I/We found this hotel has an ideal base for my quest to climb Mount Fuji which I did successfully on the 7th of July 2023. It was very pleasant to stay at this hotel. The owners are very welcoming and will do their very best to cater for your needs. Such as providing an English breakfast; which was better than an English breakfast in England (photo). They went so-far as to bake excellent English bread. I did enjoy the Japanese Mackerel breakfast too. The owners are very friendly and have a good sense of humour, and it as from using the translator an animated ourselves to be understood. We played table tennis and use the available bicycles to ride down to the lakeside. The mountain view (to the left) from the room is in fact Fuji. The room was a good size for our needs, comfortable and clean. The hot springs are a natural luxury which we would have used more but my legs were sunburnt from my climb up Mount Fuji. Parking was easy and convenient to unload our luggage. I/we would definitely stay again as it would be our first choice in that area. A thank you to the owners ( Mr & Mrs(Lily?)). Second visit. Mt. Fuji is clear in winter. In the morning, I went to the illumination square in front of the restaurant because it was Akafuji before sunrise. From the right end to red purple, when the sunrise started at about 1 / 3, I returned to the magnificent Fuji, but the sunrise on the left, the full moon on the upper right, and Mt. Fuji in the middle. I have to see this. Under the sunrise is the sea of clouds in Lake Yamanaka. The view that there is everything to see. Since there are many families, the rooms are large and you can see Lake Yamanaka and Mt. Fuji from all rooms. The bath is on the 2nd floor with B1 and the mountain trail is clear from the observation bath. You should see people in the season. It is a good hotel that is calm.

We are glad to have stayed in Fuji Matsuzono Hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable for a family of 3 and there was a small table with 2 chairs that allowed us to sit around to have some late night snacks and drinks. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. When I approached them at 1am for an additional pillow, they immediately attended to the request. The bath area for the onsen was clean and spacious. The amenities provided were also good quality. There is also a great selection of food during breakfast. Most importantly, room was facing Mt Fuji and we managed to get a nice morning view of Mt Fuji when we woke up. The view was spectaculars and there is a nice courtyard that one can take nice photos with Mt fuji in the background. The hotel is also located in a very convenience location. Once you exit the hotel, you will see Lake Yamanakako and there were many eateries nearby, all within walking distance. As we drove, it was also convenience that Lawson and 7-11 is less than 5 min drive away. Will definitely visit again.

Great! The garden view is very beautiful! ! The hot spring private soup is very comfortable! ! Dinner is also very delicious! ! ! The living room on the second floor can directly see Mount Fuji! ! It is the mountain lake~ there is no Kawaguchiko~ the traffic is so convenient. There is a shuttle bus in the hotel. The guests next door have set it away. There is no bus after waiting for 2 hours at the station. The taxi is even more able to book by phone. Finally, I walked 30 minutes. I arrived at the hotel before dark. Passengers who do not have self-driving cars are recommended to leave early and walk directly. The bus system in the town really can't expect it. But! The hotel itself is very good! Very worth a visit! Especially with the elderly or a few children at home, it is more economical to book a townhouse than to book a few rooms in the Kawaguchiko-Net Red Hotel, and there is no obstruction of Mount Fuji view, plus the private soup in the room, especially suitable for family travel. Finally, I offered a few photos. I didn't have good shooting skills. Let's take a look at it. 😂

Very close to the station and there are restaurants and Lawson nearby. There are both indoor and outdoor onsen (after 9pm or before 9am will have less people) for woman, and if you are tall enough then you will be able to see Fuji mountain when you are enjoying the onsen. Our room is high enough so can see the Fuji mountain directly!

The facilities are clean and the customer service is wonderful. The rooms are clean, and there is Wifi and USB port facilities for charging (Western room). The buffet-style meals are rich in variety such as local dishes and delicious. Very satisfied hotel depending on the choice of room. Strategy: Mt. Fuji, which you want from the large communal bath, is blocked by pillars, cherry trees, and it is a pity that you need to stand up from the open-air bath, and you can only see the indoor bath from a limited place while taking a bathtub. Therefore, you need to choose a room on the Mt. Fuji side to enjoy the view of Mt. Fuji from the hotel facilities. Hope: It would be even nice if there were Yoshida's udon noodles, seasonal local vegetables, fruits, and local products (milk, cheese, etc.). If you have already used it, the presentation will increase satisfaction as a traveler. I have tea and tea in the room, but I want coffee.

Pros: 1. The room comfortably accommodated 3 adults, although the bathroom was a bit small even for one person. 2. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was satisfactory. 3. Breakfast met our expectations. 4. The onsen experience was enjoyable overall. 5. The hotel's location is convenient, being close to Lake Kawaguchiko. 6. Free parking area is near the hotel entrance. Cons: 1. We specifically booked a room with a ”mountain view” hoping to see Mount Fuji. Our room was on level 3. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to find that our view only included the tip of the mountain, obstructed by buildings and electric cables. This was quite different from the picturesque view advertised on their website. Considering the high price of the room (SGD$800 per night for 3 persons), this was a huge disappointment. We strongly believe that the hotel should reconsider offering level 3 rooms as 'mountain view' rooms and reserve levels 4 and 5 for this category, as this feels like a misrepresentation. 2. Dinner was a huge letdown. We were served only 2 platters of meat (pork and beef) of average quality and 1 vegetable platter for Shabu Shabu. The selection was extremely limited. Although we were offered a Kaiseki Ryori (multi-course Japanese-style meal) for the next evening, there was an additional charge of over $3000+ yen per person for the upgrade. Despite the extra cost, this option seemed more appealing as we did not want to have the same Shabu Shabu two nights in a row.

Our room was a moderate twin room on 3/F (facing the podium car park which means no view). The room design was good - overall the room size was small (even in tokyo standard - not any bigger) bathroom was even smaller but still provides the essentials that you need. The hotel is more a business hotel which offers everything that you need (free yakult, ice bars, hot coffee, chocolate, ramen, comics corner, and more), hotspring and footbath. Everything you can name, just go and get them/ experience yourself. I appreciated the fact that the hotel has tried to put everything together in a compact space. There are 3 areas for free car parking, each of which is not big - the nearest car park 1 adjacent to the hotel is always full after 6pm. However, there is still no need to panic as another parking area 2 is just nearby (like 2 min walk). Breakfast was just okay - mostly Japanese with limited western choice. Last entry for breakfast is 9am which is very early, making the restaurant always packed during 8-9am. For the 3 nights spent there, our family of 3 had to sit on bar table for 2 days and queue outside to wait for a table (10 mins) on the last check-out day. The waiting was not a very pleasant experience afterall. During the Christmas holiday, the restaurant has also reached its max capacity and life would have been easier for staff and guests if they could extend the breakfast hours till later like other hotels at 10:30am. We will want to try other hotels in Gotemba next time.

GGuest UserWhen I woke up in the morning and opened the tent curtains, the view of Mt. Fuji was so beautiful that I was moved 🗻✨️ Personally, I had so much food that I ended up leaving a little bit of it 💦 But it was delicious 🍖 The bath was an open-air bath and a sauna. There was also. I had a lot of fun with my friends because I could play Roryu! I'm happy to be able to make a bonfire. I felt soothed while drinking coffee and sitting around the bonfire 🔥☕️ The price is a little high, but I would like to go there again if I have the chance ☺️✨️

KKathyWe checked in on the 1/16th. When we arrived, the owner of the hotel had already put down slippers. The owner was very kind. He asked us to take a rest in the reception room and sit on the massage chairs. Only our family checked in on the day. There is a bathhouse, although the bathing pool is small, the family is very comfortable with bubbles. We have dinner at six o'clock. The boss’s son can speak English. The dinner is also very rich and there are many varieties. We can only make it through. We are too full. The breakfast is too rich. After eating, the boss will take us around the scenic spots of Mount Fuji near Lake Yamanaka. In addition, the transportation is very convenient. You can go to the OUTLETS at the station and turn left for two minutes. They can also park in their yard. It is very good, very suitable for bringing your baby to play, it is recommended

Kky917The location of the hotel is relatively remote, but it is no problem if you travel by car. The design and decoration of the hotel are very fashionable, clean and tidy, the surrounding environment is quiet, and you can see deer, kittens, etc. The hotel has two private hot springs for bathing. You can use it by making an appointment with the staff. The basic ladies' toiletries are all available, and the hair dryer is from Dyson✨ The hotel staff were very helpful and patient. I had a problem with my car when I was traveling by car. I needed to call the local police and get a report for insurance compensation. Thanks to the staff who always helped me communicate in Japanese, it made things a lot easier and saved me a lot of worry. 👍All the staff are very helpful. Although I only stayed for one night, I felt very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel. Although Lake Kawaguchi is more popular, Lake Yamanaka is also good. It is close to Shiratorihama and you can have close contact with many swans😆

GGuest UserBecause it was a corner room, it is occupied by Mt. Fuji alone from the room! The meal was never a lot of items, but the seasoning was very good. The soup of the miscellaneous boiling was the best. The room was on the bed by fukafuka and toilet bus, and the public bath was complete and nice. There was one difficulty and there was no key locker in the dressing room. There is a free locker at the entrance of the bath, so the valuables are left there.

カルピンチョA quiet inn in a forest about a 10-minute walk from the shores of Lake Yamanakako. An inn with an image similar to that of a youth hostel. This stay was for 5 adults and was a room with a board space between 8 tatami mats. The cospa was the best because it was split by 5 people. The check-in time was told in advance, but when the schedule changed and we arrived early, the front desk was absent. It seems that only one person is responding, and the phone seems to be difficult to connect. If you have any questions, it seems better to ask them all at once. Reception until 10pm. Room facilities include TV, refrigerator, kettle, tea / cup, and bath towel. There is no yukata or toothbrush. It was not cold at all because I paid a heating fee of 1000 yen and put a stove in the room in winter. Baths and wash basins use shared facilities. The bath is available from 19:00. There is no meal service, but there are several restaurants if you walk to the lake. At the inn there were cup noodle sales and vending machines. An inn with a style that you do yourself. There is no excess service, and I think that is reflected in the price. Comfortable enough.
