Very nice I would like to come here again and spend a bit more time. I did two nights and three days but maybe next time I would like to stay 3 to 4 nights to explore the city because I was only staying in the hotel. They have a nice hot spring. I had a problem for my skin but going to a hot spring few times my skin become better and the service was excellent. The staff are very nice and polite. Also professional Food was good. I really love the experience what I had here. I recommend other people as well especially who have a children small or family. You can use this hotel.

This is not a hotel, is a 3 level Villa with a rooftop overlooking the Mount Fuji. The place is very remote not advisable for someone do not have a transport. The villa is huge and there are 4 beds. 2 at level 1 and level 2. Rooftop is open air and can do BBQ though need to pay a rental of 50000yen per person. The bathroom is very clean and nice and overlooking at Mt. Fuji. After all , is suitable for a big family stay, and the place is not cheap. I book it for the experience and the appealing factor of able to overlook the Mt. Fuji.

We spent our anniversary with my girlfriend in Kaneyamaen, and our experience was above and beyond. Starting with the shuttle option provided by the hotel from Mishima station, which also took us to Oshino hakkai, what a gorgeous place, before ending up at the hotel. We were really satisfied of our driver who shared facts about Yamanashi prefecture and Fuji. Our check-in process was also a really nice experience. From the moment we arrived we felt the hospitality of the hotel service crew. They escorted us to our room and helped with our luggage. Staying at a Sanri-Comfort Western Room, we had access to 2 lounges, where in one of them we had access to many kind of amazing wine from Yamanashi, among other tasty snacks. We choose our yukata and headed for matcha tasting. This is located in another part of the building which also gives us a peak at the wonderful garden. The matcha and snack we received helped us settle in with the calm garden view. Then came dinner. My god, the dinner was above and beyond. Neither of us had an 8 course dinner before with such a perfect service and absolutely amazing food. Hats of to the restaurant and service crew. Truly impressed. We decided to walk of the calories in the hotels beautiful garden at night. The illumination creates a really romantic experience. After this, we attended the Taiko drum show, which is organized by the hotel crew. First time for me and I can say it definitely made our experience even more special. Fantastic work. Then the star of the show. The open-air bath on the balcony. The sight of Mt. Fuji early morning from the bath, was a magical experience which we'll never forget. The buffet breakfast provides a great selection of food and drinks, rest assured we left very pleased. All in all, this was an extraordinary stay for us. Nothing but max points. Wish we'll have the chance to visit again.

Great hotel with the best Mount Fuji view! Though small things could be improved. Like having coffee in the room, having the balcony glass cleaned to have a clear view of the mountain and maybe insulating more the windows/doors - as it was very easy to hear everything going around the hotel or the people in the street and our room was 4th floor, we could still hear people at night. The food was great quality, however buffet style always drags down a bit of the experience, especially when it wasn’t a low/mid budget hotel. But that’s just an opinion. But overall, grateful to have had experienced mount Fuji from this hotel. ☺️🗻

It was a perfect stay at Bessho Sasa my family and I really appreciated the superb service the staff provided my family (I travelled with my 88-year old mum so we had quite a lot of needs) with. I had left some items in the room and they promptly had it couriered to me in Tokyo. The dinners each night were very well prepared, each day was fun-filled with so many activities. The Taiko show was done so professionally I was surprised that the drummers were all staff of the resort!! I would love to re-visit the resort again some day.

One thing that’s best - Mount Fuji view when the weather is good. It seemed like just right in front of you. No matter from the room or the 4th floor restaurant where we had our breakfast or even the open rooftop. Rooms was clean, top class in-room amenities provided, very good buffet breakfast with scenic view overlooking Mount Fuji and staffs were friendly and helpful. We got free parking in front of the hotel throughout our 2 nights stay. There were so much you could do while staying at this hotel. Whether you want to enjoy the beautiful Mount Fuji with coffee brew in your room, or get discounted price + early entry to the amusement park right beside the hotel, or enjoy the onsen hot pool next to the hotel. They even send us to the top of Fujiyama Tower complimentary and there you’ll have a stunning view of Mount Fuji and the amusement park, plus you’re able greet to the riders of the king of coaster when it pass by. Highly recommended!

Probably one of the most kids friendly hotels I’ve ever been to. The entire basement is full of kids activities and the highlight is the massive wooden playhouse. Third floor has multiple game rooms (train room, music room, wooden ball runs) and a big japanese style tatami communal lounge with boardgames, free flow drinks and snacks at certain timing. There are even rental of potty seats, high chairs etc FOC. However, we went late March and the surrounding areas are mostly closed. We almost couldn’t find a restaurant to eat past 8pm. Makiba park and Moegi village were closed too. I’d suggest going at the non-peak period for more activities outside of the hotel, make your 4-hr drive from Tokyo worthwhile! The rooms are old Japanese style, slightly dated but spacious and clean. Hot spring is more like a big bathhouse. Staff are friendly and helpful. Keep it up!

Avoid at all costs! It's infested with bugs, and the service is terrible if you're not Japanese or white. When I arrived, I was given a room on the 3rd floor with a balcony facing a rooftop and AC vents. I asked for a higher floor, and the front desk pretended not to understand, then switched me to a room on the second floor, first row. That evening, I thought the view was unobstructed and great, and I wondered why this room wasn't fully booked when I moved. The bathroom was on the balcony, and when I went to shower, I found it swarming with thousands of bugs (no wonder the lower floors were empty). I had no choice but to use the public onsen. I hoped it might be better the next day, but in the morning, the balcony was still covered in bugs, and the outdoor bath was also full of them. It was completely unusable, which was a shame given the view. The service was exceptionally poor for Japan. The old man who brought the towels knocked three times within 30 seconds of arriving and had a sour face when I opened the door. In the morning, he completely ignored us downstairs but bowed and enthusiastically greeted white guests with a 'Good morning.'

Fuji Lake Hotel

This is an excellent hotel with a superb location right by the lake, and in the other direction, you can enjoy distant views of Mount Fuji. The lakeside has a beautiful and tranquil garden. The service is top-notch; as soon as we arrived, the staff took our luggage, and it was already in our room when we got there, with the hot spring bath already filled. Across from the hotel, there are restaurants and bike rental shops. We rented Panasonic electric-assist bicycles, which were fantastic – effortless pedaling made them super fast, and 3 hours was just enough to cycle the entire large loop around the lake. The hotel's dinner buffet was absolutely incredible; the various fish were delicious, the wagyu beef was fragrant, and the green melon was incredibly sweet. There were so many options, we couldn't try them all! The restaurant also boasts a stunning view. For the first two days, it was cloudy with light rain, so we thought we wouldn't see Mount Fuji. To our surprise, on the day we left, we woke up to a magnificent view of Mount Fuji right outside our window – a perfect end to our trip! There are also jewelry museums, toy museums, and art museums to explore. The area around Lake Kawaguchiko is exceptionally beautiful and definitely worth another visit!

I really loved it here and would definitely come back if I get the chance. It's incredibly quiet, almost as if there are only 11 rooms in the whole hotel. Breakfast is included in the room rate, and each room is assigned a private breakfast room. The staff are super warm and patient. Plus, there's free alcohol and Starbucks coffee in the hotel lounge area. Just a heads-up, many hotels in Japan charge per person. I thought my 5-year-old wouldn't incur a charge, but we ended up paying a small extra fee. Honestly, I found it acceptable since we still got to enjoy the services. So, remember to specify the exact number of guests when booking your hotel. The private onsen was an absolute treat! If your child finds it too hot, they can always use the bathtub instead~
