Family-friendly Hotels in Yan＇an

Enjoyed a very pleasant 4 day trip to visit the historical and revolutionary sites of Yan’an and the trip was made much better thanks to a very comfortable and convenient stay at the Wanda Realm. For anybody who plans to visit the city I highly recommend this hotel. The hotel is located just to the south of the old city of Yan’an in the newly built Wanda City area. It is a 15-20 minute taxi ride to the old center (depending on traffic) and it’s relatively easy to call a taxi with a ride hailing app like Didi. It’s also within walking distance of the Red Street 红街 tourism area that has a theatre, cinema, activities, coffee shops and restaurants. The hotel is new and all of the main public areas are clean and well maintained - such as the lobby, hotel rooms, restaurant and gym/pool. The gym contains my favorite Life Fitness gym equipment (a quality brand) and the multi-lane, 25m meter pool is a dream for anyone who likes to swim. It even offers a good view. The hotel breakfast is very good value for money and offers a high quality selection of Western-style food (bread, eggs, bacon, sausages and cereals) as well as very tasty local Chinese food - especially local Yan’an/Shanxi noodles and dumplings. For any foreigners like me, you’ll get a good sense of local taste with good ingredients. The room was very clean and spacious with nice balcony and great view of the lake and Red Street. Service staff was excellent and many staff speak good English. We even received a nice hand written message and welcome fruits. Especially if you travel with children, this is where you should stay in Yan’an. Thank you for making my holiday more enjoyable.

Very satisfactory 3 nights stay at Jinze hotel during our recent visit to Yan’an. Hotel room is clean and spacious, bed is comfortable. Very strategic location at the city centre, walkable to QingLiang Hill and the famous food street. Getting a taxi or DIDI is easy. We enjoyed the breakfast served in the hotel which comes with good variety and mostly local dishes. What impressed me most is the friendly staffs who are always enthusiastic to offer help and travel advice. The hotel in-house restaurants offer delicious food that comes with very reasonable price. Not surprisingly that we had several enjoyable meals at the hotel restaurant. The hotel staff also offered us free souvenirs when we checked out. Appreciate the kind gesture very much 😁. No doubt I would recommend this hotel to anyone who will visit Yan’an.

There were a few staff members in the off-season. After being reminded, I saw that the order had been upgraded. I waited for more than half an hour before the room was cleaned. The view is unbeatable, and the Red Street is opposite. The hotel has a shuttle bus for free round-trip transportation.

The service attitude of this hotel is very good, not only the room is comfortable and clean, but the staff always smile, because with the children out, they take the initiative to provide the children's slippers and toiletries, which makes us feel at home. The biggest surprise is that next to Liu Wenxi Art Museum.

The park is covered with green plants. There are outdoor swimming pools for children and adults. Unfortunately, we were in a hurry and didn't have time to experience the water. There are also gardening arrangements, complete housing facilities and equipment, clean and tidy. The staff is very considerate. They turned on the air conditioner in advance, increased the amount of mineral water, and prepared children's slippers. The breakfast is very satisfactory, with Western-style pastries and grains with the characteristics of northern Shaanxi. When checking out, the front desk staff also gave a souvenir, a grain gift bag from northern Shaanxi. In short, I am satisfied! Satisfied! I will recommend other friends to come.

Yan'an Hotel hardware is very good, the corridor is wide, the room is large, the twin beds are 1.5 meters, with the children is to go to this big bed, breakfast is OK. But the management of the hotel is too bad. The carpets in the corridors and rooms are all piece by piece. The maps seem to have not been cleaned. At 11 o'clock in the evening, the room did not change the sheets. The sheets under the quilt touched a small particle on the bed. I don't know what. There was no toilet paper washed away in the bathroom. The night shift waiter service was very good. I cleaned the sheets overnight and changed the sheets. The next day I went to the front desk to reflect that the front desk didn't seem to be concerned. The five diamonds showed felt like the guest house in the past.

This time I brought my dad to Yan'an. Before coming here, I made a strategy on Ctrip and finally chose Taiqi. The decoration of the homestay is very atmospheric, which I like, and the hygiene is also very good. Every service staff here is very enthusiastic. A tall young lady is supposed to be the manager of the store. The service is very good. She went downstairs to pick us up in person. When we arrived, it was just in time for the performance of the scenic spot to start. In order not to let us delay watching the performance, we used the fastest We checked in quickly, and took the two dads to see it first. After we finished delivering our luggage from the room, we handed over the old man to us and then went to work with confidence. For those of us who are traveling from other places Very warm! In short, it is very wise to choose Taiqi among so many homestays.

The hotel is next to the Pagoda Mountain Scenic Area and Erdaogou Night Market, with convenient transportation and you can visit them on foot. The hotel has complete facilities, is clean and sanitary, is located in the city center, but very quiet, the service staff is friendly and enthusiastic, and the specialty shop in the lobby has a rich variety of products, which is very good! It is the best choice for travel and business in Yan'an.

A very special experience; a large parking lot, a concierge brother will carry the luggage when parking, and a housekeeper will recommend the free coffee and tea bar after registration. There are more than a dozen categories of fruit cakes and coffee drinks, which are very rich. Because I stayed in the Bird's Nest room with my children, the children were excited and liked to play crazily. The decoration was in log tones, and there was a very special big bird cage bed in the room. The children liked it ”crazy”. The memory foam mattress was warm and comfortable. It should be a big brand. The wake-up service was provided in the morning to remind me to get up on time at 6 o'clock. The breakfast was very rich, especially the intangible cultural heritage ”mutton soup chopped buckwheat noodles” with Shaanxi characteristics. The chopped buckwheat noodles sister kindly helped me to serve the noodles and sauce, and also briefly talked about the origin of chopped buckwheat noodles in the ancient army. The long-handled broadsword for chopping noodles evolved from the saber used in combat. In short, the breakfast process was delicious and warm, and it was worth the price. After the visit, I returned to the hotel the next night. There were two kinds of porridge prepared for tourists in the lobby for free. I was very moved by the preserved egg and lean meat porridge (there were preserved egg and lean meat porridge and mung bean soup). It was a five-star service. Thanks to the staff of Xinmeihao Hotel.

The hotel stay experience was great, the room was clean and comfortable, and the front desk and service staff were kind and thoughtful.
