Hotels in Dali City with Bathtub

"We had a bit of a disappointing experience at the Jiatu Scenic Hotel. The room listing states ‘lake view’ so we booked that room, however, it turns out that this room does not face the lake and has an internal car par window instead. The listing photos conveniently have the net curtains of the windows drawn so you can’t see this from the inside photos. The receptionist insisted the Trip.com listing was accurate because the hotel was near the lake and therefore a ‘lake view’. They would not change us to a room with the lake view that we believed we booked, despite having multiple lake-view rooms available and us checking in at 10.30pm. They insisted the only way we could change the room was to cancel our booking (and incur a 50% cancellation fee) and rebook the more expensive ‘sea-view’ room instead. We contacted Trip.com who spoke to the hotel also but they were unwilling to help or move us, despite the room not matching the listing description. Trip themselves were very helpful and offered us some compensation. In the end we stayed in the room we’d booked with no lake view. The room itself was lovely and spacious, had storage options and was clean and tidy. If we’d booked knowing this didn’t have a lake view then it would have been perfect! The location is near the station which is great if you’re there for one night, however we were there for 2 nights and had to travel 40 minutes to get to Dali Old Town or the 28 bends ecological corridor, so personally if I were to come to Dali again I would choose a hotel in that location instead. It is worth noting that the hotel is across the road from the lake, so you can see cars and the road even in the lakeside view rooms."

"We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing. What stood out most was the excellent service. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and responsive to our requests, always ready to assist with a smile. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!"

"We will be back! This felt like a home away from home, except it had such a wonderful view of the lake. The host was super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, close to the railway station, which was very handy for us as we came over from Kunming and then went back. You're close to many of the central places and with DiDi taxi, it's super easy to get around from here. We will for sure book here again; we're already planning a visit back."

"My stay at the Dali Shanhai Yunjian Hotel completely exceeded my expectations. It's definitely a hidden gem worth choosing if you're visiting Dali! The room was bright and airy with an excellent layout. The bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep without any issues. The wet/dry separation in the bathroom was very well done, the toiletries were high quality, and all the essential facilities were available. Everything was meticulously clean, making for a truly comfortable stay. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive. Check-in was efficient and quick, and the staff were patient and thoughtful. Whether I needed directions or tips for local attractions, they provided detailed answers that made me feel very welcome. Getting around and sightseeing was also incredibly convenient. The hotel isn't far from the Old Town or popular spots like Erhai Lake, so you can enjoy a peaceful stay without compromising your travel plans. Choosing this hotel for your Dali trip is an absolute no-brainer. The environment, service, and overall experience are all top-notch. The next time I visit Dali, I'll definitely choose Shanhai Yunjian again. I sincerely recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Dali!"

"The owner was incredibly nice! So thoughtful; he noticed we weren't dressed warmly enough and reminded us to wear more layers. Thank goodness for him! Otherwise, we would have been freezing… He felt like a long-time friend! Super nice! The stay was fantastic! Very close to both the Old Town and Erhai Lake. 15 minutes by electric scooter from the Old Town. 30 minutes from Erhai Lake. Electric scooter rental is also available. Great value for money."

"The first hotel on our Yunnan trip was absolutely fantastic! The moment we stepped into the courtyard, we were instantly charmed by the beautiful flowers and plants, and seeing the adorable cats and dogs just lifted our spirits. The room was very clean, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, which is one of my must-haves when choosing accommodation. The bedding was super comfortable, and the bed was great for sleeping. They even had a direct drinking water dispenser in the room, which felt much safer than an electric kettle. The guesthouse is just over a ten-minute walk to the South Gate of the ancient town. The walk back takes a few minutes longer because there's an uphill slope right before you reach the guesthouse, but if you rent a scooter, it's no problem at all. They even thoughtfully provided a foot bath tub in the room – soaking my feet after a long day was so relaxing. The staff at the guesthouse were all young men, and they were warm and welcoming without being intrusive. If I come back to Dali, I'll definitely choose this guesthouse again."

"This beachfront guesthouse is a hidden gem, you won't regret staying here! The location is fantastic, right on the waterfront with stunning sea views. You don't have to go far to reach Erhai Lake, and there are plenty of great restaurants nearby, making dining and drinks super convenient. The butler service is incredibly thoughtful and attentive, providing genuine care throughout your stay. The cleanliness is exceptional; the entire house is spotless, the bedding is clean and soft, and the bathtub and vanity are meticulously cleaned and disinfected repeatedly. All the facilities are new and well-equipped. You can enjoy an immersive sea view from the scenic bathtub, and the public library corner offers a quiet and atmospheric space. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area with excellent drainage, no standing water, and all the soft furnishings and appliances are new models and well-maintained. The balcony offers a wide, open view – it's incredibly therapeutic to feel the breeze and watch the sea. Everything is well-appointed, clean, and comfortable, making it our top choice for a getaway."

"I absolutely have to rave about this guesthouse! The cleanliness was by far the most impressive aspect – they don't cut any corners. Every nook and cranny, from the room corners to the windowsills and the bathroom, was spotless. The sheets and duvet covers felt brand new. Even though it was raining, there was absolutely no dampness or musty smell. The facilities were also comprehensive and all in good working order; the mini-fridge and hairdryer were great, there were plenty of charging outlets, and even a clothes rack and drying area. It had everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. The owner also thoughtfully recommended various delicious eateries and fun places to visit, which made the whole experience incredibly pleasant. Highly recommend!"

"I wholeheartedly recommend Yuanlu Hotel. My entire stay was perfectly comfortable with absolutely no downsides! The location is superb, making it incredibly convenient for getting around, shopping, and finding food, without needing to stress about planning routes. The hotel itself is very new, and the guest rooms feature modern, smart facilities. They are clean, tidy, and comfortably laid out, making for a refreshing and upscale stay. The staff's service is attentive and thoughtful, responding promptly to any needs. Every small detail shows their meticulous care, making you feel completely at home. The breakfast quality exceeded expectations, with a wide variety of delicious options. I must especially praise the freshly ground handmade soy milk – it was incredibly fragrant, warm, and subtly sweet, clearly made with quality ingredients. The complimentary afternoon tea was an extra delightful surprise; the presentation was exquisite and refined, and the pastries were thoughtfully paired and just the right sweetness without being cloying. Enjoying tea and desserts at the hotel in the afternoon created a wonderful ambiance. It’s perfect for both solo travel and small gatherings. This will be my top choice for future trips!"
