Hotels in Huoju 8th Street/International Coastal Baths, Weihai

When I came to Weihai three or four years ago, I booked this guesthouse, and I was very satisfied with it at the time. So this time, I chose it again. However, the check-in experience was not as satisfying as the last time. The first obvious issue was the elevator – it took forever to catch one. The second was the room's cleanliness; the glass door of the bathroom was completely grimy, and the shower area was right outside the bathroom door. After showering, the entire bathroom floor would be wet if you needed to use the toilet. Plus, the shower drain was clogged and didn't drain, leading to standing water. The third problem was the sewer smell. It was somewhat tolerable with the windows open during the day, but at night, with the windows closed, the smell filled the entire room. Luckily, I only stayed for two nights. If you're booking the same room type as mine, I suggest you inquire about these issues beforehand. The location is convenient; the beach is right downstairs, and there are people singing on the beach at night. For this room type, parents with small children should be aware of the steps, as kids might trip easily at first.

I stumbled upon this hotel with a floor-to-ceiling sea-view window room online and immediately fell in love with it. So, I took advantage of the three-day Qingming Festival holiday to visit Weihai. I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, and the actual experience was fantastic! From the hotel's **exterior**, it felt like an older four-star, but once I entered the lobby, the overall impression was very neat, clean, and bright. You could tell that the hotel put effort into maintaining its facilities. The staff were also very enthusiastic, even calling a day in advance to confirm my itinerary and preferences. The **service** was excellent. Since I arrived quite late on the first night, after 10:00 PM in Weihai, I booked a **standard king room** for the first night. It offered a street view, not the sea. The room was quiet and very clean, perfect for a good night's rest. On the second day, around 9:00 AM, we moved to the sea-view room I had been looking forward to. I booked the **Deluxe Sea View Terrace King Room**. The room was still very clean and quiet. The interior decoration was on par with a five-star hotel (though the walls were a bit patchy and could use a repaint). Upon entering, there was a bathtub, and then the super large floor-to-ceiling window and terrace came into view. In front of the window, there was a soft sofa, which was incredibly comfortable and relaxing for drinking tea or coffee – it just made me so happy. The view from the terrace was also stunning; the sea was very clear on sunny days. In the evening, you could watch the sunset from the room. What could be more romantic than that? The **breakfast** restaurant was a sea-view restaurant with a huge floor-to-ceiling window. Outside, there was a trestle bridge, the sea, and seagulls – the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The breakfast selection wasn't super extensive, but it covered most Chinese breakfast essentials, and the taste was good. For a four-star hotel, it was really impressive. The **location** is in Huancui District, not far from attractions like Torch 8th Street. There are also many good restaurants nearby. Downstairs are Jinshatan Beach and the Jinhaiwan Trestle Bridge, where many seagulls hover. The hotel has an elevator that goes directly to the beach, and guests are given an exclusive wristband. For families with children who want to play in the water during summer, it's very convenient – you can go straight back to your room via the elevator to wash up after playing. Overall, the accommodation experience was excellent! Full marks, highly recommended!

The room was incredibly spacious and spotless, truly sparkling clean. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the toiletries were fully stocked. I needed an extra pillow midway through my stay, and the front desk sent it up within minutes – their response time was fantastic. The staff also had a great sense of professionalism, never being intrusive. Excellent value for money!

The room smelled strongly of stinky feet when I entered… I had to let it air out for a while before I could stay. The room was tiny, less than 36 square meters, and at over 400 yuan on May 1st, it wasn't worth it. The room was reasonably clean, and they thoughtfully provided disposable toilet seat covers, which was a plus. However, the sink was outside, so getting up alone in the morning would wake everyone… The mattress was movable; it shifted easily with the slightest touch, and I accidentally bumped it, scraping my leg on the corner… The male receptionist was okay, but two of the women were quite rude… Overall, a very poor experience. I initially thought it was a good new place because of the high ratings and positive reviews on Ctrip and the ”luxury” part of the name… but it's just a regular apartment. There are several other places with similar names nearby, probably with similar rooms, but this one is the most expensive… Electric scooters cost 60 yuan a day at the shop, but only 35 yuan a day outside. In short, not worth it! I don't know where the positive reviews came from…

The room was huge, split into two separate areas. Inside, there was a spacious king-size room with a bathroom and bathtub, while outside, there were two single beds. This setup was incredibly convenient, offering panoramic sea views – essentially like having two sea-view rooms in one! The service was excellent, always prompt, and the room itself was clean, tidy, and odor-free.

Just got back from Weihai, and unfortunately, I picked the hottest days to visit. I also chose a sea-view room, which ended up being very warm, and the air conditioning just couldn't cool it down. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the city center, which was convenient for dining with kids. As a star-rated hotel, I expected professional service, and that was the main reason I chose it. I wasn't disappointed. As I mentioned, Weihai was sweltering during my stay, and the room temperature wouldn't drop. I barely slept the first night. After I reported it to the hotel, maintenance came to fix it twice in the heat, but I think the AC unit itself was simply inadequate; it blew cool air, but not cold. I reported it to the front desk the next day, and the staff member in the dark suit handled it with a very professional and proactive attitude. We had excellent rest for the remaining two nights. Throughout our stay, the customer service manager and even the lobby staff when we checked out were all very service-oriented and professional – something you don't often get with a B&B. Yesterday, I was in a hurry to change my flight and forgot to ask for the name of the front desk staff member who helped us switch rooms. I want to thank that individual in the dark suit; they made our stay in Weihai much more comfortable. If I visit Weihai again, I would definitely choose to stay here, precisely because of their professional team. Finally, I want to say that the hotel staff – whether in the lobby, at the front desk, or housekeeping – were all impeccable and highly professional. That's why I'm willing to write this review word for word. However, I do hope the hotel will improve its hardware facilities. In scorching weather, an underperforming air conditioner is a significant drawback.

After looking at many options, I finally settled on this hotel. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the Jinhaiwan Pier on the first floor, and my sea-view room offered direct views of the pier as well. On our first day, they even upgraded our room, which was a really nice surprise. Our stay was fantastic! The staff were all incredibly friendly and always greeted us with a smile. The welcome fruit was also a thoughtful touch. It truly lives up to the reputation of hospitable Shandong!

The location is excellent, quite good. It's very close to Oulefang, about 1KM away, so getting anywhere is not far. It's only a 12-minute taxi ride from Weihai North Station, which is very convenient for catching high-speed trains. The facilities are complete, and the refrigerator in the room is very practical. The whole room has smart voice control, and the curtains and lights can be adjusted with one touch, full of technology. The bedding is soft and promotes sleep, and the sound insulation is outstanding. Check-in at the front desk was fast and efficient. The overall experience was perfect, and the room view exceeded expectations. We were upgraded to a suite with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows that provided ample natural light, making the room feel very atmospheric when the sun shines in during the day. The large smart TV also provided a great viewing experience. Before checking in, the front desk attendant even brought us refreshing herbal tea, which was really nice and instantly relieved most of our fatigue. Overall, the value for money is very high.

First of all, the decor is great; I loved it at first sight, and the room matches the picture perfectly. It's very clean, the room is spacious, and it's soundproof—not noisy at all. Downstairs is the Shandong University Night Market, with tons of delicious and cheap food to choose from, including supermarkets, fruit shops, restaurants, and more. In short, buy it without hesitation, no complaints!!!

First-line sea view with an amazing outlook. The floor-to-ceiling windows face the ocean directly, and you can watch both the sunrise and sunset from the balcony – the ambiance is incredible! The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The front desk service was warm and attentive. Stepping out, you're just a few steps from the beach. It's quiet and restorative, making it the top choice for a vacation. I'll definitely stay here again. The staff were gentle and patient. Waking up to the sound of waves in the morning was wonderful, and it's super photogenic. Excellent value for money, highly recommended!
