Holiday Inn Hotels in Melbourne

Staying right next to the airport is incredibly convenient. There's a pedestrian walkway, and you can easily follow the signs to reach the hotel in about 10 minutes. No need to wait for the hotel's free shuttle. If you're going back to the airport, you can walk the same way; however, they charge 3 AUD per person for airport drop-off. I returned my rental car at the airport and then went to the hotel, saving a day's car rental fee. The breakfast is pretty standard, nothing special, so I wouldn't recommend specifically choosing it. Downstairs, there's a McDonald's and a convenience store at the gas station.

I initially thought this was a good trip, but the breakfast situation really soured it for me. On our last night, we had an early flight the next day, so we went to the restaurant at 6:50 AM to try and eat early. Even though some food was already out, the restaurant's front desk refused us, citing 'rules' (the day before, there were already people eating at 7:00 AM). Okay, I respect the rules. But then, at 7:10 AM, there was still a lot of food not put out yet. Are *you* following your own rules? Also, the air conditioning unit outside the room on the 5th floor was quite noisy. Something to watch out for.

Excellent service provided at reception. We were provided with Shaving Kits, Toothbrushes and Toothpaste. We were allowed to check-in early since we arrived on an early morning flight. The breakfast in the morning was excellent with a buffet style breakfast including eggs cooked to order and a freshly squeezed vegetable/fruit juice from carrots, beetroot and green apple.

Warm homely welcome felt when I entered the place. It has a fantastic view and great breakfast every morning. Staff was friendly and welcoming, even offered a nice upgrade for my stay. Thank you for the hospitality. Breakfast was delicious and have a pancake making machine which my kids loved! Near to werribee open range zoo which is 8 min drive away. Great location too!
