The decor and design were fantastic. The renovation of the historic building is quite unique, and the courtyard is breathtaking.
The housekeeping service was excellent, and any requests were promptly addressed.

RRenshenggouqielaibeinatieFound a gem! Booked for eight nights straight. Before coming to Dali, I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of B&Bs, but this one didn't disappoint. Its location is perfect, just across from the ancient city, and there are plenty of food delivery options nearby. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast – how many B&Bs in Dali can say that? Although it's a B&B, both the facilities and services are up to hotel standards, definitely a solid 4.5 stars, if not 5. Yet, it still retains the warmth of a B&B owner, giving you a wonderful 'home away from home' feeling! I've experienced both the 'starry sky' room and the room with a hot tub. The hot tub in the 'starry sky' room is indoors, while the other is in the room's small courtyard. I was initially worried if it would be too cold or too sunny in February, and if there'd be enough hot water. As a 'Northeast old iron' (a term for someone from Northeast China, implying resilience), I can confirm that my family of three used it every single day!

1. Location:
Walking distance to everything. 1-200 meters to ancient town main street.
2. Facilities:
The homestay is locates right by the Erhai lake with wonderful view throughout the day. I stayed in a room without direct lake view but there is a restaurant and lobby with very nice decoration where we took a lot of lake photos.
The common scenic spot on 3F is unique and very beautiful. I got a free photoshoot by professional photographer also, he's really nice and quick-witted. We had some very nice photos.
The room is clean and well-maintained (I got free upgraded to a bigger room, assumed becuz of the off-season). We had everything we need. Open the window and the room is always full of fresh air, there is a window net to prevent insects in place.
The breakfast included in room fare was a big nice surprise also. The preparation looked wholehearted, the food was fresh and like a mini buffet, simple yet sumptious. I don't think we can get something like that at outside restaurants for under 100y/pax.
3. Customer service:
The BEST part of this facilities. The staff (Xiao Yang, Xiao Zhi, Pei jie) are so friendly, patient and always went out and beyond their way to make the guests feel comfortable:
- They called 1 day ahead of the stay to confirm details and even helped me book local carpooling to save money
- They helped me take the luggage from car drop-off to hotel (a short walk as the homestay is located within the ancient town, car cannot go in)
- They answered literally every request in very fast manner
- Nice little F&B freebies are soooooo nice

Shuanglang itself is a very chill and relaxing place to visit in Dali, wonderful for people who like to wander and enjoy the view. But the experience at this homestay made it 10 times better for me and my husband. Would definitely recommend to friends and come back if I visit Shuanglang again.

1. 地理位置： 走路去哪儿都方便，离双廊古镇主街只有一两百米，超级近！
2. 设施环境： 民宿就在洱海边上，一整天都有超赞的湖景。虽然我住的房间不是正对湖景，但餐厅和大厅的装修很有氛围，我们在那拍了好多洱海美照。 三楼的公共观景台也很特别，真的很美！还有专业摄影师免费帮我们拍照，人超好又机灵，照片效果很棒～ 房间干净又维护得很好（可能因为淡季还免费升级了大房间，赚到了）。该有的都有，窗户一开就是新鲜空气，还有纱窗防蚊虫，贴心！ 房价里包含的早餐也是惊喜，看得出是用心准备的，食材新鲜，像个迷你自助餐，简单却丰盛。外面餐厅要吃到这种水平估计得100块/人以上了。
3. 服务体验： 最最最加分的就是服务！小杨、小志、沛姐人都超好，耐心又热情，真的把客人当朋友照顾：
入住前一天就打电话确认，还帮我订了当地拼车，省了不少钱
到了之后还帮我从停车点把行李搬到民宿（因为古镇里车进不去）
有求必应，回复速度超快
还有各种小吃小饮料免费送，太贴心了！ 简直是五星级酒店的服务标准，在地道民宿里体验到了 😂
双廊本身就是个很适合放松、随便走走看看风景的地方。但这次住在这家民宿，让我和老公的旅程幸福感直接翻十倍！强烈推荐给朋友们～下次来双廊一定还住这里！

I just wanted to book a hotel close to Dali Station for my last day, but I ended up having the most wonderful hotel experience of my 10-day Yunnan trip here. Miss Liang added me on WeChat a day in advance, thoughtfully asking about my arrival time. On the day itself, she was already waiting downstairs to greet me, helped carry my luggage upstairs, and explained everything about the hotel. The hotel itself is also perfect; being on the 19th floor offers an unobstructed view of the beautiful Erhai Lake. I booked a 'random' king room and was lucky enough to stay in the 'Lu' room. The view from the huge bay window is absolutely stunning – I felt like I could lie there all day. The bathroom has a wet/dry separation, and the disposable toiletries are very complete. There's also a super large soaking tub, though I didn't get a chance to try it due to time constraints. The restaurant offers 24-hour fruit and beverages, and I heard the breakfast is delicious, but I unfortunately mistook the breakfast time. I'll definitely try it next time! The hotel is located in the city center, close to several large shopping malls. It's less than a 10-minute taxi ride to Kunbai Department Store Taiye City, which is really convenient. On the day of my departure, Sister Liang arranged a complimentary shuttle service to the station for me. All in all, a perfect hotel experience, and the perfect Sister Liang~! I will definitely be back!!

The moment we made the booking, the service desk was extremely responsive, addressing all our queries via WeChat.
Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by two staff members who waited patiently for us despite the chilly breeze. They efficiently took care of our luggage, ensuring a seamless check-in process.
The rooms offered breathtaking views and a refreshing breeze, further enhanced by the delightful welcome tea break snacks. The rooms were well-equipped with essential amenities, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches, including a projector that allowed us to enjoy a fun karaoke session.
To top it all off, the staff even prepared an early breakfast for us, which was truly appreciated.

GGuest UserService was fantastic, the host was superb! Place was clean, convenient, and included all that one could need on a vacation. In the heart of Ancient Dali, this was perfect for food, entertainment, and shopping. It is also minutes away from the famous Cangshan mountain, and the host is very considerate in assisting you with any arrangement you'd like, including cabs for railway and airport transportation.
I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the room matched exactly the photos that are on the site. Very often this is not the case. So, all in all it was a very pleasant experience at this location.
Would definitely stay again and certainly would recommend this to anyone travelling to Dali. As a single female, I found this place to be very safe...especially with a considerate host, who looks out for you!

__WeChat520040****The service attitude is good, but that's different from actually delivering good service. This hotel's price is high compared to others nearby. While the staff's attitude is great, the service and management are subpar. There's an exaggerated, showy facade, but basic services aren't done well, yet they proudly claim to be a branded hotel.
1. First, the butler service. Upon check-in, I was told there'd be afternoon tea and that I needed a voucher to redeem it in the common area. Some other hotels even deliver to your room and ask your preferred time, but here, when afternoon tea time arrived, the butler didn't even send a WeChat reminder. So, I missed it—my bad, I accept that.
2. So I went to the common area on the third floor, hoping for some snacks. They state it's open until 9 PM, but I arrived at 6 PM. The area was empty, no plates or cutlery replenished, the coffee machine was off, no hot tea, and the fruit bowls were almost empty with only one or two pieces left. I contacted the hotel, and a very kind staff member eventually brought me some items, but it really felt like no one was in charge.
3. What really highlighted the chaotic management was breakfast. The night before, they asked for my dining time the next day, stating it was to manage and arrange guest flow. Yet, when I arrived the next day, there were no seats! I ended up sharing a table with strangers. So what was the point of pre-arranging and managing? It would have been better not to ask; guests might have felt better and wouldn't have had to wake up at a specific time for breakfast. Besides me, there was another group of guests standing and waiting too. The hotel said some other guests didn't adhere to their times, so they were seated. Are punctual guests being punished? If they can't even manage and communicate something like this effectively, what exactly is the hotel's 'guest flow management'?
4. After arriving at the breakfast area, there was no introduction to what was available, what was self-service, or if tea and coffee were self-serve. Essentially, I was just left to my own devices by the so-called 'butler'. At the self-service area, I found two dishes were empty, the hot milk wasn't hot, and the hot tea was cold. Guests at the next table also complained that their different kind of tea was cold.
5. They brought out a pile of breakfast items in a rush, without explaining what anything was. What's the point of serving abalone? It's all just for show. Piling the table full seems to be their idea of completing the task.
6. Regarding the facilities, the room door lock was an old-fashioned key, very difficult to open. After entering the room, to lock the door, you have to use the key again from the inside! Every time I handled that key, my hands smelled metallic, and the fabric charm on it was dirty and disgusting.
7. The soundproofing is terrible, a common issue with old buildings.
8. Many items in the room were labeled 'Not for Gifting,' which felt very uncomfortable. It implies guests might steal things. It's not like this is a super high-end hotel or the items are particularly luxurious. Even the slippers were labeled. I've stayed in many top-tier hotels costing tens of thousands a night worldwide, and none were like this. Guests who can afford over a thousand a night probably aren't going to steal things.
I really didn't experience any 'butler service.' Was I managing them, or were they my butlers? This all points to fundamental issues in the hotel's management and staff training. I will not consider staying at any other hotels of this brand in the future.

__APC502968****This time, my boyfriend and I traveled together and stayed for 3 nights. Because the same room type was fully booked, we had to change to an upstairs room on the second day. The owner was incredibly enthusiastic and always offered to help us move our large suitcases, they were so kind! One night, my boyfriend suffered from altitude sickness in the early hours, and I messaged the owner. They replied instantly and brought us an oxygen tank, constantly checking in on us, which was truly touching! The breakfast every day was freshly cooked and fragrant rice noodles. The room was also very spacious and clean. In terms of location, it's very close to Sanyue Street, great for shopping, and also close to the ancient city. You can even rent an electric scooter from the owner! There's also a billiard table downstairs for entertainment! I have to say it again, the owner is really, really nice!! I didn't actually take any photos of the hotel, but the environment is really good!

MM507417****This place truly made me feel at home. I arrived at the hotel starving after my business trip, heading straight into a solo vacation. The owner's father personally picked me up from the airport and even made me a warm bowl of noodles. The rest of my stay was wonderful. The room had an unbeatable location; I could see Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain the moment I woke up, and enjoyed both sunrise and sunset, plus the evening 'fish lanterns'. Reading, sunbathing, and feeling the breeze from Erhai Lake on the balcony – it was incredibly relaxing. The only downside was that the room was so comfortable, I barely wanted to leave to explore! The owner, knowing I was tired, even brought my takeout right to my room. I wish all hard-working people like them continued success!

TTiansanshijiushiwoyaThis is my fifth time vacationing in Dali, and it's been a really busy year. Dali is such a relaxing city. I stayed at the Jupiter Castle Hotel once before, right after it opened, and it left a deep impression. So I returned to Wenbi Village. Compared to a few years ago, Wenbi Village's commercial offerings are much more developed, and this hotel's service is even more meticulous. The overall aesthetic is perfect for photos. My room booking included complimentary pick-up service from Dali Airport, taking me directly to the hotel. The butler kept in touch throughout my stay. That very evening, I saw a 'burning cloud' sunset, which hadn't appeared for many days. The next morning, I witnessed the rare sight of the sun illuminating Cangshan Mountain. Wenbi Village is situated at an elevation that offers a panoramic view of Cangshan and Erhai Lake, arguably one of the best locations. Although it's been open for three or four years, the hotel is very well-maintained. The mini-fridge was stocked with many complimentary items, including face masks, jellies, and drinks, all free to enjoy. The hygiene was impeccable, and the overall environment was fantastic. Just staying in the room, curled up on the sofa, with the warm sunlight streaming in and bathing me, instantly made all the stress and exhaustion from work disappear. Thank you, Dali, and thank you, Jupiter Castle, for making this trip so perfect. I'll definitely stay here again next time I get the chance!
