We arrived at the hotel in the summer to a friendly welcome from the helpful and enthusiastic staff but with low expectations for our experience after reading previous reviews on this site. Accessing our room required a steep climb up several floors of stairs, as there was no lift, meaning elderly customers would need to book a room on the ground floor. The room was very clean, comfortable, cosy and more than adequate for our needs, and we all enjoyed a good night's sleep in the comfortable beds. We were very impressed with the standard of the food, which was beautifully cooked by the chef Buddhi, who would have easily qualified to work in a much higher grade restaurant, although there was limited choice for meals and no desserts on the menu, however what was available was thoroughly enjoyable. As we stayed under the half-board, which we found very worthwhile, the quality of the meals we had surpassed our expectations. The front of house staff member, Isuru, was very friendly and knowledgeable, and nothing seemed too much trouble for him; he was always approachable and catered to all our needs. However, we discovered a restaurant menu in our room which was out of date, so don't depend on this for the meals available. Overall, we found our stay very enjoyable, excellent value for money and the staff extremely personable, as well as the wonderful food. If you have realistic expectations and are looking for a comfortable, budget hotel for a family break or business trip, you will not be disappointed. We would definitely recommend. We had a very pleasant stay. Teresa and Neil were very welcoming and made us feel like old friends. Our room had great views of the beach front. The room was light and airy, bathroom spotless and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was superb. We would stay again (and again!)

We just wanted to extend our heartfelt thanks for the wonderful stay at your hotel back in July 24. It's difficult to know where to start, as every aspect of out stay was as lovely as it was memorable. Our room was spotlessly clean, very cosy comfortable. In the mornings the staff that serviced the room would say a friendly hello when we passed them All of the staff were exceptionally friendly, kind and helpful, including the reception staff and manager. We would like to give a special mention to the restaurant staff, Sophie and Alfie in particular. They were so welcoming, kind and helpful. The food was really delicious, nicely presented with generous portions. I have say that the Lasagne was exceptional (really nice having the bechamel sauce on the side too) and my partner had it for lunch and dinner on the same day, so many compliments to the chef! We experienced the whole atmosphere in the restaurant and hotel as very welcoming and homely. The staff were not aware that we visited on what was the weekend of my partner's birthday and our stay just made the whole weekend even more special for both of us. Many thanks to everyone for making our stay so memorable. You have a really kind and professional staff team that know how to make guests feel welcome and well looked-after. It was very much appreciated!
