The best hotel experience I've had in Hong Kong! I'm not sure if they gave me a free upgrade or not, but the room was amazing! I was also on the 5th floor, right next to the free coffee and tea room.

The Hari Hotel in Hong Kong met my expectations. While it didn't exceed them, I still had a satisfactory stay. I had a pleasant experience at the hotel in Hong Kong. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly, which enhanced my stay. The room was comfortable, and the hotel's location was convenient. I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars and commend the staff for their excellent service.

Great location, less than a 10 minute walk to the metro station. The hotel hardware is well maintained and although the corridors looked a little tired, the room was in good condition. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the concierge. On the first night I stepped into the shower and found there was no soap. I called reception and someone came immediately. However it was still a huge inconvenience. The staff who came to the room didn’t kept their outside shoes on and as a result left black shoe footprints all over the room.

The hotel is very old and dated. The bed was super hard Igot back pain after staying for 3 nights. There was no heater in the room so they had to give me portable heater. Worse of all i booked the hotel a few weeks in advance and when i check on the day of arrival the price was about 30 persen cheaper then when i booked it. My price was hkd 1250 and the room price on the day of my stay was 700-800 hkd. I dont recommend to stay here if you dont get a very cheap price. Location was superb though just cross the street and you are at Times Square causeway bay. The management was accomodative to my complain and gave me another room that was cleaner. But overall a disappointing stay.

Room: Big and spacious. Modern. Well laid out. With excellent lightings, very comfortable king size bed, large flat screen TV and a huge wardrobe. Almost floor to ceiling full length window offers a panoramic view of luxurious condos on the mountain slopes and the famous HK turf club and all its sports facilities. Bathroom: Big and spacious too with separate bath tub and rain shower cubicle. Excellent shower pressure. The basin has a mixer but with two separate tap controls. The WC is of standard design. Housekeeping: Very polite staff who keep the place really clean. Reception: Very polite and very fast. I emailed them before my arrival and received a reply instantly. I emailed them at 1am during my stay and received a reply instantly. Incredible service. Concierge: Impressive young staff. They anticipated my needs and acted on it before I even utter a word. And they have excellent knowledge of the area and HK to give us very accurate information and direction. My wife and friends say ”this is the hotel we will stay again when we come back to HK.”

SShibu Kalayil 2024.08.21
My stay at the Wharney Hotel in Hong Kong and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the hotel's location in Wanchai is fantastic, just a 2-3 minute walk from the metro station, making it very convenient for getting around. The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained, and although the room was compact, it was comfortable and equipped with the basic essentials needed for a short stay. However, there were a few issues during my stay that left me disappointed. Despite having a confirmed booking that included breakfast, I was initially informed that no breakfast was available for my booking. It was only after showing my Trip.com voucher and enduring several checks that they finally honored the breakfast inclusion. Unfortunately, the breakfast was quite basic, with limited options—mostly bread, cereals, coffee, and juices on the western side, with the rest being local Chinese food. On my checkout day, I encountered another issue. Due to heavy rain, some of my work got delayed, so I called the front desk to request a one-hour late checkout. The lady I spoke with was quite rude and unsympathetic, informing me that I would need to pay $100 per hour for any extension. Her tone and attitude were unpleasant, and I found this particularly disappointing as I had previously been granted a one-hour extension at this same hotel without any additional charge. In the hospitality industry, customer service is key, and handling guests with respect, courtesy, and empathy is essential for ensuring repeat business. Unfortunately, the way my request was handled, combined with the overall experience, has left a sour taste.

Our stay at Renaissance was enjoyable. The service was excellent. The views from our harbor view room was nice. However, the reception counter was very busy since there were many guests and the hotel could have perhaps had more people tending the counters. They were very kind and thorough, nevertheless. The breakfast buffet at cafe renaissance was very good with a wide range of selection and food cooked to order/fresh. The navigator services were excellent in helping get transport to and from the airport as well as other destinations during our stay. We ordered room service one night and the quality of food and service was great, I recommend the fries. It was my wife’s birthday during our stay, and the hotel sent us a complimentary birthday cake which was delicious and thoughtful. Thank you for a great experience.

Excellent stay at the Lanson. Am moving to HK and stayed here during my first visit to HK. The staff was exceptionally friendly and really went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. Kevin went above and beyond meeting me close to midnight when I arrived at the hotel and just making sure I felt welcomed. He also gave me suggestions on where to eat, how to ask for traditional milk tea in Cantonese, etc. Hotel is beautifully designed and exceptionally clean as they recently went through a renovation. Food was amazing and breakfast buffet was a particular favorite. I was even able to do laundry at their self service laundry room free of charge to guests. I will not hesitate recommending Lanson to anyone visiting. Location was also great - close to MTR, high end shops, and restaurants. I will be back !

1. Room: excellent facility with warm/welcoming staff, helped change room as the side panel got some issues (highlight: perfect mandarin/english, professional service to all guests no matter where she/he is from). 2. Service: room service was excellent. However, the spa staff was in the rush (we could obviously tell that she is running out of time, no pleasant farewell. The spa mean to be a luxurious experience while I feel there is much to improve in terms of presentation). 3. Restaurant: we had lunch at 8th floor restaurant twice, excellent food, outstanding staff and sophisticated service, sparked the stay.

JJanet ChuLocation of hotel was quite convenient because it's easy access to Yaumatei MTR station and Nathan Road. Cleanliness was not up to standard due to old carpets in room caused bad smell once entering the room. Had reported to staff on day one when checked in, but nothing could be done due to other rooms also had the same situations. Some of the counter staff were quite helpful, waiters working in Canteen were nice to clients. Highly recommended menu of breakfast could be revised every week, because long time staying clients would feel boring about the choices. House keeping staff were helpful too! Strongly unsatisfied with the laundry machine on 18/F, due to totally three dryers were not well performed, clothes were still wet even though just put small portion of clothes. After complained to front desk staff, nothing could be improved, they just gave a token to client to dry the clothes again! To waste another 40 minutes for drying again!

GGuest UserNice and clean. Comfortable beds and great breakfast choice. The thing they need to change is the opening times for breakfast. 7am seems late for an airport hotel. We had to quickly eat breakfast in about 20 minutes to get the shuttle. In the U.K., airport hotels start breakfast at 5.30am. Great free shuttle to the airport.

CCHUN YEONGI have stayed in this hotel many times. The hotel is conveniently located near the metro station.Room is large, comfortable and has great view. Shower extremely hot if needed. House-keeping, front desk and cafe staff are excellent, very helpful and friendly. Everything is fine except the following: 1. Facilities and overall decoration are a bit old. Probably time for renovation; 2. Wifi is unstable and very often weak. I need to buy a Sim card to get internet service. This definitely needs upgrading asap. Other than that the hotel is highly recommended.

GGraceSummerThe building is split into two blocks which require you to go above your floor in a lift and cross over a terrace and go down 2 floors to arrive at the 4th floor hotel room in which we stayed. Unusual and most inconvenient when it came to moving heavy bags and luggage. No baggage concierge is available. A separate stairwell enables access to the ground floor via a private entrance/exit. If flights of stairs are a problem for you this could be an issue, otherwise it will require you to embark on the unusual route of having to go up first to go down if choosing to use the lift if your room happens to be in the separate block. The room itself was pleasant and styled in an appealing old fashioned manner, albeit very cramped with not enough storage space we found. The addition of a small balcony enabling a space to smoke with our double standard room was fantastic. Being able to be outside without leaving your room was very welcome. This was the sole feature (as well as laziness) as to why we extended our stay in the hotel past our initial booking check out date. However management tried to increase the rates the longer we stayed not honouring the prices offered by booking sites only offering 'take now' or lose the room and non-negotiable walk-in prices at the reception. (Don't be fooled), when you would otherwise expect rooms to offer some form of discount the longer you stay. Front of house staff were very friendly and helpful and the efficient cleaners who unfortunately don't clean under the beds for some peculiar reason. However the rest of the room was well maintained daily. Some of our facilities were broken however, the outdoor balcony light didn't work, the tiny sink slender man would have trouble using and the built in usb chargers in the wall did not work at all requiring us to buy one and plug into a regular power socket in order to charge devices. Steady WiFi connection. A handy safe to store valuables, a washing machine on the first floor, hang dry as the dryer was terrible or alternatively using a launderette was a more practical option. As well as a microwave and portable oven for public use downstairs next to the reception. A medium sized smart television with Amazon prime included. A kettle and tea and coffee for two is provided daily as well as a handy sparsely stocked mini fridge whose contents were never touched. However these flaws were not a deal breaker for us, although it could be for others. Wan Chai is also a very busy and noisy road. Soundproofing is not the best so if you are close to ground level noise pollution from pedestrians, buses, taxis, and general traffic as well as shops which advertise with megaphones during opening hours could be a major issue for those noise sensitive. Despite the mingles shortcomings we did find the room endearing and the location is absolutely fantastic and very accessible to many shops and food establishments (breakfast and dinner options on your doorstep), and even a friendly cheap! locals darts bar round the corner within staggering distance (casks darts bar). Ferry, MTR, bus stops and trams to central and causeway bay within short walking distance too. In all we both found we enjoyed our stay in the Mingle. I have no reservations about staying again due to its fantastic location and the provided balcony feature providing current room rates are competitive.

NNotAnAvidTravelerHotel staff are efficient, so don’t be too alarmed if they don’t smile back during entire conversation. Bed is always fixed everyday. One staff saved us from going to the unusable pool when we tried to find it. Please do not go to look for it like us as the changing rooms and door that lead to the pool are unkept. The hotel should not advertise the pool anymore until they fix it. + We got new slippers everyday which was appreciated as not all of us brought slippers and bare feet from the carpet to the bed is not ideal. Location was great. A few minutes walk away from the metro and shops available right out the hotel door. Easy to do money exchange and charge octopus card at the 7-11 around the corner. - Fridge isn’t as cold as I would like it to be. Didn’t know where the ventilator switch was for the bathroom, so we just had the A/C on in the room. Gym room is good for 2-4 people, wish they provided sanitary wipes for us to clean the equipment we used since there’s no sign telling us the cleaning schedule.

GGuest UserThe hotel is a bit out of the way from main tourist area- Nathan Road. It is about 15 minutes from the nearest tube station. The east and south of hotel is surrounded by some small metal retails commerce and car repair shops. I didn't like the metal and repair smells. The west of the hotel is one block away from a shopping plaza and also a lovely park. My taxi driver didn't know the hotel location until I gave him the address. The hotel entry is not easily spotted. The hotel reception is on the third floor. It looks bigger in the picture than in reality. I booked the 2 nights stay as I thought it is in a new reclaimed land area. I thought the hotel is located in a residential area. Considering the hotel is only 2 years new, I would expect the lifts are in best condition. I would appreciate the staff at the front of the desk with some smile. The lady in charge of the breakfast was lovely. The rooms are small, but designed to maximize the space. They are clean and the shower is great.

RRonaldThe perfect place to relax before entering HK downtown, or after leaving it. It shows signs of the time passed but it is totally OK. Chinese or Western breakfast available. Smack on the beach with an outdoor ground terrace. Super quiet in the evening. It can be reached by bus from Tung Chung bus station or by ferry from HK. Nice walks are to be had too, to hill tops or beaches. HK airport is on the other side of the island, and you can take the Ngong Ping cable car to the big Buddha from Tung Chung. If I get back to HK I will relax in this hotel first.
