SSaraphines-viviThe style is incredibly unique, blending a Chinese foundation with a touch of Japanese Zen. It has the structure of traditional Chinese architecture with its white walls and grey tiles, but then you see dry landscape gardens, bamboo fences, and those exceptionally clean lines, all hinting at a Wabi-sabi aesthetic. The two styles are combined seamlessly, not at all forced. Every step reveals a new view, and every corner is perfect for photos. The butler service is very attentive. They'll greet you with a smile, help with your luggage, and recommend small local eateries that residents love, not just offer cold, impersonal politeness. After a tiring day out, coming back to sit in the courtyard with a cup of tea, the rustling of the wind through the trees is more soothing than any music. 【Dali Yueshanhai Banshan Villa Luxury Hotel】 📍 Location: Dali Ancient City Yueshanhai Banshan Villa Luxury Hotel ✨ Highlights: Cangshan Mountain viewing platform | Five-star hotel | Sky Mirror | Smart home | Private car transfers 🌱 Facilities: Hotel tea room, lounge, reading bar, garden, heated swimming pool, coffee bar, etc. 🌄 Tip: The sea of clouds over Cangshan Mountain at sunrise is the hotel's exclusive morning ritual.

AAzhendema? Our butler, Rou Rou, was truly a lifesaver! We had pre-booked airport pickup, and after landing, we met up seamlessly. The moment we arrived at the hotel entrance, Rou Rou immediately jogged out to help with our luggage, not letting us lift a finger the entire time. The service was incredibly thoughtful! Even more delightful, when we returned to our room in the evening, they had thoughtfully prepared warm milk for us. Drinking that comforting milk melted away all the day's fatigue. And the hotel garden is an absolute treasure—filled entirely with succulents! Every photo taken there looks stunning, it felt like living inside a picturesque painting! Next time I visit Dali, I'm definitely choosing Luchun Garden again, and I'll specifically request Rou Rou's service!

MM336290****The hotel's location is excellent and very quiet. Since it was the off-season, the front desk upgraded us to a 270-degree sea-view room with a balcony, where we could even feed the seagulls right from our room! The room setup was very thoughtful, with amenities like steam eye masks and facial towels provided. The complimentary travel photography service was fantastic; they had various beautiful dresses available for free, and the photographer was efficient with shooting and editing, making the photos look like professional portraits. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend staying here.

ZZhuozhuangchengzhangdeguziThe room was as excellent as ever. Having just come from a fantastic stay at Anyu Hotel in Lijiang, I had no hesitation in choosing Anyu again for my visit to Dali. Dali Anyu is nestled within the ancient city, offering convenient access to transportation. The entire hotel beautifully captures the essence of Dali, providing a serene, welcoming, and high-end atmosphere. Though not large, this charming three-story wooden hotel exudes a strong retro and ethnic vibe. Staying here felt incredibly peaceful, immediately shielding us from the ancient city's hustle and bustle. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive. Upon my arrival, I initially had trouble finding the entrance, but a staff member promptly came out to greet me, helped carry my luggage directly to the room, and even presented a lovely welcome tea ceremony. Every member of the Anyu team, from the dedicated butler to the general service staff, greeted us with warm smiles and soft-spoken kindness. Their hospitality made us feel truly cherished, as if we were guests in our own home. Inside the room, the amenities had a charming retro design, complemented by high-end, incredibly comfortable bedding that invited immediate sleep. The toiletries were top-notch, alongside a Dyson hairdryer, premium mineral water, and an exquisite laundry service. In the evenings, they thoughtfully provided Tremella soup, known for its calming properties. Every detail contributed to a truly warm and cozy stay. A charming, distinctive touch was the room key – a long-handled, retro-style key. Room cleanliness was impeccable, far surpassing similar hotels; even the smallest crevices in the bathroom were spotless. Another highlight was the afternoon tea and breakfast. They were truly bespoke, freshly prepared upon order – absolutely no pre-made dishes or buffet lines. Everything was served individually, featuring fresh, unique, high-quality, hygienic, and delicious ingredients. I was even delighted to find sea cucumber on the menu! Upon departure, all the Anyu staff came out to bid me a warm farewell – a truly wonderful and memorable gesture. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit!

AAnonymous User1. **Check-in Area:** The check-in counter, or front desk, was quite shabby. The computer keyboard was practically caked in grime, and don't even get me started on the sofa next to it – it looked very unhygienic. 2. **Dining:** The breakfast area was a bit cramped, with just four small tables by the street. If you're a party of more than two, you'd have to sit separately, or you might even have to stand and wait for a table. The coffee, however, was good. I only had breakfast once: a cold quinoa salad (see Photo 6) served with bread that had an overpowering artificial creamer flavor. I had been looking forward to the rice noodles for the next day, but serving didn't start until 8:30 AM, which was far too late for my rumbling stomach. Early risers and those who prefer hot meals should seriously consider other options or make alternative arrangements. 3. **Room (2nd floor) - Noise Issues:** Don't even think about getting any sleep at night. After 11 PM, there was still noise along the street, along with the clanging of the garbage truck. (Seriously, I'd strongly advise against staying in the Old Town.) The next day, it started pouring before dawn, and the sound of the heavy rain kept me awake as well. 4. **Room - Facility Issues:** The room I stayed in was supposedly the quietest in the entire hotel. It featured a large bathtub and a bathroom where the toilet and shower area lacked wet/dry separation. Unable to deal with the wet floor, I decided to shower in the bathtub. That's when I discovered Problem #1: the glass partition was completely transparent, with no curtain or frosted glass. The staff member claimed this was 'design.' Then came Fatal Problem #2: the bathtub had no running water, haha! 😄 5. **Room - Odor Issues:** Upon entering, there was a strong musty smell. The staff claimed it was due to 'raw wood,' but it's been 8 years and it still smells like that? Quite amusing. 6. **Staff (Pre-Check-in):** Before I even checked in, they asked me to cancel my booking on the platform and pay them privately for a discounted rate. I have this in writing. This is definitely a huge red flag, and I'm surprised they even dared to suggest it. 7. **Staff (General):** The individuals themselves were nice enough, but I was surprised to find that all the 'Jixiashan' staff were quite young, without uniforms, and seemingly without direct supervision, which gave a very disorganized and casual impression. 8. **Housekeeping:** I was quite satisfied with the housekeeping. Seeing the clean duvet and towels gave me peace of mind (P.S. the pillows were also comfortable). The hotel's facilities are very old; no matter how clean the bathroom tiles were, they still looked run-down, compounded by the dim lighting. Therefore, I feel the housekeeping staff here really have a tough job. 9. **Building Structure:** One morning, during a heavy downpour, when I opened my 2nd-floor room door, the entrance was essentially flooded up to my heels. It was quite a feat that the water didn't spread into the room. At night, there were no lights, so I had to grope my way back to the room along the dark corridor. It would be quite difficult for someone who doesn't remember their way (see Photos 1-2). 10. **Hotel Amenities:** One night, I heard the guest next door return, unable to open their door with the key, and had to call a staff member for help. They chatted for a bit outside the door before the staff member finally told the guest a 'trick': 'The key needs to be inserted a certain way, and the lock has a particular mechanism...' That's quite a struggle – needing a special technique just to get back to your room! 11. **Minor Details:** The room key had a very large, bulky leather tag attached to it. Absolutely no consideration for travelers on long journeys with limited luggage space. Who would want to carry such a bulky thing around? I originally had high hopes for the 'Jixiashan' brand. When I was in Shangri-La, I heard their Meili store had a collaboration with Kolon, which made me think they had good taste. This Dali Ancient City location is their first store, but it turned out to be such a low standard. Given the daily rate, I guess I understand why. This particular store cannot be found on 'Jixiashan's' mini-program; it's categorized under 'Wang Shenme Chuan Qu Le'.

2206277****This hidden gem of a manor is a must-stay when visiting Dali! Tucked away at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, its unique charm comes from the fusion of traditional Bai architecture and Huizhou-style gardens. A stream winds through the property, surrounded by lush greenery and blooming flowers. Every photo you take captures a poetic, tranquil, and healing scene. The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable, featuring a rustic wooden design with tie-dye accents that exude Dali's local flair. The amenities are comprehensive and high-end. The private hot spring rooms allow you to soak while enjoying mountain views, which is especially delightful at night. The service is incredibly warm and thoughtful! The butler provides attentive and thorough assistance throughout your stay, responding to requests 24/7. They even customize exclusive travel itineraries, perfectly arranging even niche experiences. The fresh flower welcome and thoughtful touches make you feel truly at home. The food is absolutely amazing! Breakfast offers a delightful mix of Chinese and Western dishes, with authentic Yunnan specialties like Crossing-the-Bridge Noodles and flower cakes. The mushroom hot pot for dinner is incredibly fresh and delicious, using only the finest local ingredients. Dining in the 5D holographic restaurant is an added surprise and a wonderful experience. With its exceptional environment, service, and cuisine, this is undoubtedly the best choice for a stay in Dali. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

KKatherineliewtanWe stayed at Lishe seaview resort hotel for 2 nights. The hotel upgraded us to a two-room apartment which I did not expect! The apartment had spectacular view of Erhai in the living room and master bedroom. I had the foresight of having one free and easy day and we pretty much stayed in most of the time to soak in the view. The staff service was amazing. The team reached out to me via trip.com the day before we check in (fantastic initiative) as overseas visitors like me are not familiar with the WeChat usage. When we arrive, the staff were on standby to receive us and bring us to the apartment as we got there via our own driver. The hotel sent nightly desert (white fungus) to our apartment. One important aspect of the hotel is the delicious and wide spread of breakfast. The breaky was on the highest floor offering great views of Erhai, and the lady attendant there was polite, cheerful and has great service. When we checked, the hotel staff came to the apartment and send us to the car. They also presented a farewell bag of goodies - including rose Chinese cakes (which were super delicious!), tea and sweets. It was an awfully thoughtful gesture. I had the rose Chinese cake during breaky and loved them. So I was super happy to find them in the farewell gift. I would strongly recommend a stay here if you are in Dali. Fellow Singaporeans- you would love this place! I think even if I did not get the upgrade, I would have loved the view too. Just keep one day of doing nothing and enjoy the beautiful view and the hotel hospitality. The hotel staff were service oriented, always smiling, polite and helpful. I mean every staff we encountered, even the cleaning staff! This hotel was a great highlight of our Dali stay. I would definitely come back to stay at Lishe when next back to Dali.

TTiansanshijiushiwoyaThis is my fifth time vacationing in Dali, and it's been a really busy year. Dali is such a relaxing city. I stayed at the Jupiter Castle Hotel once before, right after it opened, and it left a deep impression. So I returned to Wenbi Village. Compared to a few years ago, Wenbi Village's commercial offerings are much more developed, and this hotel's service is even more meticulous. The overall aesthetic is perfect for photos. My room booking included complimentary pick-up service from Dali Airport, taking me directly to the hotel. The butler kept in touch throughout my stay. That very evening, I saw a 'burning cloud' sunset, which hadn't appeared for many days. The next morning, I witnessed the rare sight of the sun illuminating Cangshan Mountain. Wenbi Village is situated at an elevation that offers a panoramic view of Cangshan and Erhai Lake, arguably one of the best locations. Although it's been open for three or four years, the hotel is very well-maintained. The mini-fridge was stocked with many complimentary items, including face masks, jellies, and drinks, all free to enjoy. The hygiene was impeccable, and the overall environment was fantastic. Just staying in the room, curled up on the sofa, with the warm sunlight streaming in and bathing me, instantly made all the stress and exhaustion from work disappear. Thank you, Dali, and thank you, Jupiter Castle, for making this trip so perfect. I'll definitely stay here again next time I get the chance!

GGuest UserClouds Villa is absolutely incredible. After staying in the heart of Lijiang’s Ancient City, it was refreshing to be up in the mountains here—peaceful, scenic, and really fresh air—but still only about a 10-minute Didi ride into Dali Ancient Town when we wanted cobbled streets, fried cheese, rose cakes, and all the amazing food. We came here for our honeymoon and booked a hot spring villa, and to our surprise, we were upgraded to an even larger villa. The staff also surprised us with a bottle of red wine and a delicious cream cake—a really thoughtful touch that made our stay feel special. The hot spring itself was perfect. After a day of walking the Ancient City or biking around Erhai Lake, relaxing in the steaming water was heavenly. The villa’s private yard was beautifully designed and made for the perfect chill spot. The whole resort is landscaped with care—gardens, ponds, and mountain views everywhere you turn. The breakfast buffet was delicious and varied—plenty of choices to start the day right. It was all so nice that we extended our stay by a couple of days because we just didn’t want to leave. Another highlight is the location right next to the Chongsheng Temple complex. The temples are stunning and absolutely worth a visit, and at night you can even hear the bells ringing, which adds a magical vibe to the stay. All in all, Clouds Villa was everything we could have hoped for and more. I honestly wish I could live there forever.

11381145****We booked the Duchamp room this time, traveling with seniors and children. There's a corridor outside the balcony, and the room is on the first floor. Plus, there's a bar right next to the hotel with a live singer performing until past 11 PM. If you're sensitive to noise or need a quiet sleeping environment, I wouldn't recommend this room type. However, the scenery in Dali is absolutely stunning. As the saying goes, 'Cangshan is a masterpiece painted without ink, Erhai is an ancient zither played without strings,' truly unforgettable. Everything else was excellent, especially the butler service. They were very attentive and helped us resolve any issues we encountered. The afternoon tea and late-night sweet soup were also lovely. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation and would definitely come back to experience the charm of Dali and immerse ourselves in the local culture again if we get the chance.
