GGuest UserI booked two nights next to the ancient city of Dali. After staying there for one night, my kids said it was not fun just to walk around. I canceled the reservation at midnight and booked a hotel at Time Inn next to the ancient city. After arriving, I felt that both kids were very satisfied. The courtyard is very beautiful and warm, and the boss sister is very enthusiastic (their family came here from their hometown in Chongqing to play here before, but they couldn't take care of it and so they ended up living here permanently). We originally only booked it for one night, but the kids didn't have enough fun and stayed here for two days in a row. ! The eldest brother likes to eat the dinner cooked by the boss very much, it is delicious! (He had a bit of a problem with his mouth, but he said it tasted delicious. It must be better than what I made😋) About 100 meters away is Erhai Lake. We went cycling as soon as we arrived. I accidentally broke my knee, and the boss bought me iodine and povidone. He took anti-inflammatory ***** and enthusiastically took my two children to play on the beach. I was very touched! On the third day today, after having dinner with my sister's family, we rode the boss's tricycle to go for a walk on the Erhai Lake. Bashi's board! In the future, when we come to Erhai Lake, we will still book at my sister’s house. It’s very comfortable! (The tricycle is owned by the owner, so you don’t need to pay for it.) All kinds of travel ladies will arrange a comfortable one for us. We must give it a big thumbs up 👍

AAurora Alexandra NewellI spent a wonderful two weeks here in April / May, and absolutely loved it - my calmest, easiest experience in China so far. The hotel is clean and beautiful, the quality of everything in the rooms is very high, but it still has a ‘homestay’ feel - the balance is just right. The roof terrace has a gorgeous view of the mountains and is very relaxing, the hosts are kind and helpful (no English is spoken, but WeChat works well). The street is quiet, but it’s only a few minutes’ walk to great street food, cafes, bars and restaurants. I absolutely recommend this hotel and will return if I’m ever in Dali again.

AAnonymous UserLocation was slightly further away from Dali train station (~1h by car). But no regrets booking this hotel because the service was very impressive, room was clean, many free gifts and amenities were really good. It was a shame that we were only there for 2 short nights.
On our first day, we were greeted by the hotel staff with welcome fruits at the lobby. Even though we were assigned to the first floor, the sea views was nice. Room was very spacious and amenities were of good quality. The hair dryer was small, compact but strong and dries well. All towels and slippers are sterilised and individually packaged. We were pleasantly surprised by the AI bots 小度 and 小爱 who kept us informed and entertained. The room was warm during our stay in winter, with separate heaters for the room and shower! There’s also projector to keep us entertained although most shows were
separately chargeable.
Our room comes with free photography which is a plus. There’s a wide range of outfits to choose from, ranging from traditional clothing to the modern dresses and skirts.
The washing machine and dryer at the rooftop were functional and the hotel staff was very patient and friendly in helping us to use it. Rooftop views were breathtaking as well.
There’s gym equipments and massage chairs in the basement for use. Hotel kittens were really cute.
We told the hotel staff we could not make it for breakfast as we had to catch a flight and the staff was really kind to prepare milk, a whole packet of bread and a bag of cherry tomatoes for us. We cant thank her enough for her kind gesture.
We stayed at 3 different hotels throughout our trip and this hotel is the best one. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserWe visited Dali for the first time from New York. Our kids were in a local summer camp for two weeks. We took the large three bedroom suite. It was a very comfortable stay - perfect for adults and children. The owners were very nice and sweet, especially with the kids. They would offer fruit from their garden sometimes.
The hotel had a nice stream and a pond with fish inside. The kids loved it. They would catch fish and eel with their nets over and over again. Also they have a friendly dog that the kids enjoyed playing with.
The hotel is 10 minutes away from Dali village. They had some scooters that we used from time to time to travel around, which made everything more convenient.
If we come to Dali again we would stay in this hotel.

11363128****I made a last-minute decision to travel solo and hastily booked an Airbnb near the airport the night before. It ended up exceeding all my expectations!
First, the Airbnb offers airport pickup service, so I was able to get straight into the car upon landing and head directly to the accommodation. The room decor was cozy and charming, and having a bathtub really helped wash away the fatigue of the journey. The host was incredibly welcoming; when I overslept, they even made sure to call me down for breakfast. They also packed some delicious flower cookies for me to take on my way, setting a perfect mood for the first day of my trip!
The view from the rooftop is also fantastic!

MM606508****I absolutely, absolutely loved this guesthouse! As soon as we stepped into the antique-style room, my friend and I couldn't help but exclaim 'wow!' countless times. It's located right in Dali Ancient City, making transportation incredibly convenient. On our first day in Dali, this guesthouse made such a positive impression that it elevated my overall perception of the city. We originally booked for only two days, and if our schedule hadn't been so packed, I would have truly loved to stay a few more nights.
The owner's attitude was simply impeccable. He helped us with our luggage, was incredibly responsive to all our requests, and arranged everything perfectly for us.
The room even supports smart voice control! Before we checked in, the owner specifically came over to teach us how to use it – truly full marks for attention to detail, I was incredibly touched! He also recommended a travel route for exploring Dali and helped us book an electric scooter, which saved us a lot of hassle. The auntie at the guesthouse was also exceptionally thoughtful. Because we were staying in different rooms on our two days, the owner proactively upgraded us to a better room. When she saw us doing laundry, the auntie was constantly busy helping around – it truly made us feel as warm and comfortable as being at home.
The environment is also superb. Downstairs, there's a small courtyard where guests can sit, chat, and enjoy some tea. The owner also prepared fruits and small snacks, which were readily available – so thoughtful. All in all, this experience was truly wonderful! I will definitely recommend this place to any friends visiting Dali in the future; I genuinely love it so much! And the price isn't expensive either; from the moment we checked in, I felt it was super value for money and absolutely adored it!
Finally, I wish the owner a prosperous business and that the guesthouse is fully booked every day!

MM44362****The inn boasts an excellent location, conveniently accessible yet surprisingly quiet. Plus, it has an underground parking garage, which is incredibly handy. The rooms offer expansive and bright views; open the window and you're treated to the beautiful scenery of Cangshan Mountain. From the room decor to the daily service, every detail is meticulously thought out, truly reflecting the owner's attentiveness. The breakfast spread is rich and varied. I highly recommend the minced meat rice noodles and the toast bread, especially with the delicious Yunnan-style blueberry jam—it's a fantastic combination!

GGuest UserA truly wonderful host! She met us so that we can find the guesthouse and also gave good suggestions on sites to visit Dali and Erhai. Helped us arrange a driver for Erhai excursion to watch the sunrise. Rooms are big as described by pictures which came with heating. Inn location makes easy visit to the 3 pagodas as well. The shiba is an additional hosts too!

GGuest UserRoom was big and spacious, and as pictured. Loved the huge window that looked out into the courtyard. The place is also stylishly done up and looks quite new, there's a tearoom where you can try all sorts of tea. Was positively surprised by the complimentary afternoon tea served - one big platter of fruits and baba!
However there's one thing I didn't like and hence I won't recommend this place - if you don't like hard beds, this place won't be suitable for you. Found the bed extremely hard, so hard that when I first sat on it I thought I was sitting on a wooden plank. I even flipped over the bed sheet just to check there was a mattress underneath, there was, it's just super duper hard. Never seen a mattress this hard before, I wouldn't even call it a mattress lol. And they put a fairly thick topper on top of it, and it was still uncomfortable. I happened to be alone so I took the duvet from the other bed, folded it into half to make it thicker and slept on it. Was slightly better but still, not a great sleeping experience. It's unfortunate because otherwise, I quite liked the place. Oh and location wise, it's also a distance from the main town centre (20 mins), which can be a little eery when you walk back at night in the dark. The good thing is its near the fields but yeah, away from the main streets in the town.

GGuest UserThis B&B, located inside Dali Ancient City, is a traditional 'Sanheyuan' (three-sided courtyard) with distinctive Bai ethnic characteristics. Breakfast, personally cooked by the owner's mother, offered a good variety, and the rice noodles were delicious. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. Our family of three stayed in a suite with three beds, which allowed everyone their own space. The beds were very comfortable and had electric blankets. The shower had stable water pressure and hot water came on quickly. On the third floor, there's a small glass-enclosed terrace where you can do laundry and, crucially, enjoy direct views of Cangshan Mountain. The entire B&B has full Wi-Fi coverage, and it was really pleasant to work from the third-floor terrace. The apples provided by the B&B are grown by the owner themselves and were very tasty! We stayed for six consecutive nights and highly recommend it.
