Straight from the plane to the hotel, the shuttle bus was a lifesaver!
What really impressed me was the hotel's free shuttle bus. No need to drag my luggage around looking for transportation! After exiting Terminal 1 A Arrivals at the airport, just follow the signs for a few minutes and you'll find the pick-up point. The bus schedule is super frequent, basically every 30 minutes, running from 9 AM until past 10 PM. I arrived just in time and didn't have to wait at all. The ride to the hotel took less than 10 minutes, which was incredibly convenient for someone with a lot of luggage!

Had a staycation to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Booked a nice deal with the tea time, happy hour & breakfast buffet. First time to book hotel along wanchai and i must say its a convenient place since its near everything. The hotel might be a little old but the service was fast and staff are friendly. Hope they could refill the conditioner dispenser before the guest settled in because when i am taking a shower i was only able to use a small amount of conditioner. But thats only a small glitch, i will still consider to go back and book again.

The hotel service was excellent. The front desk lady had a lovely smile and check-in was very quick. The facilities, well, they reminded me of a high-ranking official's guesthouse in mainland China – a bit old-fashioned, but very clean. The room wasn't huge; it felt spacious for one person, just right for two, and would be cramped for three, so I was glad I was alone. The hotel is large and quiet, with several restaurants. Since I was close to the airport, I didn't dine in the main restaurants, but I did try the cakes from the patisserie in the hallway. They were delicious, much better than the food in the airport terminal. I had them twice, once for dinner and once for breakfast. The lady serving was very kind; she even came out to see me off when I left, thanking me for my patronage and inviting me to come again. I was really touched. Her cakes and coffee were fantastic and very filling. I'll definitely go back for her cakes and coffee if I get the chance. I was in a rush and forgot to take photos, but I'll make sure to next time.

The room was tiny, with two 0.9m beds crammed together in a standard double, which was clearly just a designated tour group hotel. The rooms are separated by partitions, and the soundproofing was absolutely horrendous. I could hear toilets flushing right by my head while lying in bed, and even faint coughs from the next room were crystal clear. What really got my heart racing was the trembling noise from the four elevator doors, like an earthquake, making me instantly feel terrified. For a hotel ranked 6th among luxury hotels in Hong Kong, this must have been hyped up by Trip.com.
The hotel doesn't even provide free bottled water or toiletries. When I called the front desk to ask for water, they only sent one bottle and a pink slip asking for a good review. I had two separate bookings at this hotel; one was for a continuous two-night stay, totaling four nights. Due to the significant room noise, falling asleep was incredibly difficult. I only managed to fall asleep around 2 AM, and by 5-6 AM the next day, noise from other guests chatting started. After the first night, I contacted Trip.com to complain, but they ruthlessly rejected my request. I had to endure four miserable nights, getting only 3-4 hours of sleep each night. During the day, I felt completely dazed and on the verge of a breakdown.
For such a poorly maintained hotel, the room rates were also extremely high. The first two nights averaged over 1600 RMB per night including breakfast, and even the breakfast was terrible. The last two nights averaged over 1200 RMB per night, and that didn't even include breakfast. I will never trust Trip.com's hotel ratings again. This was an absolutely disastrous booking, and I'm giving both the hotel and Trip.com a massive bad review.

The hotel located near Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station at walking distance. Room was great, clean and spacious. Wifi was fast and reliable. Staff were nice. There was shopping mall nearby where you can use the hotel elevator to get there (Level B1 - DONKI mall, and Level 1/2 - mira place). But that means people other than hotel guests may use the elevator so it is very busy during peak hour. There were pocket wifi and traveling adaptor provided for foreigner so you can explore Hong Kong freely without using your own mobile data.

The hotel's location is super convenient, less than 200 meters from Tin Hau MTR station. There are plenty of dining options nearby, with many street food stalls, fruit shops, and mini-marts right downstairs. The front desk offers power bank rentals and fast-charging cables, making it easy to charge your phone.
I'm not sure if I got lucky or if all rooms have such high ceilings, but this room on the 27th floor felt like it had a ceiling height of about 4 meters. The room itself isn't large, but it doesn't feel stuffy or cramped at all. The only drawback is the tiny bathroom, especially the shower area. Plus, the frosted glass is a bit too translucent; it would be awkward to shower if you're not with someone you're very familiar with.
The hotel is very thoughtful; the room comes with a universal adapter and multi-functional charging cables, so it's easy to charge different types of phones. Additionally, you can store your luggage before check-in and after check-out, which makes getting around much easier.
A big thank you to the hotel for proactively calling me to let me know they found my ID and bank card that I left on the bed – that was amazing! And to top it off, when I checked out on the last day of 2025 (which sounds like it's still in the future!), the hotel gave me Ferrero Rocher chocolates. I was so happy; it was a sweet way to welcome the New Year's holiday.
This has been my go-to hotel for the past year, and it's excellent; I always give it a high rating. It's one of the larger hotels in the Kwun Tong area, with over 300 rooms spread across more than 30 floors. The location is ideal, situated between two MTR stations, making it convenient to reach either Ngau Tau Kok or Kwun Tong station. There are also many bus routes nearby, getting to Tsim Sha Tsui in under half an hour, plus a direct bus to the airport. You'll find plenty of dining options in the vicinity, including cha chaan tengs, Hong Kong-style noodle shops, dim sum restaurants, snack bars, Cafe de Coral, and McDonald's, and there are even two convenience stores. The hotel itself also has a Western breakfast restaurant. The rooms are clean, relatively spacious, and comfortable, and if you're on a higher floor, you might even get a view of Victoria Harbour. However, there's one thing I need to complain about regarding the king room I stayed in this time: the bathroom mirror and the sink are not in the same location, making it very inconvenient to wash your face or blow-dry your hair. Previous rooms didn't have this issue. The bathroom in this king room uses a glass partition, so the mirror can't be mounted on the glass. I suggest the hotel install an extendable mirror on the left wall next to the sink for guests' convenience (see picture). I hope hotel management sees this and makes improvements.

The hotel boasts a convenient location with excellent public transport links. It's only a few hundred meters from the MTR Fortress Hill Station, about a 5-minute walk. There's also a 'ding ding' tram route nearby; make sure to take a ride on this century-old tram!
The rooms are well-equipped with amenities like air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and a refrigerator. It's worth noting that the hotel embraces an eco-friendly philosophy, so disposable toiletries (like toothbrushes and combs) and complimentary bottled water are not proactively provided. Guests should bring their own or purchase them at the hotel. The Deluxe Seaview Rooms offer views of Victoria Harbour.
There are also some great local snacks around the hotel. For those with a sweet tooth, I recommend 'Fook Yuen Tang Yuan'.

Let's start with the positives:
The hotel is incredibly close to the concert venue, making it super convenient for shows. They even have a dedicated entrance for quick security checks.
It's only a 30-minute taxi ride from the airport to the hotel.
Nearby, there's the Kai Tak Retail Hub with plenty of great food and drink options. You can easily snag a table at Chicha San Chen and Sushiro during non-peak hours when there aren't any performances.
Now for the negatives:
It's not particularly close to Sung Wong Toi or Kai Tak MTR stations.
Since it's an eco-friendly hotel, the facilities are a bit basic. However, considering the usual room rates in Hong Kong are quite reasonable, it balances out. That said, during performance events, the room prices skyrocket.

Check in was fast and room was good size for the price and area of Causeway Bay which is always busy.
There was a tap for filtered water in bathroom to refill bottles and drink clean water.
Room was quiet and air con strong though Hong Kong was cool during visit. Decor in room was older but hotel has classical design and grand looking reception area.
Did not try other facilities or food as many restuarants nearby.
Would stay here again.

MM303245****Our stay was fantastic! The service was exceptionally attentive, from the thoughtful contact before check-in to promptly addressing every request afterward. It truly felt genuine, warm, and heartfelt. The hotel is located in the city center, making it incredibly convenient for dining, entertainment, and getting around. Excellent, highly recommended!
AAnonymous UserThe service at this hotel is excellent. The front desk staff are all very friendly. The cleanliness is spot on. It's clear that it's well-managed. The windows are soundproofed very well, but the doors aren't, and they make a lot of noise when opened and closed.
GGuest UserIt’s a very good hotel with friendly staff, and spacious given that it’s in Hong Kong 🤣 cleanliness is good too, although no disposable amenities and drinking water provided. Although you can take the water from lobby, but would prefer to have bottled water. Location is not exactly at the busy streets and do expect some walking to nearest convenience stores/metro station. Overall I’m satisfied with the hotel and will reconsider starting again.

The only positive aspect of this property is its convenient location.
Please note that a late check-in fee applies if prior notice is not given, which should be clearly stated at the time of booking.
The room on the first night was very different from the advertised photos. The condition was poor, with peeling wallpaper, giving the impression of a room under repair, and not suitable to be sold as accommodation. Fortunately, the staff assisted in changing my room, so I stayed there for only one night.
The room on the following nights was in better condition and more in line with what was booked, suitable for a solo traveler.
The most serious incident occurred when an older woman (whom I believe to be the property owner) entered my room without any prior notice or permission while I was getting dressed. Thankfully, my luggage was blocking the door.
She then continued knocking persistently, and assuming it was an emergency, I opened the door. She entered the room with a maintenance worker to give instructions for repairs, without acknowledging me or respecting my privacy, and left after a brief apology.
After this incident, the staff informed me that the door would be repaired, which I agreed to. I went out for the entire day and returned to the hotel around 1:00 AM. At that time, the key card did not function properly, and after briefly entering and exiting the room, the key card completely stopped working, leaving me unable to access my room.
As it was late at night, I had to contact the staff and wait for quite some time before the issue was resolved. I was finally able to re-enter my room at approximately 1:38 AM.
I would like to thank the staff member who eventually came to assist and resolved the issue.
However, I was informed that luggage storage would be provided free of charge only if a “very good” review was posted on Google, which felt unprofessional and inappropriate.
Overall, this experience seriously compromised my privacy and sense of safety.
I would not recommend this property to travelers who value privacy and proper service standards.
__WeChat46033****Much better than expected! It's very close to Wan Chai MTR Station Exit C, about 200 meters away. Along the way, there are many small eateries, and also many Caucasians and South Asians starting to drink and hang out on the streets in the afternoon. There's also a trendy Hong Kong dessert shop nearby that's been quite popular recently, but the queue was too long so I didn't go in. By chance, I stumbled into a noodle shop called 'Jiang Gong Yan Xuan' (姜公严选), which was indeed delicious, but surprisingly didn't accept Octopus or Alipay.
Like many hotels in Hong Kong, the room is small, but the interior space here felt quite reasonable and didn't give off a cramped feeling. The bathroom was tiny, with the door hitting my knees when sitting on the toilet, but it was clean and newly renovated, which was a plus. We got complimentary coffee upon check-in, and the reception staff were very enthusiastic and helped with our luggage. However, be sure to request a room away from the elevator; I noticed one room directly next to the elevator on our floor, which would definitely have poor sound insulation. Staying in the middle of the corridor, there were no issues.
KKanfengjingderenThe Grand View Hotel in Hong Kong boasts stunning sea views and elegant, cozy rooms. It offers advanced facilities and meticulous service, ensuring a delightful stay on Hong Kong Island. There's a swimming pool, and a free shuttle bus service to Tsuen Wan is available.
MM624408****The room was very spacious, equipped with a kitchenette and all the necessary dinnerware. The views were open and expansive. While the location might be a bit challenging for first-time visitors to Hong Kong, the hotel offers several complimentary shuttle services to and from Central daily. The Pedder Street shuttle stop is conveniently located at the bus station near Central MTR Exit D1. There's also a stop at IFC, but I haven't personally used it, so it's best to inquire with the hotel for specific boarding points.
If you prefer taking public transport, from Admiralty Station Exit B, turn right for about ten meters onto Tamar Street, then turn right again and walk twenty meters to the bus stop for the 12A. It's only two stops to the hotel, at the 'YWCA' stop. From there, walk back about twenty meters to reach the hotel.
When heading back to the hotel from Central, the 12A bus is also the best option. It will first go to Admiralty Bus Terminus and stop for a few minutes while the driver takes a break. You can simply wait on the bus; there's no need to purchase another ticket. I figured this out after staying for four days, as the 12A is a short circular route specifically designed for MacDonnell Road residents. Every time I queued at Admiralty, I'd see people already on board, leading me to conclude they had traveled from Central and were waiting to go up the hill back to MacDonnell Road.
MM297565****This place is decent. The hygiene is pretty good, though the room is a bit small. That's understandable given that space is at a premium on Hong Kong Island. The price was great during the off-season, especially with fewer people around due to the typhoon. The guy at the front desk was very enthusiastic. It was drizzling all day, and because of the typhoon, the MTR to Hong Kong Island was temporarily shut down. I tried to hail a Didi for ages in the morning; taxis didn't want to go out because of the typhoon, and Didi drivers were price gouging, asking for HKD 300 or even HKD 500. Some even accepted the order but never showed up and didn't cancel. It wasn't even that far. Finally, an uncle accepted the order and showed up in the rain, and he didn't even charge extra! I couldn't believe it, he was a truly honest person. The wind and rain weren't even that bad, and there were few cars on the road. I chatted with the driver; he spoke Cantonese, and we spoke Mandarin, but we could mostly understand each other. Older people are often more down-to-earth. The driver was over 50, born in Hong Kong, with ancestral roots in Guangdong. His daughter is still young. It's not easy for men to provide for their families. We arrived at the hotel quickly, and the fare was HKD 123. We gave the driver a 10 RMB note as a tip to thank him.
BBubbleCatThe location is fantastic, right in the heart of Causeway Bay. It's a very historic hotel, almost like stepping back in time. However, you can't evaluate the amenities by modern standards, or you'll be disappointed. It's perfectly fine for a short stay of a night or two though.
CChiapanecoReally impressed by this hostel. Very well run and thought-out. Well-designed dorm rooms, AC all day. Each bed has a lamp and two universal plugs.
Great common area (though fills up sometimes) with a full kitchen, including two induction burners, a rice cooker, an air fryer and a large fridge/freezer. Fast and reliable wifi. Never had to wait long for the elevator. Clear signage on the front to find the hostel and check-in (a rarity in China).
Very competent staff who speak good English.
Located right by a metro station, a Wellcome grocery store and Temple Street night market. Walking distance to Mong Kok area but it's best to take the metro anywhere else. I would 100% stay here again.
