Seriously recommend this gorgeous hotel in Dali! The location is absolutely perfect; it's quiet and peaceful, yet super convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and dining. The service is incredibly thoughtful – the front desk and housekeeping staff are all very polite and pay great attention to detail, making you feel completely at ease. The overall cleanliness of the hotel is top-notch. Our room was spacious and bright, meticulously cleaned, and well-stocked with toiletries, creating a fresh and comfortable environment. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices, with a good balance of meat and vegetarian options, hot dishes, desserts, and drinks – all tasty and perfect for fueling up before a day of exploring. Our overall stay was fantastic, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Dali.

I booked this place after reading the reviews about the above and beyond service, and the connection that guests were able to make with the owner of the accommodation. When there are hundreds of hotels to choose from, I value getting to know the humans behind a business. Unfortunately during my stay the main owner whom the reviews refer to, was away. The staff that was in place was helpful, but I felt gave me the one simplest solution to any question I had, rather than the best possible solution, or even options, for what I needed help with. I probably had an anomaly of an experience. The room was spacious and fairly clean. There was a bathroom window in the room that had no blinds or curtains, and the courtyard lights would stream into the room past 10pm, which meant that the room was not completely dark. I included a photo - the light is a lot more obvious and pervasive in a dark room. I had to sleep with an eye mask on, which thankfully, I had. I would suggest to the owners to put a curtain or some blinds up in the bathroom window. I would still recommend this hotel for its quiet location and proximity to the ancient city (8-10yuan Didi ride). Hopefully you'll have the lady boss around during your stay.

The location is excellent – quiet yet not remote. It's right by Cang'er Avenue, where many people stop to take photos. A bit further down is Dali University, surrounded by lots of great restaurants, organic and eco-friendly shops, and coffee roasters. The hotel service was superb from the moment we arrived. The staff were attentive and gentle during check-in, helped with our luggage, and even arranged a car to take us to the Ancient City. The front desk also had many personal amenities, which was a thoughtful touch. The succulents in the garden were thriving, and they even had adorable bunnies! We especially loved a large tree in the garden and enjoyed a therapeutic tree-hugging experience. They offer free use of ethnic costumes and shawls, perfect for photos without needing to buy anything, which was very convenient. Afternoon tea in the courtyard was delightful. Sitting in the sun with a gentle breeze, all my worries just melted away. I also took many vibrant, sun-drenched photos. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom fixtures were all Kohler, and the toiletries were comprehensive, including disposable face towels and a very comfortable comb that didn't scratch my scalp. The breakfast offered a mix of Western and Chinese dishes, and the rice noodles were better than those outside. Overall, it was a comfortable and reassuring stay.

The owners (both the husband and wife) were incredibly, incredibly kind. Our flight was delayed and then canceled, so the hostess waited up for us until late at night, which honestly made me feel bad. The next day, the owner even helped me and my friend carry our luggage. When we checked out, the hostess also helped us with our bags. They are both genuinely wonderful and super enthusiastic, constantly asking if we needed anything and telling us to call them if anything came up. I don't know what else to say, but we went to Dali during the May Day holiday, the weather wasn't great, and it was really crowded. On top of the flight delay and cancellation, my mood was really down. However, the people in Dali are all so nice, and the owners of this guesthouse were just exceptional. They really added a warm touch to our trip. Even though the timing wasn't ideal this time, if I ever get the chance, I'll definitely go back to Dali and definitely stay at this guesthouse again!

I absolutely loved this ancient-style courtyard! It has a wonderfully serene atmosphere. Wearing the traditional clothes provided by the inn, I instantly felt transported back in time, like a charming young lady from an old tale! The room layout is a split-level loft. The first floor has a living room with a sofa, and the second floor boasts a scenic balcony. Sitting there, whether just daydreaming or sipping tea, was incredibly relaxing! In the evenings, the inn also offers cocktails, and a late-night drink helped me sleep soundly! If you, like me, enjoy old-world courtyard inns, I highly recommend this one in Dali!

The environment is quiet and serene, and there are many shared bikes available for rent right outside. However, I recommend renting from Haiyan Car Rental, which we booked. It's very affordable and highly recommended. They offer doorstep delivery for an extra 8 yuan, and they deliver quickly – in less than five minutes. The price is much cheaper than the shared bikes at the entrance, and they even provide free baby seats if you have children. They have options for 100km and 200km. On our first day, we rented a 200km bike and rode all the way to Xizhou and back – it was quite an adventure! Afterwards, for exploring nearby (Dali Ancient City), short-distance rentals are sufficient. Plus, after 6 PM, it's half price. The hotel is also right next to the very famous Cang'er Avenue, which is super convenient!

I was on a solo trip, and to sum it up, staying here felt just like coming home. The butler staff (both male and female) were incredibly professional, polite, and attentive. There's breakfast and afternoon tea available for pickup in the lobby. On two separate days, I was out and missed afternoon tea. When I returned to the guesthouse, the front desk butler actually remembered I hadn't had any for two days and asked if I wanted the mini cakes from the fridge. Every time I asked for water, they'd offer an extra bottle and ask if I needed anything else. For breakfast, they encouraged me to take more if there was anything else I liked. When the female butler dropped me off at the ancient city, she'd also ask if there were any places I hadn't visited yet and offered recommendations. All these little details made my solo trip so much more comfortable, allowing me to feel completely at ease every day. The guesthouse's location at the foot of Cangshan Mountain is also lovely. I highly recommend staying here! I'll definitely be back next time! They also offer shuttle service to and from the ancient city, and if you stay for three nights, airport drop-off is included.

This stay across from Guanyintang was a wonderful surprise! The environment was exceptional. The room offered stunning views from the window, showcasing the tranquil scenery of Guanyintang and the everyday life of people along Erhai Lake. In the mornings, you could hear birdsong and see snow-capped mountains; at night, the gentle breeze and the chance to pet adorable cats filled the air. It was incredibly relaxing and comfortable. The cleanliness was impeccable. From the tidy beds to the gleaming floors, the bathroom was spotless. Attention to detail was evident, making for a very comfortable and reassuring stay. The facilities were complete and thoughtful. The air conditioning and TV worked perfectly, the internet was smooth, and there were convenient power outlets by the bedside, along with comfortable tables and chairs to meet all your needs. The service was impeccable. The front desk staff were warm and professional, providing helpful guidance during check-in, responding quickly to any requests during the trip, and making check-out efficient. The entire experience was pleasant and welcoming. And the few adorable (≧^.^≦) cats were absolutely adorable! I highly recommend this accommodation; it's a fantastic place to relax near Guanyintang.

Staying at this hotel was definitely the highlight of my trip to Dali. The hotel seamlessly connects to Dali Ancient City, allowing easy access to experience its lively yet rustic charm anytime. Inside, the hotel felt like a hidden paradise, quiet and incredibly comfortable, with every plant vibrant and full of life. The room's facilities were modern and smart; the intelligent climate control system adjusted the temperature precisely, making for a more comfortable sleep. For breakfast, there were various crispy and delicious pancakes, and the afternoon tea's matcha latte was incredibly fragrant. The staff were like thoughtful friends, proactively helping me capture beautiful moments with photos and sharing many local, lesser-known spots, which filled my journey with delightful surprises.

I have lived in the most comfortable homestay in Dali for 5 days! Backed by Cangshan Mountain, facing the sea, the location is super good, very close to the ancient city of Dali, Dali University, supermarket and private kitchen within 100m, there is a ”grocery store” selling everything at the door, you can also rent a battery car, quiet in the middle of noisy, open the window to feel the slow life of Dali, the room is clean and warm, The landlord is warm and caring, and I will stay here next time I come to Dali!
