Regala Skycity Hotel is the nearest airport hotel of Terminal 2 of Hong Kong Chep Lap Kok Airport. The first free shuttle bus service starts at 6.15 am from the bus interchange at Terminal 2. Waiting bay is between lanes 9 and 11. Late check-out is allowed upon request until 1 pm.
As my experience goes, there is no need to pay room deposit of HK$500 after paying for the room rate in full at Trip.com. If the guest chose to pay at the hotel, HK$500 which is roughly around S$83, is required. The hotel allows rooms for day use until 6 pm and room deposit is required.
I chose to stay at Regala Skycity Hotel in order to review its rooftop as the hotel promotes the use of its rooftop for physical exercises and plane-spotting. The rooftop is above the twelfth floor, two fire doors up from the eleventh floor.
On the rooftop, I can see jets flying towards the direction of the sea above the rooftop. If an aeroplane flies towards the airport in the opposite direction, plane-spotting can be done at the twelfth floor corridor end-window. It is amazing that jets can be seen flying towards the airport above the sea. Hong Kong Airport Terminal 1 and Regala Airport Hotel can also be noticed.
Focal length is 200mm to 500mm. In the afternoon after check-out, I am grateful that the receptionist allows me to go up to the rooftop again for plane-spotting till sun set with out paying for a room for day use.
About the small, comfortable room that I stayed, the garden view is not that magnificent. There are no trees fortunately. There are no bottles of mineral water in the room. Heat a kettle of water and pour the water into the hotel's glass bottle to drink later.
About the shower room, the anti-slip mattress is available for use.
The hotel restaurant serves complimentary breakfast with Hong Kong-style breakfast as the highlight. There is no American-style breakfast to eat.
It is very expensive to stay in Regala Skycity Hotel but I will stay here again for the purpose of plane-spotting if there were new airliners flying to the airport at the appropriate time.

Conveniently located right at Terminal 1 Arrivals, it's super easy to find. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The room is actually quite spacious for Hong Kong standards, and the price is reasonable. Getting around is very convenient – taxis and buses are readily available. The shower water gets nice and hot, but it's a bathtub, not a walk-in shower.

Our first hotel during this ***** New Year trip to Hong Kong was surprisingly good, exceeding all expectations! Even though it was crowded, everything was well-organized. The staff were incredibly friendly and always greeted us proactively. Our room was spotlessly clean, and while not huge, it had everything we needed. Breakfast was also good with a wide variety of choices, though it was a bit cramped due to the holiday crowds. My favorite part was definitely the shuttle bus to the airport and Tung Chung. This 'magic bus' runs morning and night, making it super convenient to get around. I was initially worried about long waits if there were too many people, but they actually added extra buses to accommodate everyone. You can also explore Lantau Island and Tai O nearby, which was a unique experience seeing a different side of Hong Kong for the first time! If I'm ever in this area again, I'll definitely choose this hotel.

This is my umpteenth time staying here because it's so close to where I take my classes. The main reason I keep coming back is that the front desk staff are always so nice. Every time I ask for an upgrade, they're always friendly about helping me out.

This was my first time staying at a Marriott hotel, and I found it through my own search. It's a bit far from the bustling city center, which makes for a very quiet environment. I have to especially praise the female staff member; she was not only beautiful but also incredibly kind-hearted. She automatically upgraded my room! After staying in several expensive and tiny rooms in Hong Kong, this was such a pleasant surprise. My room went from about 10-odd square meters to a spacious 28 square meters, complete with a large floor-to-ceiling window. I was so thrilled! Even though I didn't sleep well due to my own reasons, I'll definitely keep supporting Marriott hotels.

Overall, a five-star rating for the hotel. The front desk manager and other staff were incredibly nice and great. They kindly adjusted my room because I'm a light sleeper, which I really appreciate. The hotel's location is excellent, with metro and bus stations nearby and plenty of great food and snacks in the area. Highly recommend.

I was in such a rush in Hong Kong that I forgot to take photos of the hotel room 😂 but I was quite happy with the hotel overall. The location is relatively close to Disneyland; you can get there by MTR, and having an MTR station nearby makes it convenient to go elsewhere too. The hotel is located inside a mall, with plenty of dining options downstairs. The room was quite spacious, the bedding was clean and tidy, and there was even a small sofa. The bathroom was a normal size and had a bathtub. Good value for money. The little restaurant across from the hotel had pretty good food.
The hotel offered a free pick-up service from Kowloon MTR station, which saved us a few hundred yuan in transportation costs. The hotel itself was excellent, with fantastic facilities and a clean environment. The staff were all very friendly and smiled a lot. The next day, they even provided a complimentary shuttle to the theme park.

This hotel claims to be eco-friendly and doesn't provide complimentary bottled water. Fine, I understand. However, out of our two rooms, one had water and the other didn't. After repeatedly asking at the front desk, they said it was a mistake? So others get water, but we don't? Talk about double standards! We stayed for three nights and even went to the supermarket to buy a large bottle of mineral water. Then, the bizarre thing happened! Every day during cleaning, they'd add another bottle of water for us! If you were going to provide it, why didn't you say so earlier? Do you know how much effort it took for us to carry that water? And the toilet is incredibly uncomfortable, I'm disgusted. Other aspects are okay, and the scenery is nice. But the service is just terrible; they don't provide anything. No toothbrushes or toothpaste either, sigh.

The location and transport links are absolutely top-notch – that's this hotel's biggest selling point! It's right in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui's Nathan Road, and a side entrance leads directly to the MTR Tsim Sha Tsui Station L3/L4 exits, so you won't get wet even if it's raining. It's just a 5-minute walk to Victoria Harbour and the Avenue of Stars, and 10 minutes to shopping havens like Harbour City and K11. If you get tired from shopping, you can pop back to the hotel anytime to drop off your bags, which is super convenient for shoppers and sightseers alike. It's also only a few minutes from the Star Ferry Terminal and China Ferry Terminal, making it easy to travel to Hong Kong Island or mainland China. Hong Kong International Airport is about a 45-minute drive away, so the transport connections are truly perfect. The surrounding amenities are unbeatable too: there's a mall downstairs, Sasa, convenience stores, local diners (cha chaan tengs), and specialty food shops everywhere. It's incredibly handy for all your meals and last-minute purchases.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent. There are dim sum and dinner places right downstairs, which was convenient for me. Turn left when you exit and you'll find a tram stop, and the MTR station is about a seven or eight-minute walk away. The hotel service was also great, and the room size was decent, especially considering how valuable space is in Hong Kong. The only downside was that the room was extremely damp; it felt clammy even after sleeping for a while. Also, the room I was assigned was next to the elevator shaft, so I heard the elevator going up and down all night.
YYunbaiThe room is a bit small, but the hygiene is decent. It's located next to Aberdeen, about 1 kilometer from the city center. The actual location is Tin Wan Village (which can be understood as a small town), and the seaside is a typhoon shelter for fishing boats. There are a few restaurants just a few dozen meters downstairs. It's okay for a one-night stay, quite quiet, and offers a glimpse of Hong Kong different from the bustling downtown area.
MM491999****Best value for money! The room was clean and tidy, and the service was warm and attentive. Just a few steps to the right outside the hotel is a Jiyi snack stall with freshly fried ingredients. The chicken cutlet was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the sauce was amazing. It's a one-stop shop for accommodation and food, definitely go for it!

JJerryblinkCame to Hong Kong alone for the BLACKPINK concert, and I was already very satisfied just by the hotel's surprise! The hotel's location is super easy to find, right out of Exit C at Yau Ma Tei, and only a twenty-minute walk from West Kowloon Station. It's convenient for getting anywhere! I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Hong Kong!
MM305587****If you're running the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon, I highly recommend this hotel. Its location is absolutely unbeatable – the starting line entrance is right outside. The hotel itself is small but has everything you need, and it's clean, tidy, and the service is excellent! 👍👍👍👍👍
LLasaiqixiongcilvThis was the first hotel I stayed at upon arriving in Hong Kong, and the excellent experience gave me a great initial impression of the city. A big thank you to Victoria Xu, who made the entire check-in process smooth and efficient with her fluent Mandarin. She even upgraded our room for free to a larger one, with plenty of space for our luggage. She proactively helped us with the elevator, pressing the button for us when she saw we had a lot of bags, and holding the door open when we exited. When we checked out, Victoria Xu even gave us a canvas bag for our belongings. It's a shame I accidentally left it behind in Hong Kong because I was in such a hurry to catch my flight home. Overall, the service was great, the stay was comfortable, it's close to the MTR station, and easy to find.
GGuest UserIt was an amazing stay! The thing I liked was that the room was spacious and we had a balcony. This would’ve been a perfect 10/10 if it weren’t for the toilet problem our room had. But the hotel was so accommodating and made sure our room was cleaned every day because of the toilet issue. I would definitely consider coming back.
GGuest UserThe room was very spacious, equipped with a kitchenette and all the necessary dinnerware. The views were open and expansive. While the location might be a bit challenging for first-time visitors to Hong Kong, the hotel offers several complimentary shuttle services to and from Central daily. The Pedder Street shuttle stop is conveniently located at the bus station near Central MTR Exit D1. There's also a stop at IFC, but I haven't personally used it, so it's best to inquire with the hotel for specific boarding points.
If you prefer taking public transport, from Admiralty Station Exit B, turn right for about ten meters onto Tamar Street, then turn right again and walk twenty meters to the bus stop for the 12A. It's only two stops to the hotel, at the 'YWCA' stop. From there, walk back about twenty meters to reach the hotel.
When heading back to the hotel from Central, the 12A bus is also the best option. It will first go to Admiralty Bus Terminus and stop for a few minutes while the driver takes a break. You can simply wait on the bus; there's no need to purchase another ticket. I figured this out after staying for four days, as the 12A is a short circular route specifically designed for MacDonnell Road residents. Every time I queued at Admiralty, I'd see people already on board, leading me to conclude they had traveled from Central and were waiting to go up the hill back to MacDonnell Road.
GGuest UserThis place is decent. The hygiene is pretty good, though the room is a bit small. That's understandable given that space is at a premium on Hong Kong Island. The price was great during the off-season, especially with fewer people around due to the typhoon. The guy at the front desk was very enthusiastic. It was drizzling all day, and because of the typhoon, the MTR to Hong Kong Island was temporarily shut down. I tried to hail a Didi for ages in the morning; taxis didn't want to go out because of the typhoon, and Didi drivers were price gouging, asking for HKD 300 or even HKD 500. Some even accepted the order but never showed up and didn't cancel. It wasn't even that far. Finally, an uncle accepted the order and showed up in the rain, and he didn't even charge extra! I couldn't believe it, he was a truly honest person. The wind and rain weren't even that bad, and there were few cars on the road. I chatted with the driver; he spoke Cantonese, and we spoke Mandarin, but we could mostly understand each other. Older people are often more down-to-earth. The driver was over 50, born in Hong Kong, with ancestral roots in Guangdong. His daughter is still young. It's not easy for men to provide for their families. We arrived at the hotel quickly, and the fare was HKD 123. We gave the driver a 10 RMB note as a tip to thank him.
SSongshanlvluThe hotel opened in 1992, and for the price I paid, it met my expectations this stay. The room and bed were just as described – clean and tidy! The windowsill was a great touch; it held a lot of stuff, making the room feel less cramped. There was no drinking water or toiletries provided, but they did give slippers and towels. You'll need to bring your own adapter. I stayed for 2 nights and was satisfied. The location is convenient. The only downside was the hotel WiFi; too many people were using it, so it was either very slow or impossible to connect. The hotel lobby is on the first floor, and the staff's working conditions looked quite tough. I remember it used to be on the third floor. I didn't take any photos inside the hotel, but I did snap some outside the window.
