AAnonymous UserThe B&B was super clean and comfortable, the room was spacious, and it felt just like home – so cozy! The owner was also incredibly warm and attentive. They even showed us how to rent an electric scooter to explore the ancient city, which was super convenient. Dali Ancient City is right across the street. We also found lots of local snacks at Sanyue Street. There's even a washing machine available upstairs for laundry. And the best part? We had a view of the snowy mountains from our room. Basically, if you're not planning on going to the eastern route, you don't need to hire a private car; an electric scooter is enough. If you're planning on driving yourself, remember to apply for an international driving permit in advance.

GGuest UserThis guesthouse is located in Dali Old Town, offering a peaceful retreat despite being close to all the action. It's also super convenient for getting to other attractions by taxi. The owner seems to be a local, and since it was my parents' first time in Dali, they gave us tons of really helpful travel tips. My parents and I felt very comfortable and at ease staying here. I highly recommend it to everyone!

GGuest UserThe B&B was spotless and well-maintained with excellent facilities. The environment was beautiful, and the rooftop terrace offered stunning views of the Cangshan sunrise and sunset, overlooking the ancient city – truly delightful. The room was bathed in warm sunlight, and enjoying tea while gazing at the ancient city from the bay window was a real treat. The owners were incredibly kind, warm, and genuine, always ready to help with any request. They gave us practical tips and food recommendations that didn't disappoint. There's also a very friendly dog named Wangcai and two adorable cats. When we left, they even helped us with our checked luggage, showing genuine care for their guests. I'll definitely recommend this place to friends and will choose it again if I ever return. I'm currently in a Lijiang B&B, unable to sleep, and the contrast makes me miss that place even more – it had a special kind of warmth.

AAnonymous UserThanks to the owner for the room upgrade! The room was very clean and spacious. Stepping out, you're right by Erhai Lake, and you can even watch the sunrise from your bed in the morning. The homestay's service is excellent; they'll pick you up nearby and help with your luggage. They have a limited number of rooms, but you can drop off your bags before check-in. Breakfast is included, and when I stayed, it was either rice noodles or 'er si' (a local noodle dish). Note: The homestay will contact you before arrival to send you the pick-up spot and location, as you might not find it just by searching on a map.

GGuest UserThe owner was incredibly welcoming and kind. They even picked us up from the bus station and took us to the guesthouse. Our room was spotless and fresh, with no unpleasant smells. The first floor of the guesthouse is absolutely beautiful! 😍 And the rooftop patio is amazing – you can relax on the swing, gaze at Cangshan Mountain in the distance, and admire the old town. It's incredibly peaceful and relaxing! I highly recommend booking here! It's super close to the South Gate of the old town, which is perfect for an evening stroll and experiencing the night market. Overall, a fantastic experience!

RRubyT.nzsgI booked this place after reading the reviews about the above and beyond service, and the connection that guests were able to make with the owner of the accommodation. When there are hundreds of hotels to choose from, I value getting to know the humans behind a business. Unfortunately during my stay the main owner whom the reviews refer to, was away. The staff that was in place was helpful, but I felt gave me the one simplest solution to any question I had, rather than the best possible solution, or even options, for what I needed help with. I probably had an anomaly of an experience. The room was spacious and fairly clean. There was a bathroom window in the room that had no blinds or curtains, and the courtyard lights would stream into the room past 10pm, which meant that the room was not completely dark. I included a photo - the light is a lot more obvious and pervasive in a dark room. I had to sleep with an eye mask on, which thankfully, I had. I would suggest to the owners to put a curtain or some blinds up in the bathroom window. I would still recommend this hotel for its quiet location and proximity to the ancient city (8-10yuan Didi ride). Hopefully you'll have the lady boss around during your stay.

--atahuolan-Had a wonderful week in Dali.
The hostel had such a great vibe, and the courtyard was so cozy. There were so many adorable cats – I absolutely loved them! Now I have to head back, and I'm so reluctant to leave. I've practically been crying all day 😭.
I also made some friends and created so many wonderful memories... Wandering around Dali with my roommates, and even celebrated a birthday with a foreign friend I met. Saying goodbye was also very emotional 😢. Until we meet again, my friends!
I hope we can all live our lives the way we truly love.
I'll definitely be back.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel was in a very convenient and prime location just at the entrance of Dali Ancient City. There are a lot of food options and convenience stores just right outside the hotel both during the day and at night.
The service was inpeccable, with the hotel owner helping to carry my luggage to my room or to the car, or to help me with transport arrangements etc. The room was also clean and cosy, with all the listed amenities. Would recommend for sure!

MM2cfmi0xv****The room was absolutely gorgeous! I booked a high-floor ocean view room with unobstructed views. The room was very comfortable. I booked this place because I needed to catch the high-speed train. It's less than 2 kilometers from the train station, so taxis are very convenient. There are also many places to eat; a food street is just 400 meters away with a wide variety of choices. The receptionist was incredibly welcoming and gave us complimentary welcome snacks and Dali-style flower cakes. The breakfast rice noodles were also excellent and tasted delicious. There's a viewing platform upstairs with stunning views. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would definitely stay here again next time.
