"During peak season in Dali, hotels are quite expensive. Since I was on a business trip, I chose a hotel close to the train station, and it turned out to be a great choice. First, the location is super convenient, just a 6-7 minute walk from the train station, easily accessible by crossing a pedestrian bridge. The train station also has buses going to the ancient city. Plus, that pedestrian bridge area is a transportation hub with many public transport routes. Second, the hotel is very clean, and the rooms are excellent, even better than some older five-star hotels I've stayed in. Third, there's a laundry room on the second floor with both washers and dryers, which is perfect for long-term travelers, especially during the summer."

"Absolutely loved the Wabi-sabi style king room! The sophisticated minimalist decor is elegant and timeless. The king-size bed was super comfortable for a great night's sleep, and the window-side table and chairs were perfect for enjoying the view and relaxing. The facilities are excellent, the bathroom was clean and fresh, and both lighting and ventilation were superb. The environment is quiet and refined, and the cleanliness was meticulous. It's my top choice for any trip! The Italian aesthetic is fully embraced; the room is clean and comfortable, and the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom are very convenient. The courtyard common area is cozy and relaxing. The overall living experience was fantastic, definitely worth returning for! The location here is excellent. It's right by the Erhai Gate, and nearby there are snack shops, convenience stores, dining options, and even makeup services. It's also very close to Erhai Gate, with many car rental options available. It’s a great base for exploring!"

"I chose 'Escape Time' on a whim for my solo trip to Dali, and it exceeded all my expectations! The location is perfect – quiet yet just a few minutes' walk from the South Gate of the Old Town. It's super convenient for exploring the night market and renting a car to go to Erhai Lake. Being away from the main street's traffic noise, I slept incredibly soundly at night. The dorm beds come with full blackout curtains, individual reading lights, and lockable storage, so you can draw the curtain for your own private space. The mattress is soft and silent, so turning over won't disturb your roommates. The entire place has air conditioning and separate wet/dry bathrooms, and everything is meticulously clean. The public courtyard is lush with greenery and perfect for photos, and the lobby has a PS5 and board games. There's open-air movie screening every night. The front desk service is thoughtful and attentive, and they even help with itinerary planning. The all-in-one washer and dryer completely solve laundry problems for long trips. This place offers incredible value for money. As a solo traveler, staying here felt warm and secure. I'll definitely choose this place again when I come back to Dali!"

"The small living room has sliding windows where you can enjoy the sea breeze up close and watch the seagulls. They offer complimentary evening milk and breakfast, and the rooftop is perfect for catching the sunrise. Since we had a child, they kindly provided an extra blanket. We stayed for four nights, but I was a bit disappointed that the floor wasn't cleaned daily. The evening singers were asked to leave before 9 PM, but around the New Year, there were fireworks at night which could be a bit noisy."

"The lady at the front desk has very good service and the environment is very nice. You can see the sea while lying on the bed. I stayed in a large terrace room for three days and a double bed balcony room for one day. All very nice. A family of three can live in a large terrace where the children can play, and two people can live in a balcony room, where they can watch the sea while lying on the bed. Very comfortable. It’s good to check in and take photos on the rooftop."
Sanse Yunhe Inn (Dali Shuanglang Bohai Snow Store)
"I stayed for two nights in Shuanglang, and the experience was absolutely perfect. Even before I arrived, the butler proactively contacted me and met us at the intersection. They helped with our luggage all the way to the room, so I didn't have to lift a finger the entire time – truly a godsend for lazy people like me. The room even had makeup remover wipes and face masks, which were thoughtful little touches that really added to the experience. The projector had a clear picture, and it was so cozy to curl up in bed and watch movies. Just outside the window was Erhai Lake, and on a cloudy, rainy day, the water looked misty and ethereal, like an ink wash painting – every photo I took looked amazing. They also offered a complimentary travel photoshoot, and the photographer was excellent at finding the best angles; the pictures were instantly shareable on social media. When checking out, they even gave us a box of brown sugar as a souvenir, saying it was for the ladies – so incredibly thoughtful! Overall, there was absolutely nothing to complain about during my stay. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Dali."

"The environment here is exceptional, and the room amenities are very high-end – it was a comfortable stay. Now for the drawbacks: 1. The butler service felt overly formal and lacked warmth; communication was stiff. 2. On our second day, we left in the morning and returned at 5 PM to find the room hadn't been cleaned at all. 3. While I was in the bathtub around 6 PM, someone rang the doorbell. The tub was far, and it takes time to get dressed, but they just swiped their card and entered, saying they were delivering fruit. It was truly speechless. They didn't even bother to deliver the fruit later. 4. The food at the Japanese yakitori restaurant definitely needs improvement, and the service speed was also inadequate. We were shivering in the evening while waiting for all our dishes and left as soon as we finished eating. I hope that on our next stay, the service will live up to the EDITION brand's standards."

I originally thought there would be a lot of mosquitoes and insects since it's at the foot of the mountain, but there weren't any. The room hygiene was also very thorough. Service: A butler proactively added me on WeChat and asked if I needed any help. During breakfast, the staff were also very enthusiastic and friendly, especially towards children."

"Staying at Pullman Dali with kids was a fantastic experience! The first-row Erhai Lake view from our window was absolutely stunning. The heated pool had children's floats available, and the service was thoughtful, even providing kids' toiletries. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options. It's very close to the Erhai Lake Greenway, making it stress-free and comfortable for family travel. Getting to and from the ancient city was convenient, and our whole family was very satisfied."

"Nice looking hotel with a very good location near Dali Ancient City. Clean and new looking hotel. The hotel was full and because we checked in late, We were given a free upgrade so.... Service very good too 😂. Was confident this hotel would get a 5/5 but... On the second day there was no refill of the rooms mineral water. Also on the second day, there was no butter at the breakfast service. So unfortunately, had to deduct 1 star for amenities."

It's incredibly convenient for exploring the old town and trying local delicacies. The overall design of the guesthouse is absolutely gorgeous and perfectly matches my aesthetic! It's a super healing Wabi-sabi style with Bai ethnic courtyard features, and you can get great photos anywhere without needing to search for specific spots. The room has a very high-quality feel, and the bedding is so soft and incredibly comfortable to lie on. The staff are all incredibly gentle and attentive, helping with luggage and promptly resolving any issues, which made everything so stress-free. For breakfast, there's freshly made Dali rice noodles, and a variety of Chinese and Western simple meals, all with fresh ingredients. Overall, my stay was genuinely super comfortable~"
