And so in an early December sunrise we woke up as soon as possible to be able to visit this incredible wonder. A mosque (the oldest in the world) built on the remains of the Temple of Solomon, the most sacred place of the Jewish religion (the Wailing Wall is all that remains). Jerusalem is layers and layers of stories and this is the perfect example. Entering such a place is really intense. The Dome of the Rock stands out in the Jerusalem skyline with its 30kg of authentic gold covering it. An unmissable stop, a mix of emotions and at the same time such beauty that it cannot take your eyes off. Have you ever been there? Practical advice: access is allowed in the summer months from Sunday to Thursday from 7.30 to 11 and from 13.30 to 14.30. During the winter months: from 7.30 to 10.30 and from 12.30 to 13.30.
