The Habsburg hotel in Harbin was an amazing experience from the time you arrive till the time you leave. The hotel has a European theme to it as soon as you walk in. The staff at the front desk are friendly always greeting you as you walk in and out. Most of the staff speak English and are accommodating to locals as well as foreigners. The room was immaculate and spacious, the beds were comfortable. The only issue we had was that the room was too hot and trying to adjust the temperature on the AC wasn’t working so we had to sleep with the windows opened the entire night. Other than that, on the first day of arrival they had complimentary snacks as well as vouchers to enjoy the full experience of a Russian high tea as well as a cocktail in the evening at the bar. This hotel met all the expectations and is an affordable hotel to stay at in Harbin. The location was perfect it was situated near the Songhua river cable car, Zhongyang street where you can enjoy local street food and near St Sophia cathedral. We also enjoyed lunch and breakfast at the hotel and the service was amazing the manager Jenny was welcoming, friendly and accommodating and made sure we were comfortable and served us well. Habsburg hotel is definitely a hotel I would recommend staying at when visiting Harbin.

We reached the hotel at 3AM the very early morning time with notice in advance. The checkin process is quick within lesser than 5mins. The property has the good location which is within walkable distance to the frequently visited attractions of the city. The time when we paid a visit to the city, beautiful lines of blossoms are blooming leading to the foremost satisfaction of staying here. Finally, the checkout is quick and sanitary staff also is friendly and helpful though there is language barrier but body language helped by the way. It’s recommended if you want to seek good property for stays during Harbin center.

We stayed at the hotel as a family of four for three nights. The check-in went quickly and smoothly. All our requests were met and we settled in right away with no issues. Our room was quiet (no street noise) with a great city-view facing the Main Street. The cleaning was usual. The supplies were refilled daily. Breakfast had Chinese and western-like options. All staff was friendly and welcoming. The check out was quick. The porter helped us with our luggage (a carry-on suitcase, tote bag, and stroller) and bid farewell. One thing that would make this stay a better experience is to have more control of the light in the room. One could only have all of it on or off, no bed light. And the rain shower could use some minor fixing. Overall, we had great experience and it was a much better option space-wise (45 sq.m) and money-wise compared to other hotels of the same type and star rating.

The Ibis Harbin Central Street Airport Bus Station Hotel is the ideal place of convenience in Harbin because the bus top that connects directly to the Taiping International Airport is literally right outside; less than one minute. The nearest subway station is located in Shangzhi and is only 7-10 minutes on foot. The general areas and the room was very clean and all basic amenities were provided. The breakfast was quite good and the price was reasonable. The customer service was very good and they have their own AI robot that delivers food to your door and the still call to make sure you know the delivery is outside your door. I was more than satisfied with the stay experience.

Went during spring time. Flew to Harbin so didn't use the train stations. Hotel was still great location. It is near Harbin train station too. Need to take taxi from airport to hotel since there's no subway from the airport. Took around 40 min. Hotel is a couple min walk from subway station. It's also a short walk to main tourist attractions - church and market. Not far from walking street. Hotel room was clean and looked new. Beds soft and pillows not bad. Bathroom was great. Clean and bright. Only a small sofa and no chair in room. Enough room to store all luggage though. They had toothbrushes and comb for toiletries. Quiet at night and morning. Great stay there. Would stay again.

The room appears much smaller than on the website but is adequate for solo travelling. Although water bottles was replaced daily, dirty tea cups were never removed or washed during my 4 day stay and I had to rinse them in the bathroom. The trash can was emptied every day but they do not make your bed. The shower head was broken and difficult to handle and the mattress topper was too big for the bed and kept slipping off. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was difficult in the sense that the hotel is situated in a very busy main road, with one way direction and few in between passes, meaning taxis must first drive quite far past the hotel before making a u-turn to turn back to drop you. The downside of using Didi's or taxi's are the rude and impatient drivers. They charged extra high fares during Christmas. We were often gridlocked in traffic, ending up walking back 2-4km to the hotel. Overall I was disappointed in the city itself. Many buildings were rundown and neglected with broken windos and peeled paint, that reminded me of a third world country. Streets were very dirty and a nearby school did not make traffic congestion any easier when commuting forth and back to the hotel. Rumours that Christmas is not so busy and a better time to be visiting Harbin, is not true. The crowds spoiled the experience at Saint Sophia Church, especially the influencers who dressed up in ridiculous outfits posing in freezing temperatures at the church staircases and corners, spoiling any photography opportunities. Stalls and shops around the Church were very expensive. I visited a few other churches like St Aleksyev and Jile Temple which was far worth the effort. The highlight of my trip was Volga Manor, Baroque Street and the Songhua Railroad Bridge. Sun Island snow sculptures were very enjoyable, easy to navigate and not congested with people. Plenty of space to walk through the park, play in the snow and take the cable car over the river. The ques are not long from the Sun Island side, but crossing over to Harbin's side, the ques were very long to get a cable car. Danny's Beer in the Baroques Street area is a must visit and offered welcoming, warm and delicious food and hospitality. It's a 4,7km hike from the Songhua River bridge and offered good food at very reasonable prices. I did not visit the Ice sculpture park or light shows because of the three hour waiting cues, too many people and slippery conditions. The Tiger park was a so-so experience and mostly annoying due to people teasing the tigers with meat strips they cannot reach; all for the sake of a photo opportunity. If you are an animal lover, rather skip the tiger Park. Lastly, a big plus was the public toilets near the Songhua River that were impressively clean.

There are generally no major problems with the management of five-star hotels. There are also some details that other hotels may not do. Foreign-funded groups basically have environmental protection concepts and carbon emission management requirements. Sofitel has done it relatively successfully. Toothbrushes are made of bamboo, toothpaste is in small packages, and combs are also made of bamboo. This is both environmentally friendly and in line with Chinese characteristics. Secondly, toiletries are also LANVIN brand. After all, Accor Group has a French background and likes to use old French brands. Although the hotel is not located in a commercial and prosperous area such as Central Street, it is next to Wanda Plaza. It is very convenient to eat and consume. The hotel and a park, facing the landmark building of Dragon Tower, are also quiet in the bustling city. In terms of service, the hotel has set up a customer service manager, who communicates with guests through WeChat. This management model similar to ”mobile sentry” is worth learning.

I arrived at noon on January 8th and stayed on the second floor. I am also a hotel person. The three of us flew 3,000 kilometers from the south to embrace Harbin. I was right to choose this place. Later, when we went to the area near Central Street, it was too crowded, and considering that the weather was too cold, we always used Didi and the subway to go out. . There is an open space at the entrance of the hotel where you can have fun. It took me a while to play at the entrance of the hotel before I was willing to check in. There is a subway station at the door. Didi is not far from the church and the Songhua River. Food and travel costs in Harbin are cheap. Regarding hotel services, the attitude from the front desk to the waiters is very friendly. The lobby leisure area is large and well-heated, and the facilities and equipment are very new. Picture 1 is a beautiful photo taken casually from the window. I would like to thank the hotel for giving me an unforgettable trip to Harbin. The only drawback is that the space is slightly smaller (but acceptable), but the bay window is large enough to place a lot of items. The bathing area and the toilet floor are not high and low, and water may overflow. The water temperature and pressure are unstable, but other Everything is beautiful.

The location is not bad. The hotel is on top of a shopping mall. About 20mins ride to main attractions such as zhong yang da jie. They gave us a free room upgrade which is big. The only minus point is that shower area was flooded after bathing, and there is a drainage smell coming from the washing area. Have to close the door when sleeping. Overall it is still a pleasant stay.

The most distinctive feature of Happy Homestay is that it not only provides breakfast, but also afternoon tea and supper (free for guests staying in the hotel🆓), which is an unexpected surprise. The breakfast is more abundant. Pot-fried pork is my favorite, which is available every morning👍🏻. The red sausage tastes great👍🏻, and the hot and sour noodles are also worth recommending👍🏻 In addition to drinking water, the room also provides Sprite and Coke, which are marked as free🆓. If you need other common items, the front desk will arrange them👍🏻 There are also free ice cream and coffee at the reception bar on the first floor☕ The staff are very warm and polite in every environment. It feels that the people in Northeast China are also very gentle, haha😃 There are also special projects Harbin West Railway Station pick-up (8:00-21:00) The room is very clean and the response to any questions is very timely👍🏻, There is a self-service laundry room with two washing and drying machines. This is very necessary if you stay for a few days👍🏻 The current small problem is that the logic of the bathroom sensor light is unreasonable. I heard that it will be completely renovated later. The hotel is conveniently located, one stop away from Harbin West Railway Station, and about 300 meters away from Exit 3 of Kaishengyuan Station on Metro Line 3.
