FFubohanI booked the glamping room with a hot tub and twin beds, and it totally exceeded my expectations! The guesthouse is right at the entrance to the ancient city, which made exploring and getting around super convenient. The whole place has an elegant and peaceful vibe, and it was exceptionally clean, making for a really comfortable stay. During the day, soaking in the hot tub while gazing at Dali's blue skies and white clouds was so therapeutic and relaxing. At night, it was incredibly romantic and cozy to unwind in the warm water while stargazing.
The bedding was comfortable, the service was attentive, and the room amenities were exquisite. This was by far the best accommodation during my trip to Dali! Highly recommend!!!

GGuest UserThis is indeed a high-rise unit in Xiaguan with amazing views. Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake are both right before your eyes. The location is super convenient, right next to the Erhai Pier. The room is neatly and warmly decorated. The young lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic and answered all our questions. Everything was arranged perfectly. The auntie at the restaurant was also very thoughtful, preparing different breakfasts every day. There's even a washing machine, which is a great convenience for those always on the go. An absolutely fantastic experience! :)

GGuest UserThe room has great natural light and is very spacious. Compared to similar places, the price is really friendly. The homestay's service is absolutely outstanding. It's located high up, offering unobstructed views of Erhai Lake. They even prepare an afternoon tea, so you can just relax, enjoy the breeze, and have some snacks – you could easily spend the whole afternoon there without needing to go out. It just so happened that we stayed on Lantern Festival, and the owner even prepared *tangyuan* (sweet dumplings) for us. We bought so many fireworks that night, we couldn't even set them all off, seriously, there were too many!
**Summary:**
Great service, clean facilities, and fantastic views. It's located in Haidong, so driving is recommended. Definitely a place you can book with confidence!

__WeChat13369****Extremely satisfied with this B&B, especially the housekeeper – five-star rating! I had a great time chatting with her; she took care of everything perfectly.
And the B&B's doggy ”staff member,” Little Burger, is super cute and cuddly!
The decor feels very much like home. When you pull back the curtains on the panoramic French windows, you see the wetland park outside, which is a popular spot for photos – there were even people taking wedding pictures at the entrance.
On New Year's Eve, we just drew back the curtains and watched the fireworks show directly from our room!
The rooftop offers an absolutely stunning view of the sunset!
And the cutest little dog in all of Dali, Burger! I truly love him; even three nights here wasn't enough.
Overall, the stay was flawless. Renting a car made getting around very convenient. I'll definitely be back!

Location – unbeatable and worry-free
The location is extremely convenient, right in the heart of Dali Ancient Town. As soon as you step outside, you’re surrounded by beautiful ancient streets and alleys, full of local character. 2-3 mins walk away from the Bars. Attractions, cafes, shops, and amazing food are all within walking distance, which made exploring incredibly easy and stress-free. From check-in to check-out, the entire stay felt completely worry-free.
Service – warm, genuine, and unforgettable
The biggest highlight of this guesthouse is without a doubt the host. The lady boss is unbelievably friendly, considerate, and welcoming. She is super nice, enthusiastic, and very meticulous in everything she does. From contacting me in advance, patiently explaining routes, to sharing travel tips and local suggestions, she made me feel taken care of even before I arrived. Staying here truly felt like coming home rather than staying at a guesthouse.
What made this stay truly special was the personal connection. She even invited me to join a barbecue with her and her friends. We had drinks, chatted late into the night, and shared stories about our cultures, life views, and experiences. Even though I only stayed for two nights, that evening made my time in Dali unforgettable. I felt incredibly lucky to have arrived back just in time for the barbecue.
The Bai Jiu, the Yi Zu-style barbecue pork, and the homemade dumplings she made were all fantastic. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm, and full of laughter. Even small details were fun, like the pot cover shaped like the Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy, which gave us a good laugh. It was one of those nights you don’t plan for, but it’s the highlight of the trip that you will remember for a long time. 😎
Room & Sleep Quality – quiet, comfortable, and well designed
The room itself was quiet and very comfortable, with good sound insulation and a thoughtful renovation design that blends modern comfort with traditional charm. The bedding was clean and high quality, and the bathroom was spotless and well equipped. I slept extremely well every night. The entire guesthouse is beautifully designed, cozy, and relaxing, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring.
Value – exquisite and worth every penny
This is a highly cost-effective and exquisite accommodation. You can see the attention to detail everywhere, from the design to the service. It perfectly balances the charm of the ancient town with modern convenience. It’s absolutely worth experiencing, and I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next trip.
Final thoughts
I returned home a few days ago, but when I think back on my trip to Yunnan, Dali still stands out as the most chill and relaxing place and Meishan Guesthouse is a big reason why. The friendly host, the warm atmosphere, and the meaningful conversations made this stay truly special.
If I could give 11 stars, I would. Hands down one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Highly, highly recommended. Will definitely be back!!!

AAnonymous UserNorthern winter is too cold to come to Yunnan for winter! A little unexpected joy is that the sun here is so good. Every day, the sun can be warm. Here, I really sleep in the sun. The butt is hehe~ This room is very quiet and suitable for people who are afraid of noise and insomnia. I sleep very well haha~ The environment is fresh and simple. style, Health is great and the service is very thoughtful! Blessed are people who love strawberries. There are many strawberry gardens near their home. It is a sunny place. Strawberries are super sweet! Next time the seafood comes to change the season to feel a different scenery!

The owner is incredibly thoughtful; they offer a pick-up service, and even reimbursed our taxi fare when we arrived. On the second morning, they brought breakfast directly to our room at 10 AM since we hadn't gotten up yet. We enjoyed breakfast in the room while watching squirrels hopping outside – the environment is truly wonderful. The owner also runs a tea business and even gave us some tea as a souvenir when we left. They truly made us feel at home.

The facilities are high-end, the room is very well equipped, the large floor-to-ceiling windows have a wide view, and the bathtub is simply enjoyable to watch the sunset. The environment is beautiful, the courtyard flowers and plants are scattered, and the sea view terrace is a blockbuster. The service is super intimate, the butler is warm and thoughtful, free luggage pick-up and drop-off, and fruit is also delivered. The hygiene is impeccable, the bedding is clean and soft, the daily deep cleaning, and even the corners are spotless. Definitely the first choice for a holiday on the Erhai Sea!
