Waitakere Resort & Spa

The views from this hotel are stunning, even though it was raining and misty! The staff are very nice, jolly and helpful. Unfortunately the whole place was rather shabby and tired. Despite this our room was comfortable and spacious although being next to the bar and restaurant it was a little noisy. The food in the restaurant has a Spanish influence but it really just wasn't that great, which is a shame because there's nowhere else to go. A shame because it's a fabulous location and could have been a memorable stay.
Albany Rosedale Motel

Well appointed room with kitchen utensils and crockery. The bed was comfortable, room has air conditioning and a great pressure shower. The staff were friendly and helpful. The motel has a pool, spa and sauna although be aware these aren't open on Mondays. The motel rooms are very quiet and away from the busy pace of central Albany. Great location with close proximity to Albany and the motorway

Originally through work I was booked a studio room - when I checked in the lady at the front desk was lovely. When I entered my room it smelled strongly of cleaner but unfortunately the bathroom/shower area was still disappointing. There was a lot of mould and grime in the shower area and the grout of the tiles. I couldn't have showered there. When I went back to the front desk to explain, and enquire about another room, I was kindly upgraded to one of the apartments beside the Burger King and had a much more pleasing stay. The apartment was new, sleek, super clean and had beautiful finishings. I would definitely stay in the apartments again. It was near to lots of different eateries, conveniently close to the motorway and a great location.
Heritage Auckland, A Heritage Hotel

Heritage Hotel is really a grand old dame. Her floor boards creak and often I was woken up by the guests above me. The kitchen sink leaked and flooded the dining area. TV signal got knocked out by blustery winds. Internet reception in the room is rather poor. In public areas no issue. But in the rooms, bad! However, service is great. Issues reported were attended to quickly.

The hotel is in a good location, with Subway, Chinese restaurants nearby, and a 15-minute walk from a large supermarket and a Chinese supermarket The sanitation of the hotel is very good and the service is also very good. There is now a construction site next to the hotel, but fortunately, construction is only around 9 in the morning. The hotel has triple rooms, and you can also choose standard rooms with extra beds.
