fishwingI've always wanted to stay at Hotel Okura, but it's so hard to get a reservation. I finally managed to book a two-night, three-day stay last week, and I was so impressed by the meticulous and thoughtful service. I have to give it a big thumbs up:
1. Before checking in, I emailed the hotel to let them know it was my husband's birthday in June and asked for some birthday decorations. They replied quickly, and to my surprise, they even sent a delicious matcha cake! [Strong]
2. The hotel lobby is open and airy with a simple, understated design. The bamboo garden courtyard is serene and luxurious, creating a wonderful ambiance. The front desk staff are all attractive and friendly. When we checked in, Johnny thoughtfully extended our check-out time to 1 PM. When we checked out, Alsen proactively asked about our stay and even gave us a hotel fridge magnet. The service from both gentlemen was truly exceptional.
3. The guest room layout is well-designed, comfortable, and practical. The Japanese design details are perfectly executed. The tea set is very practical, and there were also candies and fruit, with complimentary beverages. The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job cleaning and thoughtfully organized all my jewelry and cosmetics. It's been years since I've seen such a comprehensive turndown service – water, slippers, and a bathmat were all meticulously placed, and they even provided a sleep spray and paper cranes. Coming back to a tidy room every day after enjoying the Grand Resort Deck was incredibly comforting.
4. I've already decided to bring my mom to Hotel Okura next time, and I hope it will be easier to book then. I do wish the trash can in the bathroom was a bit bigger. All in all, my stay at Hotel Okura was very pleasant and excellent.

real_ps.xianChoosing to stay at Andaz Hotel was the best decision ever! Although check-in took quite some time, everything else was fantastic. The room condition and location were great, and the fact that a lounge is provided is a nice bonus. It was fortunate that I could spend the waiting time there. Shuttle buses to the Galaxy main hall were frequent, so there was no problem using the kids' club and restaurants. The kids also said they want to come back again. If I plan a trip to Macau next time, I'll definitely revisit Andaz Hotel. It was such a wonderful and memorable trip!

Guest UserThe room was nice, not big, but had all the necessary facilities. Housekeeping was also very good. The L'Occitane miniatures were a nice touch.
The hotel front desk service process was quite long, and I had to wait a while. The luggage staff were also just chatting together.
Also, don't bother with breakfast; it's not worth it. The selection is limited, and the management isn't great; it's quite chaotic.
The coffee shops connected to the hotel's mall are good. Bloom, Cotiz, and Momokawa all have their own unique charm, worth visiting one by one. There's also a Cotiz-partnered Yee Shun Dairy Company Double-Skin Milk in the middle that's delicious. Remember to use the discount vouchers provided by the hotel.
The hotel also provided Wynn Palace cable car tickets, which was very good and practical.
Transportation is just okay. Taxis are scarce, but there's a taxi stand right outside where you can directly get a cab, and Macau drivers are generally quite friendly. There's a bus stop downstairs, and you can take the MT4 to many places. For the return trip, you have to walk about 5 minutes to the bus stop across the street.
If I come to Macau again for a game or concert, I probably wouldn't choose this hotel. I'd consider a place more in the city center with more taxi options.

The biggest takeaway from my trip to Macau was getting 29 bites from an unknown insect. Macau in late August was hot and humid. I woke up around 5 AM due to an itch on my arm, and the more I scratched, the itchier it got. I bought some anti-inflammatory and anti-itch creams from the pharmacy in the morning, but they only provided temporary relief; the itching would return unbearable. Even after scratching every single bump open, it still itched. The little black specks on the white paper are small bugs I killed while having breakfast in the hotel restaurant the next day. I'm not sure if these were the bugs that bit me while I was sleeping. I reported the situation to the front desk, and they moved me to a different room the next day. I also started wearing a long-sleeved T-shirt, and I didn't get bitten again that night. It's been a week now, and it's still itchy. The hotel itself seemed to have a good environment, convenient transportation, with a bus stop and many small restaurants downstairs. However, the only thing that really bothered me was being bitten so badly by insects. I'm not sure if it was due to the hotel's hygiene or Macau's hot and humid weather.

Anonymous UserExceeded my expectations! I came to Macau for the WTT Champions Series table tennis tournament, and Grand Lisboa Palace was the closest hotel to the East Asian Games Dome. The room was huge and new, and the whole building smelled wonderfully of L'Occitane. The bed was super comfortable, the shower space was generous, and the dual shower heads were a nice touch. I didn't have high hopes for breakfast, but the Chinese restaurant was excellent and I ate very well every day. There was a slight hiccup during check-in, but it actually showed how dedicated and responsible the staff were. I blame the platform for not allowing me to edit the guest details and for not providing the correct hotel account information. I would definitely consider staying at Grand Lisboa Palace again on future trips to Macau!

Guest UserThis was a surprisingly satisfying experience! I read some reviews saying the hotel was old, but when I got there, it didn't feel old at all. In fact, I thought it was very well-maintained.
We were traveling with a child, and this hotel met all our needs.
There's a swimming pool, both indoor and outdoor, and they're quite large. The water quality is excellent and very clean. Staff at the pool distribute clean, sanitized towels.
There's a dedicated play area for children with a ball pit, picture books, and lots of toys. I personally found it very clean 😊.
There's a sauna in the changing rooms, separate for men and women. I love saunas; it was super relaxing.
The hotel also hosts activities at different times. It's a shame we only stayed one night and couldn't participate.
We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel this time.
For dinner, we ordered room service. There was a huge variety of dishes, covering all sorts of cuisines.
Breakfast was a buffet, and our whole family was pleased with it.
This experience was so good that we're already planning our next stay! ☺️

I didn't have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The room was incredibly spacious, and we were given a corner room that even had a small study! It wasn't old or dated as some reviews suggested; the room facilities felt very new, and it was spotlessly clean. The staff were also super friendly and helpful. I'll definitely book this place again next time I'm in Macau.

The Waldo Hotel Macau boasts a convenient location, close to the Golden Lotus Square and the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal, making travel easy. The rooms are spacious and offer good value for money, while the service is decent. Although the facilities are a bit dated and soundproofing isn't great, its prime location makes it a practical choice for guests prioritizing convenience.
