If you want to shop, choose a hotel in the Mayfair area. In addition, three or more colleagues in London recommend UBER, the subway is really expensive. 2. Upon entering the hotel, the bellman was very active to help carry the luggage, and then a special housekeeper would greet him. After the name was determined, he would take the guests to the cafe for check-in, and the drinks were free. 3. The room is relatively large in London. The hotel's English butler service is meticulous. The room is a historic British fan. The Executive Lounge offers all-day food and beverages in addition to breakfast. The best hotel we have ever stayed in . From the first moment we arrived till we checked out service unreal . We arrived very early and our room was ready the girls on reception are so efficient and always smiling and always say hello and are there to help with anything we asked. The breakfast was out of this world and again it’s the staff who make it such a joy . Food tasted unreal . There is nothing that anyone could fault about this hotel . Tony on the door so good with people . A special mention to MOHAMOUD he was so efficient and couldn’t do enough for us . He was always smiling and we noticed he was watching his guests all the time to help them with bags or door etc . He will go far in the company . We already booked to come back next year . Truly an experience. My wife and I brought my mom to London for her 80th birthday, as afternoon tea at The Ritz was still on her bucket list. She had no idea I booked our stay there as well, and the Rolls Royce pickup from the airport. The hotel itself is what you expect, the Luis XVI style common areas and rooms are beautiful, but what really makes the place memorable, are the people. From our first contact with Johan, and our check in with Giacomo, Gavin, Roberto everyone was fantastic throughout our stay. The amount of time that the folks at reception are willing to spend just chatting and sharing stories with you is something you just don't find elsewhere. Many thoughtful interactions with my mom as the whole place seemed to know her big birthday was coming up. It was the experience of a lifetime. Thank you everyone at the Ritz for making it happen.

The Dilly was probably amazing in the 1980's and 1990's but not much has been updated since then! We stayed in a Dilly Classic room which was perfectly fine, a good size, clean with strong Wifi. The shower was powerful and there was plenty of hot water. I know some people on this site weren't impressed by the breakfast but I thought it was great. Obviously, the location is fabulous. However, I didn't feel the room was up to five-star standard. The coffee was instant and the milk small UHT cartons. There was no fridge or mini-bar (though we were in the 'cheapest' room so may be different elsewhere). The toiletries were cheap and basic (so bring your own), there was no plug by the bed to charge devices overnight and no Blu-tooth speaker which seems to be a given now in higher-end hotels. The style of the room itself was quite dated including the landline next to the toilet which I'm sure was incredibly cool in 1986 :) Overall, if this was a three-or-four-star hotel I'd give it full marks, but as it's a five-star, (and more importantly charging five-star prices), it's lacking in some areas. I believe the hotel is currently 'between owners' which makes sense, as I guess the current owners don't want to invest and are ticking along until the new ones take over. It's not dreadful by any means, but they charge a lot for what you get.

Hygiene is average, seems gray, and the bathroom has a slight odor. There is no own parking lot. There is a cooperative parking lot on the other side of the square. You can park temporarily at the door and drop your luggage before going to the parking lot. Parking is 44 pounds a day and about 37 pounds with a hotel coupon. There are actually two hotels here, one is grand and the other is cq. I booked grand but lived in Cq. I do n’t know how to arrange it. When the hotel is not busy, it is sold at 7-800, and the price is good. After all, it is close to the Thames and other attractions.

The hotel is conveniently located, with a 5-minute walk to the Victoria park Train station, 1 minute to a hop on off bus, and 10 minutes to the Victoria Palace theatre. This was a concern for me, as it felt like our comfort was not a priority for the management. The continental breakfast was good, and they also offered to cook from the menu if preferred. Overall, I would grade Tophams hotel as a 3-star property. While the location is great and the room was clean and comfortable, the small room size and ongoing renovations were a letdown.

What let's this hotel down slightly is the attitude of the reception staff. The other staff are always very good but reception staff appear rather unwelcoming and quite miserable. When we checked in with prepaid vouchers the reception staff were rude and confused. Checking in took at least 15 minutes. On checking out their attitude is aloof and unfriendly. On the whole our stay was enjoyable and very convenient for Victoria Station. We would stay again.

I booked a room via the booking com website. They had fairly good reviews and the photos looked really nice so I thought this was gonna be a good place for my daughter's first visit in the UK. When we were going up the stairs there was nothing worrying. Might have thought that the place needs a bit doing up but ignored it. However, when we entered the room we were shocked to find that we were given an almost entirely rotten room that looked nothing like the pictures and not corresponding to the reviews at all. The beds were some creaky cot beds with really thin mattresses. The window was a flaky rotten single glazed frame that didn't even budge and we hurt our fingers to get it closed. Bathroom wise the door frame, where door handle was, had fallen off and the handle was just hanging there. There was other people's hairs on the door on the inside. The sink was so tiny like those you find on boats and whenever we washed our hands the entire bathroom got wet. We had to use one of our own towels to keep drying the floor which we obviously had to put in the bin after. The toilet was blocked and had to unblock it ourselves just to get on with our daily needs. The shower head was broken and there was no pressure for hot water. The shower door was broken too and fell on my daughter while she was washing, had to set it back up just to get out. There was no venting at all which made the room steamy and super humid after a shower. The walls looked mucky like they haven't been cleaned in years. The only good things about this room was that there was plenty of working power sockets, a working kettle, some coffee and tea and a semi-working electric heater which was also broken where the switches are which I'm sure wasn't that safe but we had to use it anyway because we were cold from that thin window. The electric locks were alright, considering. When we asked for fresh sheets we were told that we get them every 5 days and if we want new ones any sooner than that we had to pay for them. All in all it was embarrassing. I haven't seen my daughter in months and had to put her through this. There was other more popular hotels at the same price. I don't know why I fell for this stupid trap.
