Clean room, comfortable bed, good bathroom. Kitchen particularly appreciated in times of COVID19 / curfew when all restaurant are closed past 6pm. This is the accommodation we were looking for... BUT... We arrived at Zenitude Carcassone past 5.00pm (before the 6.00pm COVID related curfew). The reception was closed and as far as I am aware, it is impossible to contact hotel staff past 5.00pm. We had received an email earlier in the afternoon with the different codes required to open a) the hotel gate, b) the hotel main door, c) the safe in which our key was hidden... All good so far. We checked ourselves in and reached our room, which was was pretty much as described on the Booking.com site with one BIG flaw though. Its window could NOT be open - which we found quite unacceptable in time of COVID19 given all COVID19 safety recommendations. With no one to call and curfew time approaching, we had no choice but ”hold our breath” and hope for the best for the next 7 days! We asked to change room on the second day and checked it out prior to confirming our stay. We tried to stay away from the staff considering the wearing of mask as an option. :-( Quite a disappointment given the current sanitary environment.

Hotel facilities are OK, that is, the gym is leaking, recently deactivated, the swimming pool and sauna are open normally, the original family room has no middle floor, left the bottom floor, Trip.com customer service helped coordinate, the hotel upgraded the room type for free; The hotel is very close to the city castle, about 10 minutes walk

Carcassone is a beautiful location with lots to explore. The Adonis Carcassone was right beside the medieval cite and there were many wonderful places to eat nearby. The hotel is also just over the bridge from Centre Ville where there was a wonderful Christmas carnival. The hotel was perfect for us, as we were staying for a week and it consisted of a bedroom, kitchen/ sitting room and a toilet and bathroom. We could come and go as we pleased throughout the day. The receptionist was particularly friendly and helpful. The only thing missing was a kettle from the room, but everything else was there.

A parking facilities included in the price, closed, without ceiling, next to the rooms, access is made with codes that are sent you for whatsap minutes before the time of entry, all the very controlled covid protocol, cleaning, have small kitchen, fridge, very modern bathroom, small terrace at the door, ideal orara one night or two and meet Carcasone

There are 2 keys in there, one for the main entrance and the other for the apartment. I will email you the code 2 days before you arrive!Bastide Saint Louis is a very unique neighborhood with lots of coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants close by. There is a great bakery Papineau on Rue Verdun, just a block away. It's one of my favorite places for croissants and sweets in the morning.Also Le Petite Moka has great coffee at Place Carnot, little grocery shop Jean_luc & Florence Carayon on Rue Verdun has fresh produces dry food just a block away, great restaurant Le Bistrot De Tantine at Place Carnot.It is easy to get around by foot, but if you have a car you can find parking around the neighborhood or at Square Gambetta for 1 Euro/ hour, 7 Euros /day.There is a bus stop around the train station and it is about 10 minutes by foot. Pay parking is a couple of blocks away at Square Gambetta. You also can find parking around the apartment as well!Tourism fee5 % of Rental
