WWangtiaotiaoSo glad we booked this place instead of one of those family-friendly B&Bs in the village. The facilities are so much better! We even got a free upgrade to the 'Cloud' room. Waking up to such a stunning view every day was a treat, and soaking in the large bathtub while enjoying the scenery was incredibly relaxing! The location is also fantastic – much quieter than S Bay. We could easily stroll around or rent an electric scooter downstairs, and it's super close to Yasheng Coffee. The breakfast spread was generous. They also have a kids' room with building blocks, a mini slide, and picture books, which was perfect for our two-year-old; he didn't want to leave. Plus, even when it rained, we could still have fun by the pool.

GGuest UserI finally stayed at this beautiful B&B that I've been eyeing for a while. The ecological environment in Haixi is fantastic, and it's not as crowded or commercialized as other places like Dali Ancient City or Shuanglang. It's incredibly laid-back, and I felt relaxed the moment I checked in, ready for my vacation ⛱️.
Even though I did my research beforehand, I was still blown away when I opened the door. The room has huge floor-to-ceiling windows, offering stunning views of Erhai Lake and the springtime trees outside. It's definitely a must-stay when you're in Dali.
The staff here are so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is really delicious and plentiful, and they even prepare beautifully presented afternoon tea. Apparently, you can also order some nice cocktails from the coffee shop downstairs in the evening. I'll definitely be recommending this place to my family and friends!

AAlexxxx7While Dali boasts a mature scene for B&Bs and boutique hotels, I opted for a chain hotel this time. Pullman is considered one of Dali's flagship hotels (I initially wanted to try the newly opened Dali EDITION, but it wasn't open yet). Overall, the attention to detail was excellent. The hotel is located downtown, right by the濱海大道 (Binhai Avenue), with plenty of dining options nearby. For around 1000 RMB, it includes a mini-bar (though with limited selections) and turndown service. The showerhead faces the wall, which was a nice touch. It also offers free parking and direct elevator access to the lobby – these small details really stood out. Of course, there were a few minor downsides: the bathroom scale needed new batteries, and while breakfast was varied and tasty, there was no host to seat guests. Overall, though, it was very well done. A special mention goes to our butler, Coco, who was incredibly gentle and attentive, and promptly resolved any issues we had. This was a truly memorable trip… I haven't left a review in a long time, but I wanted to share my experience right away.

GGuest UserOn my first day in Dali, I checked into the Yueshanhai Hotel, nestled in the mountains near the ancient city. With a gentle drizzle and fresh air, a stroll through the garden was utterly delightful.
The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, restaurant, cafe, bar, book bar, and even billiards. On the third floor of Building 1, you'll find the Akashima Seaview Bar and the Seaview Book Bar, offering stunning views of the mountains and Erhai Lake. Don't forget to wake up early to catch the sunrise!
The guest rooms are spacious and bright, with comfortable bedding. The Herbal toiletries and bathtub for a relaxing soak after a long day of exploring are absolutely wonderful!
Breakfast, served on the first floor of Building 2 at the Baini Restaurant, offers a rich variety of Chinese and Western options. The rice noodles with braised pork and Weishan stewed pork are incredibly fragrant and delicious!

GGuest UserDali is a beautiful city, and I had a fantastic stay at the Hampton by Hilton Dali Erhai during my trip. First off, the location is excellent. A short walk north takes you to Erhaiyue Wetland Park, and a leisurely stroll south leads to Xingsheng Bridge, the nearby Suoshui Pavilion, and Erhe Park – all popular spots for both locals and tourists to relax and take photos. The scenery is stunning with blue skies, white clouds, and lush green mountains, and the water is dotted with boats. Transportation is also very convenient.
What truly stood out was the hotel's service: warm, friendly, proactive, and thoughtful. The facilities are modern and well-equipped. They even have robots to deliver water and meals! Plus, there's complimentary afternoon tea with white fungus soup and a variety of beverages. The rooms are well-designed with plenty of outlets, hangers, a fridge, and a microwave, all conveniently placed and very practical to use. Breakfast was rich and diverse, with delicious milk and soy milk, and a full range of local specialties. Since it was the Dragon Boat Festival, the restaurant also offered various flavors of Zongzi, including ham and pineapple.
All in all, the Hampton by Hilton Dali Erhai offers excellent value for money and is highly commendable.

AAnonymous UserThe staff provided excellent service, she can speak some English, offering a free pick-up from Dali Station and helping us book a car for our departure. The location is ideal—within walking distance to the Old Town, plus there’s a free golf cart service. Erhai Lake is also just a short ride away.
As for the food, the breakfast is served as a set menu. And we loved the free afternoon tea, fruits, and coffee. The room itself was clean, spacious, fully stocked, and had a lovely mountain view. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to stay close to the Old Town!

GGuest UserThe hotel is very close to the ancient city, just a five-minute walk away, and it has free parking. When you arrive, you can enjoy the hotel's homemade flower cakes and walnuts – I'm really bummed I missed out on the hotel breakfast! The service was also very satisfying, and the room was large and beautiful. It's excellent value for money. I stayed here a few years ago and loved it so much that when I came back to Dali, I booked the same room type at the same hotel again! The only thing is the bamboo forest seemed smaller, maybe it was the wrong season. I'll definitely come back again to experience it.

GGuest UserThis inn gets a perfect score! The facilities are both modern and inviting, and the central air conditioning ensured a supremely comfortable stay. Rooms were spacious with expansive views, and the setting was private and tranquil. The courtyard design was exquisite, and the evening lighting was incredibly romantic. Service was incredibly attentive; from check-in to check-out, the staff were always smiling and ready to assist. They even helped us arrange transportation and book tickets. Cleanliness was exceptional; towels and bath towels were replaced daily, and everything was thoroughly sanitized, making our stay completely worry-free and reassuring. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Dali!
