Spirited Silky Inn truly made our stay in Dali unforgettable. The hotel's design is beautiful and thoughtfully crafted, creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere. A special thank you to Xiao Hui and Xiao Deng, who took exceptional care of us throughout our stay. The hotel kindly provided vouchers for Hanfu costume experiences. While the complimentary package did not include makeup and photography, these services were available upon request, so I would recommend asking the staff if you're interested. We also want to thank Huan Huan and her team for taking such great care of our family during the photoshoot. The experience was enjoyable, professional, and completely free of any hard selling. As we were leaving for Kunming, Xiao Deng even helped us with our heavy luggage and surprised us with a thoughtful goodie bag filled with local treats from the hotel. Such gestures made us feel genuinely valued as guests. Thank you to the entire team at Spirited Silky Inn for the wonderful hospitality, excellent service, and great value. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dali.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Being on the top floor, I didn't have to worry about drying clothes. The staff were very nice, and the environment was clean and hygienic, absolutely no complaints! ✨ Great value for money. If you're looking for a bonfire party experience during the May Day holiday, this is the place to be.

Initially, I was hesitant about staying inside the ancient city, but then I thought about how convenient it would be for dining and shopping. So, I ultimately chose Honglongjing, which seemed like a fairly large hotel. The room itself was really spacious, and the twin-bed room even came with a bathtub, which was a pleasant surprise. We spent New Year's Eve here, and watching fireworks and the sunrise from the rooftop garden was a truly special experience – it was the most lively New Year's I've ever had. The breakfast was also excellent, with both Chinese and Western options that my child loved. It's quite rare to find such a tranquil spot amidst the bustling ancient city. It would have been even better if the toilet was a smart one. One minor drawback of being in the ancient city is that you have to walk outside to catch a taxi, but thankfully, it wasn't too far. Perhaps because it was Chinese New Year and very busy, one day our room wasn't properly cleaned, and they just hastily replaced some towels and disposables. I would recommend this place to friends next time, and perhaps the experience would be even better during the off-peak season.

I've been to Dali many times, and each time I try a different guesthouse. This time, the platform recommended ”Yan Chuanshu Inn” based on my preferences, and I was drawn to it at first sight. It's located in the heart of Dali Old Town, in a relatively new area, and it's very quiet. What I absolutely loved was that the guesthouse has three adorable British Shorthair cats! Maikou is a chubby one who loves to lie on the floor and act cute. Tiechui is a Scottish Fold kitten, very clingy, and has the best personality. Gangdan is a British Blue cat, independent and very wary, lively and mischievous – as expected, you can only pet him when he's in a good mood [lol][lol]. Despite that, I still adore them, haha. My stay here was completely therapeutic because of the cats, and also because of the attentive service from the guesthouse owner. The owner has a great demeanor, and the service was impeccable. She helped me with my luggage and, knowing it was our first time exploring Dali, recommended some delicious and reasonably priced food spots in the Old Town [munch][munch]. Furthermore, the room I booked was really spacious, and the bed was huge – a Stressless brand, super comfortable! The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the overall cleanliness was excellent. The cleaning auntie tidied my room daily. The guesthouse courtyard has many flowers and plants, and the rooftop offers beautiful views of Cangshan Mountain ⛰️⛰️. I especially loved going up there in the evening. All in all, the accommodation I chose for this trip was truly wonderful. I think I'll recommend it to my friends next time～[heart][heart]

I had an early morning flight from Kuala Lumpur to Kunming, followed by a morning train from Kunming to Dali, so obviously my energy was completely drained. However, the moment I arrived at this hotel on 27 May 2026, the warm welcome from the staff instantly made me feel better. They even allowed me to check in early so I could rest and kindly offered me breakfast too, which I truly appreciated after the long journey. The hotel is super strategically located inside Dali Old Town — very easy to find, surrounded by everything, and honestly super cute! My room was amazing and so comfortable that I had one of the deepest sleeps ever to recover from the exhaustion! Before leaving, I even gifted my Nike Air Force sneakers, which were still in good condition, to one of the hotel staff. Hopefully they fit him well! 😄 Totally recommended this hotel if you’re visiting Dali.

The room was clean and tidy. It was really cold in Dali during the May Day holiday due to the rain, but luckily the air conditioning had a heating function, which was great! It's very close to the South Gate of Dali Ancient City, about a four-minute walk. The owner was incredibly warm and friendly, helping us carry our luggage both ways. When we left, they even gave us flower cakes!

EThis hotel is perfectly located right in front of the Ximen Mosque and very near Foreigner Street. Because it sits right next to the main street, it is incredibly easy to find and seamless for rolling heavy luggage. The staff members are excellent, speak English well, helped us carry our bags, and even gave us a thoughtful gift at checkout! We loved the rooftop with its stunning mountain views, and the complimentary evening treat drinks were a very nice touch. Having a bidet in the bathroom is also a massive bonus point for Muslim travelers. The overall cleanliness was good, but the only downside was the room carpet, which was a bit dirty and turned our feet black when stepping on it, likely from other guests who wore outdoor shoes inside and the carpet collecting dust from the shoes.

When I come to Dali for a vacation, I always struggle with where to stay. After trying many places, I decisively chose the Yuanshanhai Banshan Villa Luxury Hotel. It really feels like my ideal hidden getaway. The hotel is built into the mountain, and the environment is exceptionally quiet. Both the courtyard and the rooms have great views, and you can see Cangshan Mountain just by looking up. The rooms are designed in a villa style, offering spacious and comfortable living without feeling cramped. It's also not far from the ancient city, making travel very convenient. You can explore the ancient city during the day and return to a peaceful rest at night. Overall, it's comfortable and relaxing, perfect for those who want to slow down and enjoy their vacation.

good location, clean and friendly staff. Breakfast - noodles, but deliciously prepared. Good coffee. Don't expect beautiful views through the window. note: we asked to do laundry. the staff offered laundry services, and it was free, thank you for that. unfortunately we received the laundry the next morning, they were just taken out of the dryer and put in a bag. It's impossible to wear because everything is wrinkled. It's a strange feeling, as if grateful, but not really.
