Helvetia&Bristol Firenze – Starhotels Collezione

Florence Historic Center Florence|0.69km from San Barnaba, Florence
The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the train station. Because Florence SMN is in the old town, it is recommended to take a taxi if you push the box. Between 7 and 9 euros. Always check these hotel reviews, it is too long and too small. Patio room and more. I have to correct it here. First, the hotel belongs to the five-star hotel of LEADING Hotel. Second, the hotel house itself is a historic building. More than two hundred years of history. Third, the hotel was just renovated in 2019. At present, some rooms on Ctrip are not updated. Fourth, the hotel entrance is Lu, the door is Cartier, next to BV, Bulgari, GUCCI. Walk to Republic Square for two minutes. Go to the old bridge of Vignano for ten minutes. Great location. Fifth, the hotel service is really worthy of five stars. Always smile, funny, provide free drinks, the doorman will always take the baggage and send it directly to your room. And carefully introduce the surrounding environment and provide Chinese maps and introductions to Florence. Sixth, the decoration of the hotel is very tasteful. Of course, the paintings and statues seen in a building more than two hundred years old are antiques. And many hotels in Italy and even five-star hotels in Europe are small rooms in historic buildings. The current area in a Baroque building is really small. Eighth, the hotel is a back-shaped building, so the window in the middle room is called the “patio”. If you don’t like it, you should adjust it in advance. Ninth, the toiletries in the room are really luxurious. . And there are slippers and kettles that Chinese people like in the room. Tenth, the towels in the restrooms are all brand new cotton towels. I don't want the kind of towel that has been used for a long time. And the water pipe with a small detail hanging towel is a hot water pipe. It should be specially designed by the hotel. The hot water is very hot. If the clothes are hung on the top, it will be done the next day. The hotel has not made publicity. It will become the net red hotel in the future.

I've read some of the negative reviews and our experience was anything but negative. If your room is hot and the AC didn't work, that's very specific. It should have been addressed by the staff. I can't comment on specifics. I can say that it was hot while we were there and our room had good air flow and AC. And, the people here were outstanding. Anything we wanted they were willing to help us from getting tickets to getting a cab. If you haven't traveled in Europe don't expect large palatial rooms. In fact, most hotels in Europe offer small rooms with double beds. We had a king size bed. The only negative in regard to the room was that sleeping area was too small for a dresser, so you have to get creative with your clothes. But the hotel wasn't more than a 30 min walk to anywhere. Pitti Palace was the furthest we had to walk. We took a train to Pisa for a day. The train is 15 min away on foot, buses for tours 10 min and we took two tours, Uffizi 15 min, the Duomo 15 min, Galleria Dell Academia (David statue) a 5 min walk. My wife and I are seniors and I've had hip and knee surgery and we walked everywhere. We didn't need a cab except to go the airport to return to NC. AND that was arranged by a staff member of the hotel. We did not opt for the breakfast, because we are selective about breakfast food, but the hotel provided free expresso or cappuccino. Also, the provided free water during out stay.

Me and my Husband stayed here for 3 nights in January 2023 and have nothing negative to say about our stay. Clean, comfortably, friendly and welcoming and the location is incredible. It's a 5minute walk to the train station and 10minute walk to the Cathedral and main square. No hills so a very easy and comfortable walk. Beautiful place and amazing sights everywhere! The staff at the hotel were welcoming and friendly and the room was very clean and cleaned every day through our visit. The breakfast is continental with a decent selection of pastries, yoghurt, cereals, boiled eggs, ham and other meats plus cheese and some fruit. Something for everyone. And plenty of lovely coffee and cappuccino to order. We would highly recommend and would stay here again. THE ROOF TERRACE IS A BONUS AS THE VIEWS ARE AMAZING!!!

The location is very good, just near the train station, 10 minutes walk. The room is clean, the service is very good, and the life is very convenient. There are also many attractions to see nearby. Suitable for travel.

No matter how good the hotel location is, the surrounding environment will be ruined by the hotel's service. When I finished the breakfast checkout this morning, I deliberately took the time to get back my luggage today. As a result, we came back a few minutes earlier and were locked. Under the floor, there was no one in the hotel. The other guests opened the door and entered the hotel. How to knock on the door and how to make a call, no one opened the door, only to find that their phone was still in the hotel. . We also deliberately took the time to come back in the morning, and the pigeons were released at the crucial time. The trains after one hour were almost missed because they locked our luggage in the room! ! Finally, because we knocked on the door and loudly alarmed the administrator under the floor to help us open the door, asked him he did not know where the hotel owner went... If it was not the building manager, we will be cool because of their trip today.

We had such a lovely stay in this place. It is situated less than 10 minutes walk to S.M Novella train station and in the old city center, close to all the main attractions and sights. The place is located in an old building, the rooms were recently renovated, but in a classic way, extremely clean, with all the amenities included, very cosy and comfortable bed. Daniela is such a nice host, she provided very detailed all the steps for the self check-in as we arrived later, and we also received in the morning ‘a small kind of breakfast’, even though it was not included in our booking-just part of the house. :) Strongly recommend, will definitely book this place next time in Florence!

After the lockdown I was finally able to come back in Florence for a business trip. I have been several times in this hotel, so I already new what I was expecting. It was a warm and safe (Covid-19 measures compliant). The room was clean and tidy. Really good restaurants close by. And the last but not the least, the staff was very helpful and friendly.
