The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, equipped with a mini-bar and a kettle. Breakfast was excellent, featuring a make-your-own waffle station. There's also a small gym available. A large overnight parking lot is conveniently located just a short distance from the hotel, which is great if you're driving. Just one block north, you'll find a variety of restaurants, and the famous Roman Baths are only a few more steps away. However, the front desk staff spoke extremely fast, seemingly oblivious to the fact that we were foreigners and struggled to understand. They just rattled on. This really highlighted a lack of consideration and customer service on their part!

This hotel is in an excellent location, right next to the thermal baths, and it is very easy to get around from here. I particularly liked the layout of the building — having a café and bar with drinks and small desserts on the ground floor is extremely convenient and creates a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. The room was very clean. While it is fairly compact, it is well designed and fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. It was ideal for travelling alone. I would also like to commend the receptionist who assisted me during my stay. He was clearly enthusiastic about his work, attentive, and considerate, and took genuine care to ensure guests were comfortable. Unfortunately, I did not catch his name, but his professionalism made a very positive impression.

The room was a delightful surprise – vibrant, stylish, clean, and comfortable. The hotel's location is super convenient for both the train station and local attractions. Inside the room, there were complimentary drinks, coffee, and tea. What was especially unexpected and helpful was finding an iron, which was perfect for smoothing out my wrinkled dress. Of course, the hotel isn't without its quirks; being an older building, getting to the room felt a bit like navigating a maze of twists and turns, and the soundproofing could be better. However, getting a good night's sleep was ultimately what mattered. Plus, ironing my clothes in the morning with the sunlight streaming through the window was quite a pleasant experience.

Bath Abbey Hotel, a Marriott Tribute Portfolio Property I booked this hotel in Bath through trip.com. I took advantage of two promotions on the platform: a £5.99 railcard purchase and £5 off train tickets, both requiring booking a European hotel within 26 days through trip.com. Considering that the official website’s prices were quite similar, I went with the trip.com booking. I reserved a cozy room for 1 adult without breakfast for £113. Money-saving tip: I used TopCashback to access trip.com, earning $7.67 cashback for this booking. After I checked out, trip.com triggered an immediate discount of £10.46, which I applied to my next train ticket purchase. ❤️ Third-party Marriott members get perks, too! This hotel falls under the Marriott Tribute Portfolio, embracing a boutique hotel approach. The entire establishment dates back to 1739, boasting a historic exterior. It’s conveniently situated just about 3 minutes’ walk from the Roman Baths and across from Sally Lunn’s. With my Marriott Platinum Card, even with a third-party reservation, the hotel upgraded us to a larger ground floor room facing the street after matching our account, but it’s not advisable due to potential noise. They also offered complimentary à la carte breakfast. Breakfast slots had to be reserved during check-in, and we chose a table at 10 AM. The breakfast was abundant, and the restaurant had a charming and lovely atmosphere. The experience was excellent (the best things are free!). Unfortunately, I don’t have space for more photos, but I’ll post one of the restaurant later. The room was quite small, designed in a modern British style, with a movie-themed decor according to the posters on the wall. All the amenities were provided, with local brand toiletries available for purchase at the front desk for £25 for two bottles. They were decent, but nothing extraordinary to consider bringing back home. The minibar had coffee, various teas, semi-skimmed milk packets, and biscuits. The bottled still water was in an aesthetically pleasing canned form. 🌟 There’s an Elemis sleep kit on the bedside: temple balm/sleep mist/eye cream, placed over a hotel postcard, looking quite exquisite. The bed was very comfortable. ❌ However, there were a few drawbacks to this place… a bit unnerving… I’m not sure if I just had bad luck. The hotel corridors were somewhat confusing, and I accidentally opened the wrong room door once using my own room card. Strangely, the next day around ten o’clock, while I was in the bathroom and my son was on the bed, despite securing the latch on our door, someone managed to open it slightly, presumably seeing my son on the bed, and then closed the door. Perhaps it was a housekeeping staff member wanting to clean the room? Regardless, it felt quite odd… a little unsettling, to be honest

Facilities: The room was spacious, and the bathroom had both a bathtub and a shower. The hotel's swimming pool was also very good. Cleanliness: Clean and tidy. Environment: Located in the city center, very close to the Roman Baths, though a bit of a distance from the train station. Service: Excellent.

A must-stay for Bath hotels. It is one of few hotels to have in-house spa facilities for guests to use for free. I liked the location too – it is next to the Roman Baths.

The hotel is good. The living room is OK except for the smell of old house air when entering the room. The furniture is old but it feels good. The breakfast selection is quite rich.

Attended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful. We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest. The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss. One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go. Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109. Very beautiful room in style, size and accessories. The only problem is the stairs to get to the rooms, it is important to know if you are unable or have large suitcases. 20 minute walk from Bath station. 18 minutes by bus and on foot. Overall I recommend it without hesitation.

Amazing
GGuest UserThe waiting area for check-in is very British and beautiful. We booked a classic room, which requires us to walk through the main building, pass the garden, and come to the second floor of a stable. The room is clean and the toilet is relatively large. But the location is a bit disappointing. The high price and high positioning of the hotel make us automatically assume that the view of the room will be particularly good, overlooking the city of Bath. The actual situation is disappointing. Looking out is the street view on the other side, and I dare not open the window. The pure British white old man helps you carry the luggage, making you feel embarrassed not to tip. The restaurant is very delicious, and the cauliflower is especially delicious. In this place, you have to keep communicating and making requests. They can do better.

GGuest User

RRONGBreakfast can choose a traditional English breakfast, very good, if you want to park, the owner has a permit to stop across the road, to add 5 pounds, check out in the morning to find the beauty in the kitchen. Google uses the zip code is not reliable, the postal code is behind the parking lot, 500 meters nearby, cross the road to go down, there is a big sainbury supermarket near the river, through the parking lot is the royal new moon, the location is good.

GGuest UserGreat little apartment with everything we needed for our stay. Very clean and a great comfy king size bed. For an apartment in the centre of Bath it was very quiet yet near all the great bars and restaurants. Great location. Will definitely return for a longer stay here. Cannot fault it.

GGuest UserCentral location helps to overcome the cramped feeling staying in the annexe. The car was parked at the other end of town and drop off was difficult to say the least but it is what it is. I had no reason whatsoever to check out the main building reception, breakfast area perhaps a bar and lounge area too because nothing pointed me there! So generally, it was a room in a loft space built to an ”average” measure. I never like shower cubicles where I tend to bang elbows and worry about breaking something when I drop the soap. Breakfast price was horrendous so no inclination to walk in on the hop to check it out for the 2 nights stayed. I felt detached, cramped and in a bed-sit like accommodation. It is what it is.

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is very good located in the city center but due to several bars nearby, very noisy at night, every night you have to bring earplugs to fall asleep. The noise does not stop until about two or three o'clock.Water for shower in the washroom The pressure is very low, it will be easy to get cold if you take a shower in winter. The washing machine does not have a drying function, so the chance of using it is not high.

The location is good, too close to the train station, less than 5 minutes walk, right on the main street. The landlord guy is very handsome. The room we stayed in was better, with two beds, the room would be a bit smaller, but there was a wash basin in the room, and the bathroom was public, but it was relatively clean. It is close to the main street, but the windows have two floors, and the sound insulation is better, and the curtains are good for shading. Breakfast is included, and the boss can also fry eggs, bacon, and sausages, which is also free. It's very close to the city, and it's very convenient to walk to all the attractions. After all, Bath is not big. In peak season, housing prices are high, except for slightly higher prices.

YYUANThis is an apartment in a great location, next to Bath Pedestrian Street, and the Bath Bath is close by. But do n’t live here if you do n’t have enough English or you are in a hurry. Because the hotel's reception is at another hotel. When I arrived, I called the phone above the door, and the phone gave me a password to open the door. The apartment door was unlocked and the key was on the table. The door of the apartment was indeed locked. They asked me to wait. After waiting for 20 minutes, it was raining outside, and I was in a bad mood with the children. So English is not good, or do n’t book here if you only live one or two days. But the room facilities and equipment are still very complete. It is the second floor where we live, the ground is not flat, the ground of the whole building is very inclined to the side, so the feeling of living is still a bit uncomfortable
