At first we were put in the lower ground - the room was dusty, very small and the window would not open. When we spoke with the manager he moved us and was very accommodating with us - it was a free upgrade which we greatly appreciated and made our trip so much more comfortable. The new room was on floor 3 with a lovely view of the gardens opposite and was very clean. The location really sold this hotel for us - close to 3 stations, great pub on the corner, lots of places to eat in Notting Hill, 10 mins walk from Portobello Rd. The breakfast was not included as advertised, but it did not look appetising to us so we opted to go out rather than pay £7 to eat at the hotel. There are limitless options.

Although the hotel gave a small room, about 10 square meters, I turned around and bumped into the furniture, but the sparrow was small and well-equipped, but at the same time it was clean. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic. We asked them to borrow if the charger was not very good. It is also enthusiastic and satisfying. Of course, the price/performance ratio is not comparable to that in China. This is London

I've been visiting the UK since 1972 so have had a fair share of hotel experiences. This hotel was a very positive experience. 1) room was ready at an early check-in, 2) room was just as advertised, 3) room was very clean and had everything we needed including a fridge and well equiped kitchen. 4). Staff were pleasant and well informed. 5). yes, there are stairs and they are steep. 6) very quiet and the windows open for fresh air and a view as we were on the top floor. 7) Waitrose an upscale grocery is just a few blocks away if you want a ready prepared meal to heat up in the kitchen. 8) transport is just a few steps away. 9) before departure we had access to a computer and printer to print our boarding passes. 10) staff ordered our taxi the night before and it was waiting for us just as ordered. The driver knew where we were going and took the most direct route saving us a long walk in the terminal. The price is reasonable considering the location the quality of the accomodation, the quiet location and the service. It gets my vote for a return visit! Did I say clean... I mean really clean, you know what I mean if you have stayed at anything other than a five star London hotel with five star prices. II know I had made a good choice when my wife said that was a great hotel and when can we go back. Rick Victoria

Apart from the lift breakdown the rest was taken care of and the breakfast was good.

Whilst the location of the hotel is excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly, the experience was far from ideal. On arrival we were told that we had been ”upgraded” to a deluxe room. I can assure you, there was nothing deluxe about it. The room was cramped and stuffy with no air conditioning. We both struggled to get a proper night's sleep. The bathroom was only suitable for a trained contortionist (which Me and my partner are not!) The breakfast was a let down too unfortunately. No fried or poached eggs available, with the only options being soggy scrambled or hard boiled to death. The bacon....well it wasn't bacon, and the sausages had just been shown the pan. For the price we paid I would have expected much more, even going by the location. There is plenty of room for improvement.

We stayed for two nights in a quadruple executive apartment ( two adults and two teenagers). We had one double bedroom and a separate kitchen/ dining/ living area with a double sofa bed. The apartment was on the first floor and we found the rooms quite spacious although the bathroom ( off the bedroom) was quite small and cramped ( but it did have a good powerful shower over the bath) . All beds were very comfy and the apartment was very quiet at night . Our room was clean but the decor was very dated ( brown squares on the carpet, with some burn marks on the carpet maybe caused by a previous guest’s straighteners?) , also dated brown curtains, and the doors/ skirting boards were marked/ damaged in places so it could benefit from a decor update. Our room was cleaned each day we stayed with fresh towels provided. We would return here again as it is very handy for the Bayswater and Queensway tube stations and getting into central London easily. It is very close to Kensington Park / Hyde Park
