__WeChat520040****The service attitude is good, but that's different from actually delivering good service. This hotel's price is high compared to others nearby. While the staff's attitude is great, the service and management are subpar. There's an exaggerated, showy facade, but basic services aren't done well, yet they proudly claim to be a branded hotel. 1. First, the butler service. Upon check-in, I was told there'd be afternoon tea and that I needed a voucher to redeem it in the common area. Some other hotels even deliver to your room and ask your preferred time, but here, when afternoon tea time arrived, the butler didn't even send a WeChat reminder. So, I missed it—my bad, I accept that. 2. So I went to the common area on the third floor, hoping for some snacks. They state it's open until 9 PM, but I arrived at 6 PM. The area was empty, no plates or cutlery replenished, the coffee machine was off, no hot tea, and the fruit bowls were almost empty with only one or two pieces left. I contacted the hotel, and a very kind staff member eventually brought me some items, but it really felt like no one was in charge. 3. What really highlighted the chaotic management was breakfast. The night before, they asked for my dining time the next day, stating it was to manage and arrange guest flow. Yet, when I arrived the next day, there were no seats! I ended up sharing a table with strangers. So what was the point of pre-arranging and managing? It would have been better not to ask; guests might have felt better and wouldn't have had to wake up at a specific time for breakfast. Besides me, there was another group of guests standing and waiting too. The hotel said some other guests didn't adhere to their times, so they were seated. Are punctual guests being punished? If they can't even manage and communicate something like this effectively, what exactly is the hotel's 'guest flow management'? 4. After arriving at the breakfast area, there was no introduction to what was available, what was self-service, or if tea and coffee were self-serve. Essentially, I was just left to my own devices by the so-called 'butler'. At the self-service area, I found two dishes were empty, the hot milk wasn't hot, and the hot tea was cold. Guests at the next table also complained that their different kind of tea was cold. 5. They brought out a pile of breakfast items in a rush, without explaining what anything was. What's the point of serving abalone? It's all just for show. Piling the table full seems to be their idea of completing the task. 6. Regarding the facilities, the room door lock was an old-fashioned key, very difficult to open. After entering the room, to lock the door, you have to use the key again from the inside! Every time I handled that key, my hands smelled metallic, and the fabric charm on it was dirty and disgusting. 7. The soundproofing is terrible, a common issue with old buildings. 8. Many items in the room were labeled 'Not for Gifting,' which felt very uncomfortable. It implies guests might steal things. It's not like this is a super high-end hotel or the items are particularly luxurious. Even the slippers were labeled. I've stayed in many top-tier hotels costing tens of thousands a night worldwide, and none were like this. Guests who can afford over a thousand a night probably aren't going to steal things. I really didn't experience any 'butler service.' Was I managing them, or were they my butlers? This all points to fundamental issues in the hotel's management and staff training. I will not consider staying at any other hotels of this brand in the future.

11351095****Facing Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain, the hotel offers expansive views of the city. Every day, from 7:40 AM to 8:20 AM, you can enjoy the stunning 'Golden Summit' sunrise over Cangshan from the large balcony in your room. All guest rooms are spacious 224-square-meter suites, ensuring an exceptionally comfortable stay. The complimentary Bentley pick-up and drop-off service to and from Dali Station was a pleasant surprise. Although it's a guesthouse, the service quality is top-notch, with all staff members providing warm and attentive service. The butler checked in with us daily, making us feel right at home. The rooms are incredibly clean and fully equipped, and the toiletries are of high quality. Dali Lish House is highly recommended for families and friends traveling together!

MM461387****The LUCHUN Garden Hotel is fantastic! The environment is clean and well-maintained, and the rooms are spacious and bright. The bedding is soft and comfortable. The succulents in the garden courtyard are thriving, and enjoying tea or coffee there is truly relaxing. Breakfast is also excellent; the freshly cooked mushroom rice noodles are delicious, and the wontons with mushroom broth offer a unique flavor. There's a wide variety of options too. Butler Chuyi was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. After booking, they contacted me promptly and added me on WeChat, answering all my questions and responding to every request. Everyone's service was so considerate; they helped with luggage, breakfast could be delivered to the room, and there was even bedtime milk in the evening. The only downside was the shuttle drivers, especially the one with license plate 99801, who kept pushing for private car tours and tried to get customers to add them on WeChat. Also, many drivers smoked right by the entrance and weren't in uniform, which affected the hotel's image and was a stark contrast to the other staff. Aside from this one point, the rest of the service was truly, truly excellent. I'll definitely stay here again!

YYeY828Environment: The surroundings are absolutely stunning. It's a waterfront guesthouse, and the moment you step out, you're right by Erhai Lake. Service: After arriving at the South Gate entrance, they come to pick up your luggage. Upon arrival, you're offered juice, and the lemonade is particularly delicious. The complimentary travel photoshoot includes free outfit selection, and the photos are ready quickly. Cleanliness: It's clean and fresh, with all the essentials provided, including a smart toilet, speaker, and bathtub 🛁. Exquisite Sea View Afternoon Tea: The afternoon tea portions are very generous. Goodnight Sweet Soup: Had the goodnight sweet soup, it was hot and very tasty. Complimentary Minibar: Water and drinks are available, along with potato chips. Dali Double-Corridor is beautiful, and Tinghua Island is equally enchanting.

HHappy Traveller♥️I had a very pleasant and relaxing stay at Aranya! The personal butler service by 管家阿军 was truly exceptional. He and his team were warm, thoughtful, and attentive to every little detail — making sure all my requests were taken care of with care and efficiency. The view of my room is breathtaking! Room is clean & super comfy. To top it off, they even surprised us with a beautifully prepared cake. Such heartfelt touches made the whole experience feel extra special. Thank you, Aranya, for the wonderful hospitality!

AAnonymous User1. **Check-in Area:** The check-in counter, or front desk, was quite shabby. The computer keyboard was practically caked in grime, and don't even get me started on the sofa next to it – it looked very unhygienic. 2. **Dining:** The breakfast area was a bit cramped, with just four small tables by the street. If you're a party of more than two, you'd have to sit separately, or you might even have to stand and wait for a table. The coffee, however, was good. I only had breakfast once: a cold quinoa salad (see Photo 6) served with bread that had an overpowering artificial creamer flavor. I had been looking forward to the rice noodles for the next day, but serving didn't start until 8:30 AM, which was far too late for my rumbling stomach. Early risers and those who prefer hot meals should seriously consider other options or make alternative arrangements. 3. **Room (2nd floor) - Noise Issues:** Don't even think about getting any sleep at night. After 11 PM, there was still noise along the street, along with the clanging of the garbage truck. (Seriously, I'd strongly advise against staying in the Old Town.) The next day, it started pouring before dawn, and the sound of the heavy rain kept me awake as well. 4. **Room - Facility Issues:** The room I stayed in was supposedly the quietest in the entire hotel. It featured a large bathtub and a bathroom where the toilet and shower area lacked wet/dry separation. Unable to deal with the wet floor, I decided to shower in the bathtub. That's when I discovered Problem #1: the glass partition was completely transparent, with no curtain or frosted glass. The staff member claimed this was 'design.' Then came Fatal Problem #2: the bathtub had no running water, haha! 😄 5. **Room - Odor Issues:** Upon entering, there was a strong musty smell. The staff claimed it was due to 'raw wood,' but it's been 8 years and it still smells like that? Quite amusing. 6. **Staff (Pre-Check-in):** Before I even checked in, they asked me to cancel my booking on the platform and pay them privately for a discounted rate. I have this in writing. This is definitely a huge red flag, and I'm surprised they even dared to suggest it. 7. **Staff (General):** The individuals themselves were nice enough, but I was surprised to find that all the 'Jixiashan' staff were quite young, without uniforms, and seemingly without direct supervision, which gave a very disorganized and casual impression. 8. **Housekeeping:** I was quite satisfied with the housekeeping. Seeing the clean duvet and towels gave me peace of mind (P.S. the pillows were also comfortable). The hotel's facilities are very old; no matter how clean the bathroom tiles were, they still looked run-down, compounded by the dim lighting. Therefore, I feel the housekeeping staff here really have a tough job. 9. **Building Structure:** One morning, during a heavy downpour, when I opened my 2nd-floor room door, the entrance was essentially flooded up to my heels. It was quite a feat that the water didn't spread into the room. At night, there were no lights, so I had to grope my way back to the room along the dark corridor. It would be quite difficult for someone who doesn't remember their way (see Photos 1-2). 10. **Hotel Amenities:** One night, I heard the guest next door return, unable to open their door with the key, and had to call a staff member for help. They chatted for a bit outside the door before the staff member finally told the guest a 'trick': 'The key needs to be inserted a certain way, and the lock has a particular mechanism...' That's quite a struggle – needing a special technique just to get back to your room! 11. **Minor Details:** The room key had a very large, bulky leather tag attached to it. Absolutely no consideration for travelers on long journeys with limited luggage space. Who would want to carry such a bulky thing around? I originally had high hopes for the 'Jixiashan' brand. When I was in Shangri-La, I heard their Meili store had a collaboration with Kolon, which made me think they had good taste. This Dali Ancient City location is their first store, but it turned out to be such a low standard. Given the daily rate, I guess I understand why. This particular store cannot be found on 'Jixiashan's' mini-program; it's categorized under 'Wang Shenme Chuan Qu Le'.

GGuest UserThis hotel exceeded all my expectations and truly elevated my entire trip. First off, the decor is stunning – it feels like a secluded estate nestled between Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake. It's perfect for travel photography, so if you're into that, definitely come prepared. I hadn't originally planned on a photoshoot, but the setting was so beautiful I decided to go for it. To my surprise, the photographer was incredibly professional, and the photos turned out amazing! Then there's the natural scenery. Waking up every day to the picturesque views of Cangshan and Erhai was breathtaking; it truly made me want to stay forever. This season also brings seagulls, and you can see many of them playing around Erhai Lake every morning between 9 and 10 AM. In the evenings, a crescent moon hangs in the serene night sky, accompanied by twinkling stars. Next, the service: it’s truly attentive, like having a personal butler. From the moment you step into the estate, you feel constantly looked after. The facilities are also excellent, with several thoughtful details I really appreciated. For example, the facial tissues by the sink are soft cotton wipes, the hairdryer is a Dyson, and the mini-fridge is stocked with snacks and face masks. Finally, let's talk about the dining. While breakfast isn't a buffet, the individual set meal each morning is fantastic, featuring a local specialty main dish, whole grains, fruit, and either black tea or coffee. In the afternoon, there's afternoon tea, and in the evening, a sweet soup is delivered to your room – a truly heartwarming touch.

AAnonymous UserDali Acateale Seaview Resort: Living with Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake in your daily life. Most of the happiness from my trip to Dali was thanks to this hotel! Choosing the right accommodation really doubles the quality of your trip, and Acateale Seaview Resort completely exceeded my expectations. I'm already missing the days surrounded by mountains and sea. The location is simply divine! It's right in Shuanglang Ancient Town, just a few minutes' walk from Erhai Lake, and not far from Yang Liping's Sun Palace and Moon Palace. You can embrace the tranquility of Erhai Lake and dive into the bustling life of the ancient town anytime. The best part is the view; whether you're lying in bed, soaking in the tub, or relaxing on the terrace, a glance reveals the sparkling lake. The sunset glow on the water is so beautiful it leaves you speechless. The room details are full of thoughtful touches. The bedding is so soft it feels like sinking into clouds, and modern amenities like smart projectors and smart toilets are all available. We stayed in the Stargazing Seaview Room, where we could listen to the sound of waves and watch the stars at night, accompanied by the Erhai nightscape, completely washing away our travel fatigue. The public areas are also a hidden gem. The observation deck, not open to the public, is quiet and uncrowded. Sitting on the sofa with a cup of coffee, watching the light dance on the water, even daydreaming becomes a pleasure. When I left, all I could think was, 'I must come again next time.' This is probably the best endorsement a hotel can get!

AAnonymous UserThis hotel offers villa-style rooms with a resort feel. The front desk staff provide excellent service. Unlike branded hotels, the hospitality industry in Dali can be inconsistent, with many being guesthouses. In contrast, the staff here are very professionally trained, and the price is incredibly affordable. The room style is reminiscent of a hot spring resort, and all the smart devices and appliances are from reputable brands.
