Mercure Hotels in Paris

The hotel's location is excellent. It's a short walk to both M6 and C metro lines, which take you directly to Versailles Palace and Notre Dame. Plus, the Eiffel Tower is right next to the hotel, so we got to see it every day coming in and out. We arrived around 10 AM, and after becoming members, they allowed us to check in early. The room size was decent, with enough space to fully open two suitcases. Housekeeping was good; the room was cleaned daily, and hygiene was well-maintained. However, the toiletries were quite disappointing and stingy. There were no slippers, and the shower gel and shampoo were a 3-in-1 product. The drinking cups and mouthwash cups were small disposable paper cups. While the mouthwash cups were replaced daily for a while, we stayed four nights, and by the last day, they were unusable and weren't replaced with new ones after being taken away. Tissues weren't replenished daily either; we had one box for the entire stay, which ran out on the last night. These small details were quite frustrating. Also, they don't provide complimentary bottled water in the room, but there's a free water dispenser in the lobby where you can refill as many times as you like. These are things future guests should be aware of before booking.

Have a pleasant stay at this hotel. Near to train station make it so convenient. Super friendly staff. Definitely will come back.

The room is brand new, with a fresh and exquisite French-style decor. The building itself and the one across the street house Sorbonne University classrooms, making the area very safe and quiet. Beyond the great ambiance, the location in the heart of the 5th arrondissement is unbeatable. It's just a few hundred meters' walk to Café de Flore, Notre Dame Cathedral, Luxembourg Gardens, and the Pantheon.

The room was nice, Mercure's standards are consistently good. I especially loved the Nuxe honey hand soap in the room – it seems impossible to find in pharmacies or duty-free shops! The hotel's parking garage is quite a labyrinth. If you park there first, it's impossible to get your large luggage to your room because the hallways are incredibly narrow. You absolutely must drop off your luggage at the hotel entrance first, then go park in the garage, which costs 22 euros a day. Breakfast at the hotel was a bit of a surprise. You have to cook your own fried eggs and boiled eggs, so be careful not to burn yourself.

5 min walk from train station, bit far from city centre. If come back to hotel later than 10pm, need to ring a bell and wait for a staff to come and open the gate for you. Sometimes it might take longer than few minutes. Other than that, room was spacious and clean.

Decent. Nothing spectacular. Several amenities were really lacking - room phone and tv were spoilt.

Good location, Safe area. However, This hotel is small and weak facilities. Key with magnetic is so weak. So i went to reception to recover, whenever i enter the room after day trip. And no door between room and shower room.

It is easy to find, very good, convenient and comfortable, with convenient transportation, good breakfast, clean room and complete facilities. Next time if I go nearby, I will book this hotel again.

The room is compact but sufficient for two people while the bathroom is quite spacious. Everything is clean and well maintained. The hotel is conveniently located about a 15 minute walk from Gare du Nord, with several bars nearby. Overall it’s a great choice for a short stay as a couple. :)
