Hotels Near Wenxian Pavilion in Dali

The homestay is good and the cleanliness is decent, though there were some dirty areas in the shower edges and the toilet had a strong urine smell. Other than this, towels, bed, etc were relatively clean. Service was great and staff were responsive and friendly. One minor annoyance is the requirement of a 200 rmb deposit. And additionally the hotel is closed and locked from the outside after around 10-11pm and before 9am ish, So if you plan on coming later or earlier, be sure to notify the staff beforehand. Location depends on one’s preference of the Dali old city, I personally found the area to be overtouristy and inauthentic. And difficult to find scooters or transit. Traffic is horrible here during the summer season. Though the dali pagoda towers being located so close is a benefit of this location. The wifi was exceptionally slow, roaming data was much faster and connecting more than one device made it unbearable to browse. Other amenities are typical. Laundry service is often busy.

Very satisfied with a stay, the room is the same as the picture, the decoration style is very like, the facilities are beautifully arranged, very clean, stay at ease, the inn is outside the south gate of the ancient city, the night is very quiet, sleep well, want to go to the ancient city to walk for a few minutes, travel is convenient. The lady boss is very enthusiastic and it's a pleasure to chat with her. There is a cute little dog at home, and the children like to play with her. The travel schedule is quite tight. I leave early and come back late. I have to return before I have time to say goodbye properly. You can store your luggage in advance and it's very clean. It's very close to the south gate of Dali Ancient City and you can walk there. There are many gourmet restaurants along the way. The ancient city is very lively at night, very convenient!

The room is very clean and comfortable for a family of three. There is a washing machine and clothesline upstairs. It is not far from the south gate of the ancient city. The hotel itself is fine. Nice, new-ish, not too far from fun things. The breakfast was very nice. But the service was really weird. The staff seemed like they wanted to help but didn’t know how. Simple things became big things. They couldn’t find our reservation and even after we showed them on trip.com and sent them booking numbers it just seemed too hard. They sent our “welcome fruit” on the night before we were leaving (4night stay). It was just a difficult place to get the simplest things. I hope they can look at the way they work and become a better place to stay.

This inn selected by the review is really warmer than home. Their actual store is much better than the picture! First of all, the environment is good and the location is good. It is convenient to go shopping, take a taxi, and go to scenic spots such as Cangshan and Erhai! There is a beautiful courtyard in the hotel!
