Veriu Hotels in Melbourne

Good location right in the CBD and opposite the markets. It is very busy so if that’s not your style I would recommend a more quiet suburb. Really great transport and food options close by. Service was ok, we had to really advocate to get our rubbish collected after missing the cleaning service. The rubbish sat outside our door for 24 hours. Cleaners don’t work on Sunday so we had food in the bin from Saturday to Monday. Staff advised to leave rubbish outside our door waiting to be collected for Sunday-Monday. We did offer to dispose of it but nowhere to do so. The air con stopped working the last two nights of our stay. There was also no conditioner in the shower. Staff did provide fresh towels when requested and additional pillows which was good. Overall it was good. The room was big and good food options close by. There is onsite laundry for guests and a gym/pool. I had previously stayed at the Collingwood Veriu and that experience was 10/10. I have booked another Veriu prior to this trip and unsure if I will keep the booking.

This hotel is in an excellent location for those wanting to explore Collingwood and Fitzroy. Customer service could definitely be better sadly. Two staff members across our stay weren't very welcoming and quick to forget simple requests such as extra towels for the pool. The pool view is amazing, but pool is not heated, so keep that in mind if you hope to use it. The pool area is also really in need of a clean. All the lounge area cushions and bean bags need a clean- quite smelly from other people's sweat etc. And pool tiles felt grimy. The room was a great size with good facilities, but the room already has wear and tear and grout and shower needs attention. Bathroom really felt superficially clean. For the price we booked, it is good value.

Although the room is small, it is fully equipped with a washing machine, dryer, kitchen, etc. It is very convenient and the price is OK. I am very satisfied and will come again if necessary.
