Price: cheap
Location: good, walking distance to the mrt but the walkway is quite dark at night, not suitable for solo travelers
The room: spacious but a bit run down. Can see the carpet and some of the furniture were old. The beds were soft and comfy but the pillows were quite thin
We had a really pleasant stay at Paxtonz Premium Suites Petaling Jaya. The room was spotless and very well maintained. You can tell they take cleanliness seriously, which made us feel comfortable right away. The amenities were excellent, especially the pool and gym facilities, which were clean and enjoyable to use.
The location is decent and convenient enough to get around Petaling Jaya, though you may need a short drive to reach some main attractions or malls. Service was generally good, staff were polite and helpful when we needed assistance, though there’s a bit of room for improvement in responsiveness.
Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay, especially for couples. We would definitely consider staying here again for a short getaway.
Front desk was super smelly , toilet smell.. with flies.. check in process was slow..
Swimming pool water was smelly and too much chlorine..
Breakfast was average, not tasty
Kids bed was not cleaned properly, itchy.. toilet small and door was not done properly...
View was good, deco room okay
Stayed here recently and had a pretty solid experience 👍. Location's great, super close to LRT Asia Jaya so getting around was a breeze 🚆. Rooms were clean and comfy, staff were friendly and helpful 😄. Only thing was WiFi was a bit iffy at times, but didn't ruin the stay. Breakfast buffet was decent too. Overall, good value for money, would stay again 👍.
Everything about This hôtel was amazing my kinds regards to the staff especially Fara at the reception who was very Kind and helpful , i recommand this place , the room was clean , confortable with everything you need , the food at the indulge restaurant was amazing the breakfast choice was insane , so many options and really tasty . I really enjoyed the pool and the gym who was really clean with all the necessary .
Surprise with earlier check in!
Service up to standard, at least able to handle simple question like location, explain to how go swimming pool.
Attentive with my lost expression.- helpful
Small incident
Day 1, for room cleaning- did not clean the two cups
Day 2, water bottle - I broken the open (like canned opener), they replaced it with plastic mineral bottle
Small sofa, materials seems not recommended- causing itchy skin.. not sure due to.. me or the sofa materials or the hygiene.
Aircond seems quite cool.. luckily is adjustable.
Refurbish at the acceptable level. Overall feel moderate not antique.
Walking to shopping mall is the best for choosing the place.
Good sound proof too.

Traveling to Malaysia or having an overnight layover? Ditch those hard airport benches! Let me share my experience at Sama-Sama Hotel, the only 5-star airport hotel at KLIA T1.
✈️ If you're arriving on an international flight (at KLIA Terminal 1), whether you need a good rest after a long journey or have an early flight the next day, this hotel is definitely your top choice.
🚗 How to get from Arrivals to the Hotel?
(Includes shuttle service guide)
Please do not attempt to walk with heavy luggage; it's quite a distance (approx. 500 meters).
🛬 Arrive at Level 2: After clearing immigration and collecting your baggage, take the elevator to Level 2.
📍 Find the Buggy Station: Look for signs pointing to 'Sama-Sama Hotel.' The shuttle station is directly opposite the Food Garden.
🚗 Call a Shuttle: There's a dedicated 24-hour free buggy service. Just wait a moment (or press the call button), and a uniformed staff member will drive you and your luggage via an indoor skybridge directly to the hotel lobby in just 3 minutes.
🍳 A 'Food City' Level Breakfast that Amazes the Taste Buds
The hotel's Continents restaurant offers 24-hour service, and its breakfast is renowned.
🥘 A Fusion of Global Flavors: Malaysian dishes (the Nasi Lemak is a must-try!), Chinese dim sum and hot congee, authentic Indian curry with Roti Canai, Thai Tom Yum, and a full Western breakfast spread.
🍰 Dessert Paradise: A wide variety of Western cakes, freshly baked bread, and colorful Nyonya pastries, all visually stunning.
🏨 Hotel Facilities and History
Although the hotel opened in 1998 (formerly Pan Pacific), it underwent extensive renovations when it rebranded as Sama-Sama in 2013. It's incredibly well-maintained and exudes a 5-star quality.
✨ Room Types: Offers 442 rooms, including Deluxe, Premier, and more luxurious Suites. The rooms feature double-glazed windows for excellent soundproofing, and some even offer views of the tarmac.
🏊♀️ Swimming Pool and Gym: The outdoor tropical garden pool on the 1st floor has a fantastic ambiance, and the 24-hour gym is fully equipped.
💆 Sari Kayangan Spa: Provides professional Malay massage services, perfect for relieving flight fatigue.
🍸 Traveller’s Bar & Grill: Features live band performances in the evening, offering steaks and various cocktails in a wonderful atmosphere.
✨ As a national airport hotel, it frequently hosts dignitaries, sports stars (like F1 drivers), and VVIPs attending international conferences.
💡 How to choose a transit hotel❓
✅ Sama-Sama has two properties at KLIA T1; choose based on your needs:
1️⃣ Sama-Sama Express (airside/near Gate C5): No immigration required, suitable for short transits of up to 6 hours, charged hourly, and more affordable.
2️⃣ Sama-Sama Hotel (landside/this review's focus): Requires immigration clearance into Malaysia. Highly recommended for stays longer than 6 hours! Offers larger spaces, more comfortable bedding, and a full range of facilities.👍
The location is great and convenient, and the facilities provided are generally good. Breakfast was okay with decent variety. However, the pool area could use better maintenance, as it looked a bit lacking in hygiene. Overall, a decent stay with room for improvement.
Room was immaculate with good view of the city.
Great pillows. I received a chocolate cake with a birthday wish as my birthday falls in January. That was touching!
The only hiccup was the housekeeping which didn’t top up the tea bags. I called at 8am, they acknowledged but no one came until it’s time for me to check out at 1pm.
Overall, I had a good stay.

I accidentally booked an extra room, and when I tried to cancel it that evening, the hotel wouldn't process the refund. The front desk staff found my booking and said that everyone authorized to handle cancellations for the night had already left, so I had no choice but to forfeit the cost of one room. The twin room was quite small. I had originally planned for four of us to sleep separately in three rooms, but to my surprise, each room was located very far from the others, making it inconvenient to retrieve clothes and other items. All the rooms were on the first floor. The two rooms my family and I booked were ridiculously far apart, requiring us to walk through numerous corridors, each with a key-card accessible door. It felt like a prison, and walking back and forth felt like visiting someone in jail. The most ridiculous issues were the soundproofing and the drinking water. For the price, I expected bottled mineral water, like you'd get in a four-star hotel or better. Instead, they provided a water filter kettle, requiring me to fill it with tap water, filter it, and then drink it. Otherwise, I had to go to a public area to get filtered water, which was extremely inconvenient. I can appreciate their eco-friendly approach, but I don't support paying this price for such an experience. The bathroom and toilet were even stranger. The shower didn't have a door, so after showering, the entire bathroom floor was wet. Did they expect me to sit on the toilet barefoot, covered in water? The bathroom had that cheap, integrated, plastic-y feel, typical of budget Japanese-style units. At night, the room had absolutely no soundproofing. Someone in the next room was watching TV in the middle of the night, and I ended up listening to the entire plot with them. Not to mention the sounds of people passing by in the corridor, opening and closing doors, and talking – every sound was perfectly audible. It's very close to the airport, so there were many planes taking off at night, making it despairingly noisy. You absolutely need to bring earplugs, otherwise, it's impossible to sleep. They do have a convenient airport shuttle, but it operates on a fixed schedule, and you need to be there three hours beforehand because security and immigration in Malaysia are incredibly slow. Unless you have a tight flight schedule, I absolutely do not recommend this hotel.

GGuest UserI am writing to provide serious negative feedback regarding the conduct and unhelpfulness of your Assitant Front Office Managerduring my recent stay on 16/12/2025-18/12/2025 for 3 rooms.
I have stayed in this hotel since the official opening and enjoyed most of my stays here. My local associate will always made the bookings to save my hassles until July this year.
I have also met many excellent staff all these years in this hotel but not this trip.
My experience was defined by a profound lack of assistance at a critical moment, which significantly diminished my impression of the hotel.
The core issues were as follows:
Refusal to Assist with a Reasonable Upgrade Request:
· The Situation: Upon check-in, I politely inquired about the possibility of an upgrade due to the assigned rooms are at the far corner of the building and need a squarish room to add an extra bed.
The Front Office Manager dismissed the inquiry immediately with a flat ”no,” stating room types are fixed at booking. If I want a suarish room, I need to upgrade and pay an additional of Rm50 per day. There was no effort done but simply ask for additional fee to change the room type and Rm120 for an additional bed after the change.
The tone was dismissive and transactional, making me feel like an inconvenience rather than a valued guest seeking to enhance my stay. This contradicts basic hospitality principles of exploring possibilities to delight guests.
There was a discrepancy in my booking details made through online. I requested the front office contact to clarify and resolve the issue, as they had the contract and authority. The assistant manager outright refused, stating it was ”my responsibility” to contact the agency myself. This is a fundamental failure in service. A key role of the front office is to act as a liaison and problem-solver for the guest. By refusing to make a simple professional call to a partner agency, the manager shifted all burden onto me, wasted my time during my vacation, and demonstrated a shocking lack of initiative and guest advocacy. It amplified a minor issue into a major frustration.
This was not a minor service lapse; it was a failure of core front-office leadership functions: empowerment, problem-solving, and guest advocacy. The manager displayed a rigid, unaccommodating attitude focused on policy enforcement over guest satisfaction. Instead of being the ultimate solution-provider for the front desk team, the manager became a roadblock.
After all the hassles, I requested my friend to book an additional room and pay around Rm480 instead of wasting my time with the unprofessional “executive”. To my surprise, the room is squarish instead of semi rounded as what the Asst Front office manager claimed earlier.
On our check out day on 8/12/2026, my guest return their keys at the front desk but was told that there is any outstanding amount of around rm480 to be paid. This cause frustrations to my guest and embarrassment to me greatly.
When I clarified with the front desk personally after receiving a call from my guest, I was told was their mistake as they have overlooked something after some checks.
I expect this feedback to be formally addressed. The Front Office Manager requires:
1. Retraining in empathetic service recovery, upselling techniques, and the proper handling of third-party bookings.
2. Clarification of Authority: Managers must be empowered (and expect to use that empowerment) to make exceptions, make phone calls, and find solutions within reasonable limits.
3. A Shift in Mindset: From gatekeeper of policies to enabler of positive guest experiences.
I expect a formal response from hotel management regarding the steps taken to address this serious service failure.
AAnonymous UserSmall hotel but very good for convenient for touring around the city. At the heart of downtown just right across famoous street food night market, surrounded by shopping centers and restos, few blocks away from the hop-on-hop-off tour bus. The room is clean, modern and well-equipped. Just a warning to those looking for a quiet relaxing stay, do ask for a room not facing the front street as night life in the area could be noisy. Staff are professional and helpful. Will book again if coming to KL.
PPriya24The hotel is beside mines 2 and fast food outlets are ready available. There is a carwash jz outside and a 7-11 on site. Convenience and basic necessities and amenities are readily available, suited for the price.

MM314614****Staying at the Hilton Petaling Jaya for my business trip in a deluxe twin room was an absolutely perfect experience! The room was spotlessly clean, and the environment was quiet and elegant, making it ideal for both work and relaxation. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, and any requests were handled super promptly. The hotel facilities are also excellent; both the pool and fitness areas are very well-maintained. Overall, it exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next business trip!
SStarferryStrategic location at Putrajaya. Right at the shopping mall and very convenient to find food. Room is spacious. However, the breakfast is packed breakfast that I think shouldn't not be offered at all. Anyone booking this hotel, need not book the room with breakfast. Full with disappointments only.

AAng.LinSecond time stay within a month. Convenient to check in as reception is at the lobby. Just be prepared with RM200 cash for deposit. Vehicle parking is also easy - RM2 for 3 hours and RM6 for whole day.
Apartment with a view. It is comfortable with fresh bedsheets and towels. Toiletries provided.
Highly recommended.
