The location of the hotel is convenient for entry and exit. The front desk staff has a good attitude. The hotel environment is good and breakfast is included. Coffee is available 24 hours a day on the first floor. The room is not large and the sound insulation is average. In the middle of the night, the sound of water and sounds outside the corridor can be heard.

It isn't easy to find a centrally located and relatively affordable hotel in Brooklyn, so I was a bit nervous about what to expect, but the Sheraton worked out really well. My room was bigger than I expected--not huge, but good-sized for New York--with a nice view of the water. It was clean, quiet, and modern, and the bed was comfortable. Outside the hotel, street life was bustling--diverse crowds enjoying the many take-out food options and the outlet stores on the Fulton Mall. I enjoyed feeling like I was surrounded by ”real New Yorkers.” There's a subway station close by (you're only two stops from Manhattan), and a decent cafe operating out of the lobby. The elevators can be a bit slow and crowded, so requesting a lower floor might reduce your wait times a bit. Over the course of my multi-day stay at this large hotel, I met other guests attending weddings, religious conferences, and sports tournaments. I found the staff helpful and pleasant, though perhaps the service is a little basic (if something is delivered to you at the front desk, you can expect to go get it yourself). I was glad to find this hotel and would stay there again.

I had a very nice experience with the hotel. The personnel were very accommodating, nice and respectful. Over all it was apleasant stay even though we only had 1 night to stay. Aside from this, the location of the hotel was close to the WTC, Wall St., The Oculus, was just a 5-15 minute walk away. By the way, love the freshly baked cookies. I would truly recommend this hotel to my friends.

The location of the hotel is in China town where Chinese restaurants, stores and grocery stores around it. Most of the customers were Chinese. It is close to the subway station, takes about 7 minutes to get there, but takes at least 30 minutes to get to Manhattan by train. We spent a lot of time on commute.
If you want to visit Manhattan, I recommend staying in Manhattan.
The highlight of the staying was breakfast which was perfect. However, I can’t believe that the hotel does not provide water, and we had to pay for water.

The hotel Is very modern and clean but the pool did not open until 3pm and closed at 9pm. This was very disappointing because the pool looked nice. Also the gym closed at 9pm. The staff were not customer focused and not very helpful. They looked irritated when we asked them a question. The parking fee is also too high and should be cheaper. If they change the parking and pool rules and teach their staff to smile and be pleasant I would consider staying again but if not, I probably will not stay their again.

The West Side YMCA is definitely a no frills place to stay, but the location is excellent. You're right next to Central Park and Columbus Circle. Times Square is an easy walk south. We stayed in 2 different rooms. The first had a bunk bed and was quite small, but the bed was comfy and the room was clean. It also had a small TV and fridge. We had a semi-private bathroom, which was down the hall. This meant we had to scan our key on one of the bathroom doors to get in, but once inside we had privacy while we got cleaned up. The bathrooms were kept clean and tidy. We were able to upgrade the second half of our stay to a room with a larger bed and an in room bathroom. Again, this hotel is no frills. It can be rough around the edges, but it's clean and comfortable at the end of a long day of sightseeing. We did not have time to take advantage of the gym, the pool, the sauna, and stuff like that, but they looked nice. I'd recommend the West Side YMCA. If you're visiting NYC, you should be out doing stuff, not sitting around the room. It was everything we needed it to be.

We were so pleased to stay at the Best Western even without any reservation. The hotel was clean, comfortable and everyone was kind and professional. The breakfast was delicious and I recommend it. We encountered a very pleasant employee by the name of Angelique. She literally made us feel at home and that’s what every visitor appreciates. The price was affordable especially in this time which is hard to find. So we give this hotel 5 stars which we rarely do.

We stayed at the Element this past weekend and had a fantastic experience. Quick Overview - Staff was super nice, picked us up from the airport, held our bags while we went into the city before check in, Path station is across the street, great location with several restaurants nearby, hotel lobby and our room was clean, breakfast had plenty of variety (even stayed open 5 extra minutes for our teenagers who over slept), they have a nice bar & grill with good food and reasonable prices. Then to top it off, my daughter left her vintage magazine she bought in NYC. I thought for sure it was gone. Nope, the staff found it and dropped it in the mail to us this morning. KKitrynThis hotel is immaculate and absolutely everybody is above and beyond pleasant. Though not directly affiliated with the hotel, Inexpensive, super clean and very easily accessible parking is a two minute walk away at 25 Kent St. We paid $64 for 2 1/2 days of parking. The room was incredible. Exposed brick walls with super high ceilings, the bathroom had a huge tub and a wonderful shower. Pro tip: if traveling with someone that you do not want to see you naked, understand that it is not a one-way mirror over the bar and you absolutely CAN see into the shower While someone is showering. Luckily I was with my daughter, so this was not a real issue. The restaurant within the hotel and the Ramen place directly next-door are both wonderful. I did not make it to the rooftop bar this time but since I absolutely will stay at this hotel every time I come to visit I will check it out next time! The room was extremely quiet, temperature was easy to control. Now, a little too much honesty, I am an extremely “sensitive” person, and resting and hearing so much from the second I stepped into this hotel. I was never scared, as I definitely don’t typically get scared, but I had numerous very genuine and very obvious things happen while I say that this hotel, such as seeing things walk across the hall in both my room and the hallway, in the main lobby bathroom someone walked into the bathroom and into the stall next to me, but never left, and when I looked, there was no one there,and I was in the shower. I could hear several men talking to each other as if they were right next to me. I was definitely not hearing people from another room. I also heard the door to the stair well open, which is right next to our room and I was right next to the door so when I looked, there was nobody there and I pulled it shut again. Just out of curiosity, as to what was there prior to the hotel, on the way home my daughter looked up the history to the hotel. Let’s just say it was very enlightening as to why i was experiencing so much activity in this hotel, especially on the third floor next to what I will assume would have been a fire escape at some point. It also may explain why the first thing that went through my mind when I opened the front door of the hotel and turned to my daughter and said “I’m surprised the hotel gets away with door opening inward. It goes against fire code. Anyway, You can look up the history yourself and understand all that I have said. :-)  either way, a spectacular hotel at a decent price and a very safe and beautiful part of the city. I will definitely stay here again!

The proximity of the canteen and cafeteria next to the reception area added to the convenience. The cafeteria offered a delightful selection of freshly baked goods and various beverages, making it a pleasant spot to unwind.
While I explored nearby Bodegas for budget-friendly groceries, the hostel's public kitchen became my go-to for preparing breakfast and dinner. Although the communal kitchen occasionally suffered from post-use neglect, the dedicated hostel staff ensured it remained clean and well-equipped.
The cleanliness of the shared facilities extended to the toilets, which were consistently well-maintained and stocked with amenities. This attention to hygiene contributed significantly to a positive overall experience.
Despite booking a bed in a 12-bed room, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and the daily cleaning routine carried out by the diligent hostel staff.
Adding to the positive experience, the Hi New York hostel's location proved to be exceptionally convenient for exploring major destinations. The hostel's close proximity to a subway station, just a 2-minute walk away, made traveling around the city a breeze. This accessibility enhanced the overall convenience of my stay, allowing me to easily reach and explore various attractions without any hassle. The strategic location near the subway station was undoubtedly a valuable asset for anyone looking to make the most of their time in the city.

MMaikehuThe location of the hotel is invincible. You can walk to Central Park, Times Square, and countless famous attractions in Manhattan. Next to the subway station, the transportation is very convenient.
The hotel service is also very good. Hair dryer and coffee machine were sent to the front desk by phone. The room was clean and tidy.
It is basically full, causing the elevators to be very tight and need to wait. Some rooms in the hotel are a bit old-fashioned, and the details such as the corners may not be very beautiful. Let's see if someone pays attention.

GGuest UserMy check list for a hotel: Good mattress, good pillows. Check. Clean room with adequate space. Check. Small table, a desk space, a good-sized bed. Quiet. Definitely check and that shouldn't be taken for granted in NYC. Decent gym. Check. And no crazy glitches. Yep, plenty of elevators, good water pressure, the HVAC worked fine etc. etc. I thought the staff was friendly and proactive -- I requested coffee capsules -- they arrived quickly, a lot of them, and some water bottles just in case I was thirsty. I wish they would just put coffee machines in rooms instead of having to ask for one, but it's not very hard to ask. Bonus points: I showed up at noon expecting to have to check bags but a room was available so that made things nicer. Some others seem to be complaining about lack of room service but that was working when I was there.

TTravelTheSkyCheck in was seamless and kind. Throughout the hotel staff was very kind and always helpful. We stayed there while seeing two Broadway shows and it is a great location for this and access to the park. Did not have any food but noticed the store/cafe on the first floor had incredible waits and very slow staff on a Friday morning. Waited a while for a cup of coffee but eventually gave up. As a former f&b person it was disappointing to see the pace and approach of the kitchen/counter staff.

GGuest UserThe location near Bryant Park is ideal. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. I asked for a room that had not recently had a pet stay, because of my allergies, and they actually took the time to check on that. Our ac was not working initially, but when I called, they fixed it quickly. The room was gigantic and smelled fresh but as others have said, the furniture is old. I didn’t mind as the decor was nice, and it was clean, but the couch was disgusting and I avoided sitting on it. The kitchen and bathroom were in good condition. We took the advice to avoid peak elevator times and didn’t have a problem, but that meant we had to get up earlier than we would have liked. We asked for a late checkout and got it; no problem. Overall, I thought the pluses outweighed the minuses.

GGuest UserOnly one elevator. Rooms were small. Hallways and elevator was small also. Could not get down certain areas with wheel chair. 5 people in elevator was a tight fit. Breakfast was mediocre. Some items good some needed improvement. Overall would not recommend unless your a bit desperate.
