Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and would never book again. Check in was easy at reception greeted nicely by the young lady who told us we had to pay a £50 bond incase we done any damage to the room. We were told we were on the 1st floor in room 6. We headed up the staircase which had food on the carpet of the stairs and turned right to our room greeted by a soiled nappy stinking across from our doorway in the hallway. Went into our room and was shocked at what we seen in there, sticky red carpet, old worn out of date furniture, walls dirty, radiator dirty, bedbase dirty, tv wonky on the wall. The bathroom was so small that I couldn't sit on the toilet and when I wanted to go to do my business I had to sit sideways which to be honest was the highlight of staying there making me giggle. The bed was awful, springs had gone. I will mention more about the mattress later in the review There is an out door area around the back were you can sit on rotten wooden picnic benches were I was greeted with a rat running back and too popping his head out of the drain giving me a cautious look and running back past me towards the bins. Also there is a shed there where they keep the linen and staff was smoking in there. Talk about a fire hazard. The breakfast I didn't like the look of to be honest so just had orange juice because the stench of dirty fat in the restaurant put me off immediately and noticed customers pulling faces while eating then leaving food on the plates because they didn't like it. We spoke to other customers staying at the hotel who was discusted with the state and smells in the rooms that the 2 couples checked out for other accommodation and a lady from Sweden had booked for 5 days left too after 1 night there. Back to the mattress... While we were getting changed and sitting on the bed on our final day the girlfriend jumped up because she seen bedbugs which she pointed out to me. At that instance I decided to pull off the bedding and wasn't to surprised to what I saw. Soiled mattress covered in pee stains and probably other stained matter on there too. I will post the photos so you can see for yourselves. I would give this hotel a wide berth and wouldn't book. It is an health hazard.

We stayed at Ibis Budget Barking on one of the hottest nights of the year. The air-conditioning worked brilliantly, so we had a much better night than friends who stayed at a much more expensive hotel in central London! We were attending an event at The University of East London SportsDock. It was very easy to get to - just a short walk to the bus stop by Tesco, a 19-minute bus journey which took us very close to the venue - so Ibis Budget Barking is ideal for anyone wanting to go to something in East London. The front of house staff were very courteous and helpful. I have rated this 4 rather than 5 as a kettle ought to be a standard offering in all rooms (in Ibis Budget Portsmouth we had a kettle). But, all in all, an excellent budget location.

This is a basic hotel for a short term booking. If all you need is a good place to sleep and no luxuries in the east of London, then this could be the place for you. The bed was ok and the facilities too. Nothing fancy but functional. The service from staff was ok and I wouldn't criticize that at all. I am happy to return to this Hotel at some other point.

Wonderful hotel with excellent location. The room was clean, very comfortable and had great view of the London Stadium. The location was amazing, next to a huge Stratford Shopping Centre and to the subway station with many subway lines. The staff was friendly, professional and very helpful. KUDO to the Concierge Staff, especially NALEEF, DANIEL, AND ONE OTHER GENTLEMAN (sorry! i forgot his name). My wife got pickpocketed in London. The Concierge staff, especially Naleef, went above and beyond their duty to help us to deal with our distress moments. He advised us to report the theft to the London Police, and also the Concierge staff helped us tremendously to deal with our stolen credit cards. We really appreciated what these amazing staff did for us. Thanks so much to Naleef, Daniel and to all the Concierge staff for making us feel so welcome and for all your unforgettable help during our stay. The world needs more of these people like your Concierge staff. Hyatt should be very proud to have these amazing Concierge staff. We certainly will return to this Hyatt hotel in the future and would highly recommend this Hyatt hotel to anyone!

Lovely overnight getaway. Fantastic room - Executive Lounge Room 614 - with a great view of Crossrail. Only downside on that was that you heard the DLR starting at about 7am on the Sunday morning. The receptionist, Sandra, was really friendly and helpful and staffing the bar in the evening were likewise very good. The executive lounge on the 7th floor had a good selection of soft drinks, but we weren’t around to try the hot appetisers or free wine & beer in the evening as we already had dinner plans in the West End. Transportation wise, it’s a 2 min walk to the DLR, less then 5 to the new Elizabeth Line and only a few more to the Jubilee Line - perfectly positioned! Lots of restaurants and bars to choose from as well. Breakfast was fantastic, particularly loved the donut wall! Quite a novelty! The cooked breakfast was delicious, with omelettes made to order - more food than you could handle! Will definitely look to stay again in the future.

We stayed at this hotel as somewhere to sleep whilst we did some family trips in London. What made the hotel stand out for us was the staff. Unfortunately we were one of the last to come down for breakfast and the kids had set their hearts on croissants. They hotel had run out though and they were a bit disappointed as there wasn’t much else they fancied. One of the waitresses however came out with her own personal croissant that she had put back for her breakfast and gave it to my daughter. That was way above and beyond and so kind. Thank you so much!

HHelenI was lucky enough to be able to check in early at midday and make extra use of the spa facilities, which was great. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was extremely clean. Breakfast was fantastic - one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. Great location for attending events at the O2, especially with the covered walk way to the arena, direct from the hotel. The pool area of the spa is nice but looking slightly tired in places (one of the sets of steps into the pool was broken) and my room was well equipped (with an amazing river view from the 14th floor) but a little characterless. But over all it was very good. I'd stay again!

GGuest UserJust leaving Holiday Inn Sutton and have had a truly wonderful stay. This hotel was used as a base for exploring London and surrounding areas and can't recommend highly enough. Ok we're not talking 5 star luxury, but if you're looking for that common sense should tell you to book elsewhere. However if you're looking for CLEAN (so important) and comfort with EXCELLENT staff then this will be for you! Staff are honestly some of the best I've encountered (even in 5 star hotels) and I don't say that lightly. Restaurant, front desk, housekeeping, health club all an absolute credit to the hotel and brand. Thank you. Nothing was to much trouble and you made our stay really great. It's the morning and evening acknowledements and friendly vibe and all the little touches that really do go a long way. We'll be back and would highly recommend this hotel and if there's a way to reward staff on duty 27th-29th August 2022 please do :)

GGuest UserThis hotel is a clean modern hotel which is well maintained. My wife and I stayed here twice, for 3 and 4 days respectively while touring the UK. The rooms were comfortable for sleeping, quiet and the air-conditioning worked well. The bathrooms were well designed and very clean. Housekeeping was fine. The major problem was that both of our rooms were very small and they had virtually no space for clothing. There was no usable drawer space and closets were tiny and had an inadequate number of hangers as well. If you are traveling for other than 1-2 days, there is no place to put anything. Living out of suitcases for 4 days or more does not add to the enjoyment of one's trip. The Breakfast is at best, just OK. There is a minimal amount of fresh fruit and while you can order off a hot breakfast menu, most things we ordered were not very good, so we stopped doing that. The Reception staff was marginally helpful. No one came to help us with our luggage. If you need a taxi or limo to take you to the airport, you are on your own. In addition, the front of the hotel is covered by bus stops so the taxi or limo has to try to find a place to pull us to load or unload. There are just a lot of annoying things about this hotel, some could be remedied, others probably not. For my next visit to London, I will not be staying here.

GGuest UserIn a great location, just a few minutes walk from Poplar DLR station and very easy to find. Friendly reception staff at both day and night and an ample buffet style breakfast selection including full English, and continental options. My room was a duplex style with lots of space and a very comfortable bed. I was attending an event near to the O2 which is why I chose this hotel and taxis took around 10 minutes. Only criticism would be that the bar doesn’t open until 7pm which seems a tad late, 6/6:30 would have been handy but not a deal breaker. All in all I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again! Thank you

GGuest UserGreat location. Bed comfy. Fine for purpose I did end up in a room furthest from reception- but hey someone has to have it. I had asked reception what time I should get to the airport for a 6am flight they suggested 3:30, the following morning I was ready to leave at 3:15, to be informed that the pods don’t start until 4am, checkin at terminal 5 also doesn’t start til 4am. GGuest UserWe stayed 3 nights here, first night the rooms were wrong, after going to reception the ignorant woman behind reception was no help. Her male colleague changed the rooms on day 2. All 4 rooms were dumps, not fit for 1 star. Our room in the basement was directly above the tube line, you could hear it travelling every few minutes. Health and safety doesn't exist here. Breakfast is basic, no hot food and the milk was sour and stored in a flask. Everywhere except reception is filthy. The bar was closed for 2 of the 3 days we spent here as the barman did not turn up for work and nobody else was authorised to open the bar including the manager. 10 pounds charge to store your luggage while you wait to get checked in!!! While passing through reception at various times we heard at least 6 people complaining about the rooms they had been allocated. Nothing matches the photos online. Windows unlockable, safes not working, corroded tap in the ”newly refurbished bathroom”, showers blocked. Well over priced for what it is. This place is not a hotel!! Unfortunately 0 stars is not an option.

JJames BladesGreat stay, during the Christmas period. Short term booking notice was very convenient for me, easy check in and very comfortable suite. Felt like a home away from him. Pros: - Polite and happy to help staff - Right in the middle of Hammersmith, 5 minute walk from the station or the high street with shopping malls and a variety of shops - Nice, gated rock table garden with ashtrays out the front - Executive studio had a nice large modern room, bathroom, kitchen with flat screen and private veranda with table and ashtray - Left to your own devices to self cater which I enjoyed, housekeeping still asked to clean the room during my stay which is nice - Cooker/microwave, separate microwave, kettle, hidden mid sized fridge, fan, good heating, nice artwork, - Very comfy pillows and duvet, plenty of clean towels - Great mattresses for a perfect sleep - Large mirror and full sized desk in the room - Nice lighting and very atmospheric - Separate entrance to main hotel - Pots, frying pan, cutlery, wine glasses and mug was provided which was convenient - Managed to cook multiple elements of a dish with no smoke alarm triggers or problems - French doors onto the private dug out veranda was a very nice feature - It's only £10 per hour to extend check-out which I added an extra hour on so I have more time to leave with no complaints from the manager - Cost was very reasonable for the holiday season, made a great short 3 day stay very easy to book short notice Cons: - Not much to the hotel, 5 metre wide reception area by front door which is awkward - My suite was located downstairs, where there were also other guest rooms however the hallway looked like the cleaners storeroom and unkept. - Noise from hallway, slamming doors by other guests or housekeepers can be heard which would shake the TV - 5hr wait for a remote control for the TV - No toilet roll - Advertised a king sized bed, but it was two singles locked together - Other guests window located on large veranda, which didn't have cover from the rain. If the guests next door open the curtains you see the entire room vice versa which was the case - TV is on the wall with a extendable clamp, but it was unsturdy and unlevel. If you tried to balance it screws fell out of the clamp with plaster dust which I had to screw back in after trying to turn the screen on. I really enjoyed my stay with the hotel; which turned out to be more of a self catering, collection of mini apartments which suited me well. It was lovely to not have to leave the hotel for fresh air and to have to private outside area to the suite was a great touch for central London. Odd bits and bobs that could be fixed or more well presented, but that didn't bother my stay. I would 100% recommended the hotel and would stay again. Just be aware of the noise from the hallways entering the room, it's wasn't excessive but definitely noticeable.

GGuest UserI actually really liked the stay here. Simple, classy, hub hotel room. Amazing central London location. Steps away from tube station, we visited tourist sites in the area. Great for our city weekend break. The beds are superbly comfortable. I travelled solo ALOT for work, so I know what I like or not about hotel rooms. On this occasion I was traveling with my 3 kids, and the absence of TV meant they slept undistracted. The absence of carpeted floors, decorative pillows and bed runners, (that I suspect are rarely washed in other hotels) was perfect, as it means I didn't have to make sure my kids weren't touching any unclean fabric items. We were out for majority of our stay. So the lack of view/windows, wasn't any concern. No breakfast option, but we grabbed fruit for breakfast from Tesco express nearby. There is a 24hour cafe & bar next door, that is good option too. If you know what you're booking and what to expect, you won't be claustrophobic, instead you'll be pleasantly surprised. Reception team member is my reason for leaving a review though - he comp'd our left luggage :) I hope if Zedwell family see this they compliment his action, because he's gained you return custom and extra revenue, as I'll now book again due to how thoughtful and personable his service was towards my family, thank you. I've misplaced where I noted his name, Sherif(?) [Tall, young, South Asian origin]. Looking forward to our next stay at Zedwell
