes. There was no emergency plan or special handling. A simple room swap to a similar or better room type would have sufficed. Instead, the 'emergency solution' was a room on an inferior floor, which I was moved into without any prior inspection after cleaning. Water stains were still visible in the room and on the balcony. 3. The refrigerator smelled of leftover food. The 'mini-bar' consisted of just one Fanta and one Sprite, which I wouldn't drink anyway. 4. The shower room design is flawed. There's nowhere to hang towels outside the shower stall. For a twin room with two people showering, there's no consideration for privacy. 5. The room directly faces the high-speed rail tracks. High-speed trains roar past around midnight and 7 AM. 6. The prices fluctuate greatly; booking later can actually be cheaper. 7. The breakfast is, at best, worth 68 yuan, but the advertised price is a huge exaggeration. 8. The complimentary surfing lesson needs clearer instructions and improved teaching quality. It should be clear how many people are in a 'one-to-many' session. It's definitely not worth 298 yuan.

The room was spacious and well-designed, with a lovely view of the lighthouse across the bay. It's super close to the beach, and they even have charging stations right outside the hotel, which is really convenient if you rent an electric scooter or bike. The hotel also offers activities like fishing, crabbing, and paddleboarding. Plus, there's a yacht marina right next door and shared electric scooters available for rent. I'd definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Lingshui.

The room wasn't as big as I expected; in fact, the rooms on the first floor seemed larger. The hotel service was excellent; any issues were resolved immediately. Every night, there's a complimentary sweet soup. I didn't try it, but the butler always informed guests it was available on a first-come, first-served basis. Right outside the hotel is a street full of bars, including 216 Restaurant & Bar and Malt, all just a short walk away. It's a great way to spend time, just chilling there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. There are also plenty of good restaurants nearby. At night, the bars are incredibly lively and bustling – definitely a young crowd!

The room's sea view was absolutely incredible! The shuttle service was super convenient too. Whether we wanted to go to the bar street or surfing, the shuttle driver's recommendation for a surf instructor was spot on – so professional! And the one-on-one lesson was half the price of what you'd find elsewhere. They even included pick-up and drop-off, and had facilities for changing and showering, and I learned so quickly. Plus, there are so many great food options nearby, catering to all tastes. Highly recommend!

Originally planned to surf in the sea, but opted for China Travel Surfing considering safety concerns. It turned out to be a complete and unexpected surprise! This place is much bigger than I imagined, and the landscaping is meticulously designed – thankfully, there are golf carts on call, which is super convenient. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and patient. The room was clean and tidy, and the double sinks in the bathroom were a huge plus for me. Breakfast served until 1:30 PM is perfect for us late risers. The surf pool is much more beginner-friendly than the actual beach, and the coach was excellent; I managed to stand on the board on my very first try! I'll definitely be back~

Just got back from Wanning, so I'm posting this review while it's fresh. First, the conclusion: if you care about your vacation experience and local sightseeing, I don't recommend coming here. Here's why: 1. **Location**: The hotel is on an island in Riyue Bay. After exiting the highway, you'll drive down a narrow beach road popular for surfing. This road is often lined with parked cars, and electric scooters weave through, making it very easy to get stuck in traffic when encountering oncoming vehicles. During peak tourist season, it becomes unbearable, making travel a huge problem. 2. **Lack of Activities**: Apart from the Sunac Chapel, there's basically nothing else to do on the island. There are no beaches suitable for swimming; the actual beaches are outside the island. 3. **Subpar Service**: The hotel's service isn't attentive or detailed enough. (1) The hotel is split into two buildings, A and B, with another building under renovation. When our taxi dropped us off at Building B, we were completely lost, not knowing where to check-in (a sign pointing to Building A would have been helpful here). (2) Buildings A and B are not connected. Guests staying in Building B have to go outdoors to get to Building A for breakfast. During the National Day holiday, we encountered a typhoon with heavy rain, and walking around with an umbrella at the hotel felt incredibly awkward and inconvenient. (3) During check-in, the front desk assigned us a room that was already occupied. A bewildered man suddenly appeared in the room, making the situation extremely awkward. After a long and tiring journey involving planes, high-speed trains, and taxis, encountering this made me very angry. Later, a manager-level staff member came to calm us down, offering a room upgrade and a fruit platter. Overall, the staff (e.g., breakfast staff playing on their phones) and the environment gave me the impression that the hotel isn't really committed to operating well; it felt more like a guesthouse in terms of quality. So, perhaps you should reconsider your room rates.

Was a little shocked when we arrived. The outside of the villa looked like a incomplete villa under construction. We were greeted by one of the staff at the dropoff location. He was nice and friendly and brought our luggages to the front desk to check in. The room was as per the photos during booking. Room was clean and fresh. Direct access to the swimming pool. The night lightings for the pool were beautiful. Location of the villa was good. Near a lot of attractions. The front desk staff were nice to bring us around the main attractions on the villa buggy. They offered 2 x complimentary iced coffee. Fantastic perk me up everyday.

Ideal location if you want to go surfing and you can rent boards and wetsuits through the hotel directly. Room was clean and comfortable, the staff super friendly and responsive. Downside is the noise from the town until 2am, but thats not the hotels fault and affects all of them in the region. I even read of people who couldn't sleep from the noise on the island aplartment 2.5km away. The music is really extremely loud and fireworks happen aswell. But as said, not the hotels fault. Would come again for surfing and theres lot of food options and convenience stores around aswell.

Facilities: The room opens right onto the pool, and the amenities are quite complete. Cleanliness: The hygiene is practically spotless, and the pool is cleaned daily. Environment: Perfect for girls to take photos. Service: The butler service is incredibly detailed. It feels like you can ask them for help with anything, and they'll respond quickly.

I really couldn't wake up early here. Yesterday, I just came back from partying at the bar street, and the bed was super comfy. But my husband insisted on opening the window so I could see the view, and it was indeed beautiful! After I woke up, I went to the gym for a quick run, then had breakfast. The breakfast was quite good, but I didn't eat much. Overall, everything was great. The environment is beautiful and very quiet, which is perfect for an introvert like me. The staff here are also very friendly and always patiently help me with any issues. Especially Huang Zhiqian, this staff member is very patient and enthusiastic. They're always proactive in greeting you and saying hello, so I personally think everything was excellent. I'll definitely come back if I have the chance.
