Guest UserIt was excellent. I would like to go back again and stay more longer. We did as a family two nights in three days. We had a breakfast and evening dinner, the hot spring was very good. It makes my skin very nice. I had an allergy, but my allergy is healed because of the hot spring.

高山流水熊猫也We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The property is very new, modern, and exceptionally well maintained. The room was equipped with everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen that made our stay very convenient.
One of the highlights was the spacious bathroom with a fantastic soaking tub, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. We were also pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful complimentary gifts — fireworks, soft drinks, and even a beautiful Mount Fuji-themed cake waiting for us in the room. These small touches made our stay feel extra special.
The only downside is that the hotel is about a 13-minute walk from the nearest station, which may be a little inconvenient if you are carrying luggage. However, the excellent facilities, comfort, and hospitality more than make up for it.
We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We spent our anniversary with my girlfriend in Kaneyamaen, and our experience was above and beyond. Starting with the shuttle option provided by the hotel from Mishima station, which also took us to Oshino hakkai, what a gorgeous place, before ending up at the hotel. We were really satisfied of our driver who shared facts about Yamanashi prefecture and Fuji.
Our check-in process was also a really nice experience. From the moment we arrived we felt the hospitality of the hotel service crew. They escorted us to our room and helped with our luggage. Staying at a Sanri-Comfort Western Room, we had access to 2 lounges, where in one of them we had access to many kind of amazing wine from Yamanashi, among other tasty snacks. We choose our yukata and headed for matcha tasting. This is located in another part of the building which also gives us a peak at the wonderful garden. The matcha and snack we received helped us settle in with the calm garden view. Then came dinner. My god, the dinner was above and beyond. Neither of us had an 8 course dinner before with such a perfect service and absolutely amazing food. Hats of to the restaurant and service crew. Truly impressed.
We decided to walk of the calories in the hotels beautiful garden at night. The illumination creates a really romantic experience.
After this, we attended the Taiko drum show, which is organized by the hotel crew. First time for me and I can say it definitely made our experience even more special. Fantastic work.
Then the star of the show. The open-air bath on the balcony. The sight of Mt. Fuji early morning from the bath, was a magical experience which we'll never forget.
The buffet breakfast provides a great selection of food and drinks, rest assured we left very pleased.
All in all, this was an extraordinary stay for us. Nothing but max points. Wish we'll have the chance to visit again.

YilupinganyouThe room was quite spacious, but it definitely felt a bit dated. The service and dining were just average; there's definitely room for improvement in both those areas! The views of Mount Fuji were beautiful, and we were lucky enough to see it two mornings in a row during the summer. That's about it.

RG202348This 40-year-old hotel is incredibly well-maintained and has a charming, cozy, vintage vibe. We opted for a Mount Fuji view room, and if the weather cooperates, you get stunning views of Fuji-san. Hotel guests also have access to the nearby hot spring baths, about a five-minute walk away, though a heads-up: those with tattoos are not permitted. The breakfast spread is fantastic, offering a wide variety of both Japanese and Western options. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the entrance of Fuji-Q Highland amusement park, and there's a fantastic Italian restaurant downstairs. The food there is absolutely delicious – I went three times during my two-day stay! Highly recommend it.

Romain DannaWe had a wonderful stay at Grand Mercure Yatsugatake as a family traveling with a baby. The hotel is surrounded by nature, with beautiful views of the mountains, which immediately creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere — perfect for families who want to slow down and breathe.
The hotel is very family-friendly. Traveling with a baby can be stressful, but the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. Everyone was kind, patient, and attentive, which really made a difference for us as parents.
The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, with enough space to comfortably stay with a baby. We especially appreciated the peaceful environment at night, which allowed our baby (and us!) to rest well.
The facilities were also well suited for families. The common areas are easy to navigate with a stroller, and the overall layout of the hotel feels relaxed and not overwhelming. The natural surroundings add a special charm and make the stay feel refreshing and rejuvenating.
Overall, Grand Mercure Yatsugatake is an excellent choice for families with babies who are looking for comfort, tranquility, and good service in a beautiful natural setting. We would definitely consider coming back and recommend it to other families traveling with young children.

Guest UserAvoid at all costs! It's infested with bugs, and the service is terrible if you're not Japanese or white. When I arrived, I was given a room on the 3rd floor with a balcony facing a rooftop and AC vents. I asked for a higher floor, and the front desk pretended not to understand, then switched me to a room on the second floor, first row. That evening, I thought the view was unobstructed and great, and I wondered why this room wasn't fully booked when I moved. The bathroom was on the balcony, and when I went to shower, I found it swarming with thousands of bugs (no wonder the lower floors were empty). I had no choice but to use the public onsen. I hoped it might be better the next day, but in the morning, the balcony was still covered in bugs, and the outdoor bath was also full of them. It was completely unusable, which was a shame given the view. The service was exceptionally poor for Japan. The old man who brought the towels knocked three times within 30 seconds of arriving and had a sour face when I opened the door. In the morning, he completely ignored us downstairs but bowed and enthusiastically greeted white guests with a 'Good morning.'

Anonymous UserFuji Lake Hotel is situated right on the shores of Lake Kawaguchiko. On one side, you're treated to the magnificent silhouette of Mount Fuji, and on the other, breathtaking lake views. In the early morning, the lake is often shrouded in a light mist, with the mountain's outline subtly emerging. Evenings bring stunning sunsets, casting a golden glow over the water, creating a tranquility that truly takes your breath away. The hotel's courtyard is a picturesque scene with vibrant maple leaves contrasting beautifully with the evergreen pines.
What truly made an impression, however, was every single staff member. From the polite greetings of the doorman, who also ensured our luggage was in our room before we arrived, to the front desk staff who patiently and thoroughly explained the hotel's operating hours (a special thank you to Mr. Oishi for his enthusiastic introduction to the hotel facilities). When we returned to the hotel on a rainy day, we were offered towels, and there was hot tea available in the lobby. The restaurant staff were very professional. During our four-night stay, our room was consistently spotless every time we returned (many thanks to the housekeeping team). Upon check-out, staff saw us off at the door, waving goodbye. Every detail was handled with such care, making us feel genuinely welcome. Fuji Lake Hotel didn't just leave us with memories of Mount Fuji's reflection; it left us with the gentlest encounters of our journey.

Pim_naraThe room is nice. But It used to be more impressive when we stayed at this ryokan 5-6 years ago. Somehow we felt like their service dropped significantly. Everything are more strict for example daily cleaning time is 11.00 -11.30 only and cannot be postpone. Check out time is 11.00 and then we decide to chill a bit at the lobby before leaving ( around 11.20 ) they politely asked us to leave by telling us that they will clean the lobby. Which I think is there right to do so but it really feels uptight - not relax at all - and not as impressive like the other ryokans we stayed.
