Hotels in Cangshan Scenic Area, Dali City

I found this hotel last minute in the evening. When I went in to ask about parking, a hotel staff member came out to help me find a spot and even assisted with my luggage. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The service was exceptional; when I couldn't find the AC switch around 2 AM, I messaged them and received a prompt reply. When checking out, they even gave small gifts to my children. The service was incredibly thoughtful and comforting. I'll definitely be staying here again.

Heartwarming Service but Disappointing Room Layout & Location 1. Amazing Staff Support: • As foreigners without Chinese phone numbers, we couldn't rent the ”Snoopy” electric cars. The staff went above and beyond, using their own accounts to scan, pay, and even remotely lock/unlock the cars for us throughout the day. They even handled the return process when there were technical issues. • Flexible Service: They were kind enough to serve breakfast at 8:00 AM (30 minutes earlier than scheduled) to accommodate our early plans. ＞＞＞ The staff here are the biggest plus. They were incredibly welcoming, enthusiastic, and supported us throughout our stay in Dali. Whether it was helping with our heavy luggage or providing local recommendations, their hospitality was genuine and much appreciated. 2. Room Layout: Not as Expected We booked a ”2-bedroom suite,” but it was actually two separate rooms with private entrances and no shared indoor area. The second room was extremely small; with two large suitcases open, there was almost no space to move. The photos on the listing were quite misleading regarding this separate layout. 3. Location & Accessibility The homestay is in a quiet, isolated area with no shops or restaurants within walking distance. You have to take a taxi for everything (5–30 mins to major attractions), which adds significant costs to your trip. ===＞ While the people here are wonderful, the high price doesn't quite match the room's convenience and location. Best suited for those who don't mind taking taxis and want a quiet stay.

I highly recommend this guesthouse to everyone! From the moment I walked in, I felt so comfortable. The overall environment is neat and fresh, and the common areas are very well maintained. I was initially worried about there being no elevator, but the owner kindly helped carry my luggage upstairs, and also helped again when I checked out. The guest room's cleanliness and attention to detail were excellent, with all amenities provided and tidy. The owner's service was thoughtful and attentive, and responses were very quick. The room's soundproofing was reliable, so there was no disruptive noise, and the location was easy to find. It offers great value for money. They even gave us a guide and travel tips, helping us avoid common pitfalls. Plus, the electric scooters were free to use, saving us taxi fares. This guesthouse is definitely worth recommending! The room is spacious and bright with a view of Erhai Lake, and right outside is a popular Canger Road photo spot. It's backed by Cangshan Mountain and overlooks Erhai Lake, making it quite convenient to get to the Ancient City and other nearby attractions. The breakfast was also quite varied, and the staff were all very warm and accommodating. I've stayed at Mercure hotels abroad before, but this was my first time in China, and I was pleasantly surprised to find it's part of the HUAZHU Group – felt a bit like home!

Staying at this hotel was definitely the highlight of my trip to Dali. The hotel seamlessly connects to Dali Ancient City, allowing easy access to experience its lively yet rustic charm anytime. Inside, the hotel felt like a hidden paradise, quiet and incredibly comfortable, with every plant vibrant and full of life. The room's facilities were modern and smart; the intelligent climate control system adjusted the temperature precisely, making for a more comfortable sleep. For breakfast, there were various crispy and delicious pancakes, and the afternoon tea's matcha latte was incredibly fragrant. The staff were like thoughtful friends, proactively helping me capture beautiful moments with photos and sharing many local, lesser-known spots, which filled my journey with delightful surprises.

We loved our stay here. This place feels like such a relaxing retreat, it’s so peaceful , especially with the rooms looking into the beautiful courtyard. Loved the plants and the decor of this place. The rooms are big ans comfortable and there’s even a projector! The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us with some travel arrangements we were trying to make. Would recommend this place! Wish I could spend more time here just to relax.

The hotel is spotless and incredibly quiet and comfortable. The service was absolutely outstanding! Every staff member was dedicated and super friendly to guests. My child experienced altitude sickness for the first time in Yunnan, and the hotel immediately provided oxygen and even offered to accompany us to the doctor. The breakfast was delicious, and room service was very efficient. I highly, highly recommend this place. Before we left, they even gave a small gift to my child. Seriously, I can't recommend this quality hotel enough; it's truly trustworthy.

Little Red Book (a popular Chinese social media platform) truly lived up to its reputation – this is a gem of a guesthouse! The location, facilities, cleanliness, environment, and views are all superb! The owner is a young man, and communication was effortless; we got along very well, and he even made tea for us. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious, with excellent facilities. The mahjong machine was particularly impressive. In Dali, it's sunny during the day and rainy at night, so staying in the room, enjoying the fruit provided by the front desk, and playing mahjong was incredibly pleasant. The scenery is also absolutely stunning, with views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake! Highly recommended!

The hotel's architecture is beautiful, and the green spaces are lovely. All the public amenities are excellent. I was pleasantly surprised to get a free room upgrade during check-in. The complimentary welcome fruit was delicious, and staff helped with my luggage up and down the stairs. Both the front desk staff and my personal butler provided exceptional service. The hotel breakfast was tasty and offered a wide variety of choices; you can eat it in the lobby on the first floor or have it delivered to your room. The room itself was very spacious, and the view from the window was fantastic. The hygiene was also quite good, and it was great that there were no hidden extra charges for items like the soda and sparkling water in the mini-fridge – they were all complimentary.
