At first, the humidity of the room is relatively high, and have an air-con water dropping issue. Being told that this issue is normally in Japan since it is a raining season, but the staff assist to offer another room. The second offer room air-con is in trouble, which is not cool even turned to 16 degree. At last, we were upgraded to the slightly larger room with three beds (the third bed is still a sofa bed). The room is so clean, two beds are in double bed, the tv could used for Netflix and YouTube. I would say the organise of the staff is in a satisfy level. The shower supplies are in Kose, the water pressure is relatively good among four hotels I’ve been stayed in Japan for this trip. But there are only 8 car parking in this hotels, with the first in first serve policy. So, we couldn’t managed to have a car parking although I’ve been told in the comment box by trip.com. However, they have some collaborated car parking suppliers nearby with a discount coupons. It’s not really convenient for you if you just stay for one night. But for me, it’s more than acceptable.

A very nice, modern hotel in the heart of the Kumamoto shopping district - very convenient location, right at the cross section of the two major covered shopping thoroughfares. Check-in only at 3pm and is an automated check-in/check-out system. Staff are very helpful and friendly. At check-in, you are free to choose your amenities from a very wide selection, including bath salts, face cleanser, moisturizer, coffee, green tea, etc. There is a giant tv in the room. No bottled water is provided. The room offers a full robe (short yukata and pants!). The rooms itself are very modern and renovated. There are two Family Marts and a 7-11 within a block of the hotel, as well as many dining and retail options within short walking distance. It is about a 15 minute walk to Kumamoto Castle and a 30 minute walk to Kumamoto Station.

We took Highway Bus (2.5hr) from Fukuoka Airport to Kumamoto Sakuramachi Bus Terminal. Koko Hotel is directly connected to the bus terminal. Hotel was opened in June 2022 and there were now clear signages to Koko Hotel as we alighted from the bus. We took escalator to the 2F and take the lift to the 14F where the Hotel lobby is. From the lobby, we get a clear view of Kumamoto Castle. Our Superior Twin Room is very spacious and comfortable. We paid Y32,310 for 2 nights. It is 10 mins walk to the Castle, and 10 mins taxi ride to Kumamoto Station. Amu Plaza next to Kumamoto Station has plenty of eateries. Sakuramachi has Family Mart, restaurants and shops.

Near the historic site but not so near to the JR station. It was a rainy day so we had some trouble moving our luggage to the JR station. The hotel itself is good. Rooms are not big but its good enough. Onsen was very crowded after dinner but there were lovely treats prepared for us.

This hotel is located within a short walking distance from the Kumamoto station. From the JR bstation exit it is on the left, just beside the Bic Camera store next. There is also a streetcar/tram stop so near the hotel which you can use to explore the city touristy spots! Shopping is convenient as the Kumamoto AMU Plaza (see another Review) is 5-mins walk away. The lobby is quite spacious and I quite like the intimate setting and lighting. Check-in was fast and 3 lifts serve well with travellers + luggages. The room design is quite standard and we have requested for x2 single bed, the room size is respectable. Noted that they're still using the physical hard key and not the keycard type. Hottel provided some amenities and complimentary bottled water in the room, sufficient for us . The Hotel is very into Going Green, there will be no housekeeping within first 3-days unless requested upon. This may likely be the model moving forward, to cut wastages. We had our breakfast at the nearby Pronto. The Kitaoka Shrine is just about 400 metres nearby, opposite direction of JR station so we recommend to drop by if time permits. A good stay experience. J

Absence de parking dans l’hôtel . Les parkings situés en face sont hors de prix, mais la réception a des accords avec un partenaire situé un peu plus loin pour 1200 yens les 24 heures. A négocier avant séjour ou sur place. Je remercie les 2 personnes qui ont essayé de résoudre une demande de réservation de ferry, que je ne pouvais effectuer seul sur deux websites complètement en japonais.

My wife and I stayed at the Nikko Kumamoto from 1/5/2023- 3/5/2023 on our second leg of the kyushu trip after a disastrous stay at Nikko Huis Ten Bosch( that I posted on another review). The hospitality was a complete turnaround . We arrived by taxi from the kumamoto station and upon arrival at rhe entrance, there was.a guest officer to help us unload and wheel in our luggage to the check in lobby. Throughout our stay whenever we stepped into or walked by the guests officers, they would greet us and acknowledge us. Despite the language barrier, I was especially touched by the sincere efforts of one of your male guests officer who wore glasses. I had intially wanted to visit Mount Aso but did not know how to go there using public bus. So one one evening I walked to the guest relations desk and stated my intentions and request for more info. I could tell the officer had difficulty trying to communicate in English but he was trying very hard to get the information across. Throughout our stay were given maps and shown by pen and drawings whenever we had questions to a location ie ramen restaurant while waiting for check in, where to shop for sneakers etc I really appreciated the hospitality and guidance despite the language barrier. We hope to be back in future and keep up the good work! I hope the nikko mgmt team can transfer this consistency to your other chains ie( nikko huis ten bosch which clearly lacks such direction ). I really hope when ever I'm in japan I can go back to a nikko

The front desk was on the second floor. The first floor is 7-Eleven. The number of multi-storey car parks attached to the hotel was small, and when it was full, the affiliated parking lot was very far away. One blue sky parking lot was vacant, but it didn't stop me. There was a parking lot other than the affiliation nearby. It is good that the bathroom has a bathtub and a washroom. The room is not large. There are many times when the front desk is congested. There was a 7-Eleven on the first floor and it was convenient. The bar area is close, so it is convenient to walk when eating out.

The Western-style room had a good view with a golf course and a plateau overlooking the magnificent Mt. Aso Outer Ring. The room was comfortable with a sofa, chairs and tables and two semi-double beds. Actually, it was a large bath in a golf resort, so I didn't expect much bath. However, the hot springs were hanging from the source, and both the indoor bath and the four open-air baths (including the barrel bath 2) were all hanging from the source, and it was a good hot spring with a little brown hot spring. I checked out at 11 o'clock, but I was a little disappointed that the bath was until 9 am. The meal was a Japanese and Western appetizer, a cooking and a hot bowl at the restaurant. In the second half, the dinner was good with soft Kumamoto beef and seafood grilled on a ceramic plate, high-vegetable rice and miso soup, and delicious desserts. After checking out, if you are trying to take a picture with Kumamon in the lobby, the staff will carry a large Kumamon to the outside by cart, saying that you should take a picture in a good place with a good view of Mt. Outer Ring in Aso. It was done. Thanks to you, I was able to take a nice family photo with Aso no Yama 々 and Kumamon. I was very happy with the kind consideration.

We stayed for one night from July 9 (Sat) and stayed with a couple in the Japanese style room ”Nikwa” on the third floor. The purpose of this time was to touch the nature of ASO and to feel the liberation and to soak in a hot spring with good quality of springs. The room was more modern and sophisticated than I thought and more than expected. It was a room that was renewed last year. What I was worried about was that the closet was an old Japanese house, and it smelled mold without lighting, and the mattress on the bed was a little too hard, and the view was not good even on the third floor. The service was made to be a woman from Nepal, but there were several points that I was worried about, such as vertically distributing rectangular dishes of incense. I think this is a problem of staff training. Overall, it is a very old established inn with a very historical style, and it is well understood that it is carefully maintained, and it is thought that it is a hot spring inn with a taste. I felt that the charm of this inn was exhausted by the word ”good quality hot spring”.

Stayed here for 1 night, I personally really love dinner and breakfast buffet, variety of choices especially local beef and sashimi. Hotel also provides private Onzen for proviate use and gaming room. but its location is quite far from Train station, it is more convenient by driving a car and park at hotel. Room price is reasonable and the room is also clean and tidy. I definitely will stay here again if I visit Aso next time.

The homestay is in a literary hall. A large complex. The room is two suites. They have bathrooms and baths. The room also has indoor and outdoor pools. The room is very comfortable. The store provides extra breakfast and dinner. Dinner is a rich Chinese food. It is a rare worker to eat Chinese food. The staff are very enthusiastic and most of the staff can speak Chinese. If you want to ask in advance, you can call and contact the staff in advance to communicate with WeChat. We played a ball in Asu. On the way to Aso Mountain by self-driving yesterday, there was a traffic accident in the barren mountains and wild mountains. Everyone was fine, but the car could no longer move. The car rental company arranged for a tow truck. I originally wanted to cancel the booked hotel, but the hotel actually said to pick us up🥹. As a result, the hotel took 1.5 hours to come and another 1.5 hours to go back. Originally one meal and two meals, they actually left dinner for us, very touched. I booked at a 2 meal plan for 1 night. I will describe the good points and the points I noticed. ■ good points The rice served at the cherry blossom dinner was the best and delicious. I think the variety was ”akishiki”. The variety of side dishes was also abundant and quite satisfied. The rice at breakfast was another variety. The family bath was available for free 24 hours. The view from the open-air bath was good and the hot spring was comfortable. The hot water is relatively hot. I was very grateful for smokers because there was a room that could smoke. Water was hot. Beutiful environment and great atmosphere. Changing room was clean and spacious. The smaller outdoor onsen is for public. Room was a bit old and simple, but it came with a cute balcony which I didn't expect. Food was great. Dinner was served in room, and breakfast was served in breakfast room. Overall a great ryokan experience.

A quiet remote inn in Okukurokawa. There are only 8 rooms in the vast land. Because each room has a bath, I don't meet people in the large open-air bath, and I rarely meet people in the hotel. The room is a calm Japanese-style room. The floor I stayed on was on the 2nd floor, but when I opened a door, I went down the stairs to the 1st floor from here and went to the indoor bath. If guests stay at this inn, they need to match a considerable part of the inn side. I think there is no way to be a lower price range inn, but if you ask for this price, you should provide such services according to the needs of more guests. If you maintain the price now, I think you should increase the number of employees and make a fine service or lower the price if you are a service now. I was worried about the following points. • I arrived 30 minutes before check-in. At that time, check-in was from 15 o'clock, so I was told that I was not given an option and was driven out. I knew later, but there were only three guests on that day, and the cleaning staff said that they were finished until the final inspection of the room by 12 o'clock every day. Nature has no souvenir shops, games, karaoke, etc., so the hall is quiet and nice. If you go to Hizenya on foot (there was also a shuttle bus), you can enjoy bowling and a large communal bath.
