One suggestion would be to include the hotel's Chinese address on booking platforms, as it could make it easier for Chinese-speaking travelers to use ride-hailing services. Overall, the hotel was very quiet and provided a comfortable and relaxing stay.

The Honglongjing branch in Dali Ancient City is absolutely amazing! 📍 The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Honglongjing Pedestrian Street. Step outside and you're greeted by a gently flowing stream, and you can look up to see the Cangshan mountains. It's just a few minutes' walk to Fuxing Road, the main street, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and dining. 🏡 The ambiance is perfect! The Bai ethnic architectural style blends seamlessly with modern design. The courtyard with its flowing water, flagstone paths, and red lanterns makes every photo Instagram-worthy. At night, when the lights come on, the atmosphere is simply magical, giving off a 'Spirited Away' kind of dreaminess. 💁 The service is incredibly thoughtful! The staff are warm and professional, proactively offering tips on nearby attractions and local delicacies. Their attention to detail really shines through, like providing local snacks and complimentary tea. 🍽️ The overall experience is fantastic! Whether it's the comfortable rooms, the aromatic coffee at the cafe, or the authentic Bai cuisine at the restaurant, everything leaves a lasting impression. It offers excellent value for money. I've been to Dali many times, and each time I try a different guesthouse. This time, the platform recommended ”Yan Chuanshu Inn” based on my preferences, and I was drawn to it at first sight. It's located in the heart of Dali Old Town, in a relatively new area, and it's very quiet. What I absolutely loved was that the guesthouse has three adorable British Shorthair cats! Maikou is a chubby one who loves to lie on the floor and act cute. Tiechui is a Scottish Fold kitten, very clingy, and has the best personality. Gangdan is a British Blue cat, independent and very wary, lively and mischievous – as expected, you can only pet him when he's in a good mood [lol][lol]. Despite that, I still adore them, haha. My stay here was completely therapeutic because of the cats, and also because of the attentive service from the guesthouse owner. The owner has a great demeanor, and the service was impeccable. She helped me with my luggage and, knowing it was our first time exploring Dali, recommended some delicious and reasonably priced food spots in the Old Town [munch][munch]. Furthermore, the room I booked was really spacious, and the bed was huge – a Stressless brand, super comfortable! The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the overall cleanliness was excellent. The cleaning auntie tidied my room daily. The guesthouse courtyard has many flowers and plants, and the rooftop offers beautiful views of Cangshan Mountain ⛰️⛰️. I especially loved going up there in the evening. All in all, the accommodation I chose for this trip was truly wonderful. I think I'll recommend it to my friends next time～[heart][heart]

The room was clean and tidy. It was really cold in Dali during the May Day holiday due to the rain, but luckily the air conditioning had a heating function, which was great! It's very close to the South Gate of Dali Ancient City, about a four-minute walk. The owner was incredibly warm and friendly, helping us carry our luggage both ways. When we left, they even gave us flower cakes!

I first heard about this place on Instagram and thought it was so beautiful. Its incredible structure is just as gorgeous when you see it in person. The staff were very accommodating and attentive. It was so cool because they had a machine that translates different languages depending on what you speak. This was the first time I’d ever seen anything like it and found it very helpful as I don’t speak Mandarin. Breakfast isn’t included but you can purchase their set meals for 37 yuan and have it while looking out at the beautiful courtyard. If you need train station transfer, you can easily ask for it for 80 yuan per way which made my check in and check out process smooth. They also allow you to try on their cultural costumes for free. If you need hair, makeup and photography services than it’s 499 yuan. As a solo traveler, I decided to try it out. They were very nice, however I definitely struggled with the very white makeup since I myself am very tanned. In their defense they did their best with trying to give me something darker and in the makeup room it seemed fine. But with the different lighting outside and the camera flash, when I got my pictures back I basically had a ghost face 😞 The foundation also wasn’t applied to my neck and arms, so it was very apparent. I’ve asked the photographer to help standardize my skin so hopefully that helps whenever it’s done. You receive a total of 9 retouches photos as part of the package. However, if you prefer to do your own makeup or are traveling with others then they can take pictures for you instead. The place is very convenient for finding restaurants and if you’re primary goal is the visit the old town. It’s very close by, so I was able to explore easily and then return to the hotel for breaks when needed. Lastly, you can use their laundry machines and get laundry pellets for free. Ideally this is great. But I will say the drying part is dreadful. The instructions say to do the 2/3 rule. However, even when I followed and put a small batch of clothes in it never dried. I tried once for 1.5 hours, then again for another hour, and still nothing. That was probably the only real part that was frustrating.

I booked both a twin room and a king room with a view, and both were absolutely beautiful. The king room with a view was especially great, with a super large bathtub that was perfect for a relaxing soak. Even though it rained, the room was still very picturesque and made for great photos. My baby also loved playing in the room. I've already recommended this place to my friends – it's truly excellent value for money!

My wife and I specifically chose this hotel within the ancient city for our wedding photoshoot. The view was great, the room layout was well-designed and comfortable. Its location right in the ancient city meant we could easily explore all sorts of local delicacies. It's also very close to Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain. The facilities are brand new, and all the toiletries in the room are individually wrapped, which is very hygienic. From the rooftop terrace, you can catch the sunrise as early as 6 AM, saving you the trip to Longkan Pier. My wife said she'd definitely bring our family to stay here again next time.

I frequently travel to Dali for business, and this hotel has provided me with the best experience so far. The hotel's decor and facilities are brand new, with a simple yet elegant style. It's very clean and hygienic, and the rooms are spacious with large beds. The staff are incredibly friendly and enthusiastic! Right next to the hotel is Sanyue Street, where I can grab some snacks and enjoy them with a beer in the sunken pavilion in the courtyard, all while admiring the surrounding water features – it's really pleasant. This hotel is great, and I'll definitely stay here again on my next business trip to Dali.

The room was bright and airy with an excellent layout. The bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep without any issues. The wet/dry separation in the bathroom was very well done, the toiletries were high quality, and all the essential facilities were available. Everything was meticulously clean, making for a truly comfortable stay. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive. Check-in was efficient and quick, and the staff were patient and thoughtful. Whether I needed directions or tips for local attractions, they provided detailed answers that made me feel very welcome. Getting around and sightseeing was also incredibly convenient. The hotel isn't far from the Old Town or popular spots like Erhai Lake, so you can enjoy a peaceful stay without compromising your travel plans. Choosing this hotel for your Dali trip is an absolute no-brainer. The environment, service, and overall experience are all top-notch. The next time I visit Dali, I'll definitely choose Shanhai Yunjian again. I sincerely recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Dali!

The room was clean with no strange odors, and the bedding was soft, ensuring a good night's sleep. The soundproofing was excellent, facilities were complete, and it was conveniently located.
