We asked for 2 rooms and were assigned to different floors when we checked in. One of the supervisors wanted to help us move us to the same floor, but the front desk said that it would be difficult to move us to other rooms because they are all a family. Listening to this, it feels like we are not a family. We used Ctrip to place the order. Ctrip used simplified Chinese and was asked how to use simplified Chinese. I felt that it was not very welcoming to mainland tourists.

I travelled solo to SML and happened to be in the path of Typhoon Kang Rey. I was glad to be staying here where the Ops Mgr Jiaqi hosted well. She offered me suggestions on what to do or where to go and check on me to make sure I'm well settled in. This place is also relatively new, nice and clean and very well set up. It is situated close to the old street where all food options are available. Also well situated to bus stop and walking trails. I will definitely come back again if I have the chance to.

The location is very good. It's right next to Sun Moon Lake. You can go shopping and eat within a minute's walk. However, I am an allergic patient. I blew my nose wildly at night and felt that the cleaning was not very clean. I didn't sleep well all night.
