Hotels in Main Urban Area of Dali, Dali City

The night view was great. The two ladies at the front desk were incredibly kind and patient. However, the bathroom wasn't very clean; the toilet was a bit dirty, probably because it's not a new hotel. Also, the outdoor table in the view room was dusty. The water was very hot, and the mini-fridge didn't work. Everything else was pretty good.

This was the third hotel on my Yunnan trip, and it offered the best value for money. It was incredibly clean and comfortable. We had a family room with a king-size bed and a sofa bed, and I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the sofa bed was! The breakfast was very generous, and the staff were all super enthusiastic. There was always someone to guide us in and out of the garage, which was a nice touch. Highly recommend!

My cousin, who lives in Dali, booked a room for us. My husband is a photographer, and as soon as we walked in, he was pleasantly surprised by how luxurious it was. He immediately started taking pictures everywhere. It's truly high-end and sophisticated [strong][strong][strong]. The service, hygiene, and environment are all excellent 👍 The bedding and disposable amenities are also very upscale. It's a really high-class, premium hotel. The next day brought another pleasant surprise: a very rich breakfast. My husband was still taking pictures there, saying it's the most luxurious hotel he's ever stayed in... even better than a five-star [strong][strong][strong][strong].

I really love this hotel! It’s located right in the city center. I booked several rooms, and we all received a free upgrade! The hotel is very close to several tourist spots in Dali, and the views are beautiful — I absolutely love it. The moment I walked into the lobby, I could tell the hotel was very clean and beautiful. The staff don’t speak English, but they are very helpful.

Facilities: The room was well-equipped with amenities like a mini-fridge, coffee machine, water heater, safe, bathtub, and shower. Cleanliness: Clean and tidy. Environment: The location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk from Dali Port. The scenery is amazing, with lake-view rooms overlooking Erhai Lake. Service: The front desk staff were very friendly and patient, listened carefully to my questions, and answered quickly.

The location is absolutely fantastic, right in the heart of Xiaguan, next to Taiye International Plaza, Dali's commercial hub. It was super convenient to go out and explore with friends in the evenings. The room decor is overall very 'Insta-worthy'—chic and sophisticated, with smart home controls throughout. Both the aesthetic and quality are definitely on point. If you're in Dali's main urban area and want to avoid the typical, cookie-cutter business hotels, choosing Yizhanxue (A Lamp of Snow) is the way to go.

This hotel is very close to Dali High-Speed Railway Station The location is highly convenient for transportation. It is especially suitable for Muslim travelers, with a halal restaurant located right next to the hotel. Finding halal food is very easy, and the overall stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommended.

It is really important to come to Dali to choose the hotel! This stay experience is superb, you must come to boast! The front desk lady is very enthusiastic, the check-in is super fast, and the goodwill is directly full of the bedding in the room of ～ It's too comfortable! The mattress is moderately soft and the quilt is soft, and you can sleep well when you travel outside. The breakfast is rich in variety, rice noodles, bread, and porridge. The fresh ingredients taste good. It is super satisfying to eat and drink enough to go out to play. The overall price is very high, I will choose this one next time I come to Dali!

First, the pros: The room was spacious and clean, and the disposable toiletries were of decent quality. It's also close to Erhai Lake and Xingsheng Bridge. Breakfast was pretty good too. Now for the cons: I booked a twin room, but it was actually one large bed frame with two separate mattresses, leaving a 20 cm gap in the middle. I didn't notice it at first, and when I tried to walk through the middle to put something on the nightstand, I ended up with a big bruise on my shin. So, older guests should definitely be careful. Also, the TV was a bit small and the remote was difficult to use. On top of that, the soundproofing in the room wasn't great; I could hear people walking around upstairs quite loudly, possibly wearing high heels.

Hot water boils very fast and last very long. Bed is very comfy Cons: Not a foreigner friendly hotel Wifi cannot be linked as the wifi uses wechat verification Hotel desk phone unable to use, need to call reception using local number, which will be international call for foreigners Our wall plug was faulty on both side beds. Toilet is not segregated so can smell and hear everything thats happening in the toilet. We had to buy our own air freshener if not we can smell it from our bed. Likewise the cold wind will come in when showering. The shower floor is mosaic tiles, quite sharp if showering barefooted. The curtains cannot close fully. Will have a gap and light coming in from outside at night. Theres a whooshing sound coming from the corridor due to strong wind. Can be heard throughout the night. The light switches are everywhere. Not consolidated into 1 place. Need to move to 3 different light switch areas to switch off different lights. Design is very not user friendly, doesnt make sense at all infact. Main room light is by the second bed, switch off all light button beside first bed. Laundry area was provided but dryer was not working. Clothes unable to dry in cold weather Does not have a non-smoking level Our toilet has a string of poop stuck at the pipe. No matter how many times we flush we can still see it.
