On *********** the hotel is called Saryan Hotel Yerevan. Unfortunately, not everything is as beautiful as it seems compared to the reviews of 2018. We booked a room at *********** - large, with a large bed and a balcony. We arrived at the hotel, and the first thing we were asked to do was cancel our reservation on ***********. (Already suspicious, right?) Since they wouldn’t accommodate us otherwise, since we were tired and from the plane, we canceled and paid for all 5 nights by card. After this, we were told that they would provide us with another room for one night, since ours was not ready. We entered the room and saw: a small room, no window, no balcony, with a broken shower and running water in the toilet. The smell is like from a sewer. We barely managed to turn off the water in the toilet. Our room included breakfast. We arrived at 8:50 for breakfast and there was simply no one there. There's not even a cook and the lights are off. The cook came, grumbled and said that the cafe was separate from the hotel and that she usually arrived at 10.00. As a result, after shouting, we got for breakfast: tiny boiled potatoes, spicy cabbage salad and one scrambled egg for two. Boring, tasteless, time-inconvenient. After the first night they told us that they would leave our things in that small room while we were on an excursion, and the next night they would prepare for us the room we had booked. When we returned from the excursion, they said that our room was still occupied and we would only be moved to it the next day. They offered us another room with two separate beds, although we booked one with one large bed and a balcony. And they said that there were no other options. We also asked about breakfast. On the first day they gave it to us at 09.16, although they promised it at 09.00. At 09.20 we had a tour. We said that tomorrow we have another excursion and we need breakfast at 09.00. We were told that there would be no breakfast before 10.00. When we realized all this, we decided to change the hotel. We asked for the money to be returned to the bank card from which we paid. They refused us and gave us cash for 24% less than we paid. And this is 6,000 rubles less than it should be. They called the manager, she was rude, heard only herself, spoke with pressure, almost shouted at her. This was especially unpleasant on the first day of our stay in Armenia. We told our story to the Armenians we met in another hotel where we moved. They are very ashamed of her behavior and of such a hotel. If you don’t want to be scammed like in the 90s, live in a small room with a running toilet and the smell of sewage, although you booked a large one with a beautiful view and a balcony, get a tasteless breakfast no earlier than 10.00, avoid the hotel on Saryan 26/1 no matter what it's called.
