Hotels in Cai Village/Longkan Wharf, Dali City

Located in Caicun, the room offers stunning views directly facing Erhai Lake. The ecological corridor is just downstairs, making the location absolutely superb. The front desk lady was incredibly friendly and even helped us dry our clothes. The staff member was very dedicated; he even drove to pick us up after his working hours. Both of them were fantastic and very professional. The breakfast place they recommended nearby served the best rice noodles I've ever had in my life. Downsides: The room facilities were very basic. There were only disposable bath towels, and the projector quality was mediocre. The bathroom was just 'not particularly annoying,' nothing more. The biggest issue was that my room was incredibly small. The merchant's photos, taken with a wide-angle lens, made it look much larger, but in reality, it was just the bed plus a window sill (for the view). This was disappointing. The soundproofing was also very poor (though this is common for guesthouses in these villages, as they are converted from old buildings). If you're just looking for a place to sleep for one night, I'd say it's an option. But if you want a really nice environment, it's better to go to the Erhai side below Longkan Pier, where there are many places with excellent settings.

The B&B owner was incredibly thoughtful. Knowing we needed high-speed internet for a short period in the evening, even if it was less than an hour, they specially came to our room to replace the router with a gigabit one and debugged it on the spot. This level of dedication was truly touching. The location is absolutely superb. The entire property spans over an acre, and you can park conveniently in the backyard. Just outside, there's an ecological corridor, and you can overlook Erhai Lake right from your bed. At night, the environment is incredibly quiet, with only the sound of insects. It's a truly immersive experience of the tranquil time by Erhai Lake. The stay was fantastic.

We stayed in a king-size bed room, which was very clean and well-equipped. The disposable toiletries were plentiful, and there was even a kitchen available for use. Since there were many of us, we were arranged on the first floor, but the view from the window was fantastic – overlooking the fields and Cangshan Mountain. Right outside the entrance was a pond with many small fish, surrounded by comfortable lounge chairs. It was very pleasant to sit there, enjoy the breeze, and chat with friends. There are beautiful wall paintings in the courtyard, perfect for taking photos. The hotel is very close to Chongsheng Temple, about an 8-minute bike ride. Turning left out of the hotel will take you to Dali Ancient City, and there are also electric scooter rentals nearby. Overall, the hotel's location is very convenient for getting around. Calling a ride-hailing service to Cangshan Mountain is also not far. The service was also good; we had a responsive housekeeper, and they even gave us a souvenir when we checked out. Recommended!

Facilities: Very comprehensive! It's a shame I couldn't get a room with a bathtub, though. I really liked the marble design in the bathroom; it felt very luxurious. Hygiene: Very clean, and everything you could need was provided. They even had special detergent for washing underwear, which was a really thoughtful touch – I didn't even need to use the one I brought. Environment: Absolutely fantastic! We had a front-row ocean view, with an unobstructed view of the sunrise. There was a huge balcony, but we didn't really get to use it much as we were out exploring all the time. Next time, I'll definitely slow down and enjoy some coffee on the terrace. Service: The auntie and uncle were incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic. It was my first time in Dali, and I had no idea what to do. They gave us a detailed explanation, and the uncle was incredibly knowledgeable about the local culture and history, knowing which attractions had a long cultural background. If you're unsure how to explore or what kind of unique experiences you're looking for, they can clearly explain it and give great recommendations. Overall, it was superb! I plan to come back every year. If you walk north along the hotel, you'll find all the popular beachfront photo spots.

Staying in the Smart King Room at WeShe No.2 Courtyard was an absolutely amazing experience! All the smart devices in the room were easy to operate, and the room itself was clean and quiet, making for a very comfortable stay. You can also check out the cafe at Courtyard No.1. The atmospheric corners there are perfect for photos, with walls full of singer posters, cute dolls, and traveler messages – definitely Instagram-worthy! Plus, you can pet PiPi, a gentle and cuddly corgi. The fourth-floor terrace offers an incredible view; last night, I was lucky enough to catch a stunning pink-orange sunset with a complete rainbow. Erhai Lake and the rolling mountains were all visible, and the evening breeze was incredibly therapeutic. It's also just a short walk to the beach. The owner provided thoughtful and detailed service. You get to enjoy a smart room, a trendy cafe, a scenic terrace, a cute dog, and even the chance to witness a beautiful sunset – this is definitely my top choice for a long stay in Dali!

Clean and comfortable, quiet, and the pillows were especially cozy. The facilities are comprehensive, and there are even lockers for luggage. On the day of departure, you can check out and store your bags in the lockers before heading out to explore. The room faces Cangshan Mountain directly, so you can enjoy views of Cangshan from the balcony. It's really lovely to sit on the balcony and take in the scenery at your leisure.

The location is superb; it's easy to catch a taxi or a tuk-tuk right outside. The room view is also excellent; you can watch the sunrise from your room, and it's so relaxing to just sit on the balcony in the afternoon, doing nothing. Even my friends, who tease me about being a clean freak, found it very clean. I could tell the cleaning staff used disinfectant when mopping the floors. The butler service was also top-notch, helping deliver blankets and takeaways right to our room door.

As a foreigner, this is my honest review: I've known the guesthouse owner for 5 years, and I always stay here whenever I'm in Dali. The location is great and convenient. Seeing how well she renovated and reopened, I can say it's perfect. Anyone with good taste would choose this guesthouse. It's affordable and clean—I'm a bit of a clean freak, and the hygiene was impeccable. The owner is also very welcoming and helpful, always giving directions if I don't know where to go. I had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. ❤️❤️ The industrial area is also nice; you can sit there, have coffee, chat, and enjoy everything you need. In short, I highly recommend this place. 🙏❤️

This B&B is located in Caicun, on the southern end of the western side of Erhai Lake, just 200 meters from the shore. In about 2 minutes, you can rent a bicycle or a small scooter to cycle around the entire western side of Erhai Lake. The scenery during sunrise and sunset is absolutely stunning – truly a case of 'close to water, far from mountains.' The only minor drawback is that getting a taxi isn't very convenient, but you can ask the owner to arrange a car or book one in advance. The B&B is built and operated by local residents, and its traditional Chinese decor has a unique charm. The interior suites are simply furnished, giving you a real 'home away from home' feeling. The owner provides six-star service, responding to guest requests within a minute – incredibly prompt and attentive, making you feel truly cared for. Overall, it's great value for money and highly recommended.

I'm quite picky about where I stay. Before coming to Dali, I spent days browsing guesthouses and hotels online. I initially just favorited Huasheng. I drove 2500 kilometers from Shandong to Dali, so I really wanted a satisfactory stay. I drove to the hotel to chat with the front desk, look at room types, and check out the actual environment. First, I met three ladies at the front desk who spoke gently and patiently. They showed me several room types, and I was very pleased with all of them. Since I was traveling with my child and parents, I needed two rooms and planned to stay for three days! The staff patiently explained that due to peak season, I might need to switch rooms after the first night, which I accepted. It allowed me to experience different room types, which was a nice bonus. The service from everyone here was so warm and enthusiastic, and the hygiene was excellent – I'm a clean freak myself. The breakfast and afternoon tea were lovely, and the rosella tea was delicious! For the actual environment, please refer to the photos. There are rooms with gardens, and loft-style rooms with two floors. All have great natural light, and the high ceilings make for a comfortable stay. My parents both felt very happy. From many small details, you can feel the dedication of the owner and staff. If you want to know where to go, just ask the concierge at Huasheng Hotel. Everyone, come and experience it with your eyes closed (I'm not a shill, I genuinely love this place).
