One of the most sacred places in the world 🕌 - Dome of the Rock, Jerusalem. You tiptoe into one of the most sacred places in the world. This is where the great monotheistic religions believe the world originated. A place almost inaccessible to tourists. And so in an early December sunrise we woke up as soon as possible to be able to visit this incredible wonder. A mosque (the oldest in the world) built on the remains of the Temple of Solomon, the most sacred place of the Jewish religion (the Wailing Wall is all that remains). Jerusalem is layers and layers of stories and this is the perfect example. Entering such a place is really intense. The Dome of the Rock stands out in the Jerusalem skyline with its 30kg of authentic gold covering it. An unmissable stop, a mix of emotions and at the same time such beauty that it cannot take your eyes off. Have you ever been there? Practical advice: access is allowed in the summer months from Sunday to Thursday from 7.30 to 11 and from 13.30 to 14.30. During the winter months: from 7.30 to 10.30 and from 12.30 to 13.30. Recommended women's clothing: legs and arms well covered. No bare feet. #awesomepic #historicallandmarks #jerusalem #travelinspiration

One of the most iconic images of the Middle East is undoubtedly the Dome of the Rock shimmering in the setting sun of Jerusalem. Sitting atop the Haram al-Sharif, the highest point in old Jerusalem, the Dome of the Rock’s golden-color Dome and Turkish Faience tiles dominates the cityscape of Old Jerusalem and in the 7th century served as a testament to the power of the new faith of Islam. The Dome of the Rock is one of the earliest surviving buildings from the Islamic world. This remarkable building is not a mosque, as is commonly assumed and scholars still debate its original function and meaning. Undoubtedly the experienced here is so powerful and can’t be measured as you feel the good energies after you left this place. In my own opinion this is really a must visit place when you’re in Israel. #scenicspotguide#unforgettableexperiences#nyedestinations#instagramworthydestinations#holidayvacation#tripinspired#happynewyear
