When I was looking for a hotel for a 1-night stay in Salzburg, I stumbled upon the listing for the Hyperion and took a chance. I wasn't familiar with the Hyperion hotel brand and didn't know much about Salzburg. Now, I have fallen under the spell of both the hotel and the city. The Hyperion is a fairly new hotel and it is in pristine shape. The room is rather generously sized compared to most of the European hotels I have stayed in thus far. The bathroom was particularly good -- with an American-style shower that featured both a handheld wand and a rain shower head. The separate water closet was a plus. The technology in the room (especially the lighting tech) is impressive, if not slightly confusing. Nice touch to have the Nescafe machine and the Mozart chocolates. The bed was very comfortable. The location, next to Mirabell Gardens, was great. The hotel staff was helpful. We arrived early, and the front desk gave us tips on how to spend our afternoon, drawing out some local attractions on the map and suggesting we get a Salzburg card (we already had them). They also gave us a recommendation for dinner, but we were turned away at the restaurant, which was full. In stead, we dined at the restaurant in the hotel, which was quite nice. Service was solid. Breakfast is a tad expensive, but they do offer a wide assortment of breakfast items (hot and cold) as well as eggs made to order. Champagne was also available for mimosas. Nice touch.

The business trip area is located on the German border, so I stayed in Salzburg to use Salzburg Airport. The location of the hotel was close to Mirabell Park, so morning walks were possible. The hotel reception was luxurious, and I was impressed with the voucher and welcome chocolates to use the cafe. It was nice that the bathroom was also kept clean.

This hotel can be said to be the best in Salzburg at present, and the location is acceptable. Although it is a member of Leading Hotel, it is not a large hotel chain brand. It is understood that this historical brand only has one in Vienna and Salzburg. However, its own Café...coffee with soy milk is relatively good. When paired with soy milk...the taste is like chocolate-flavored mocha coffee, which is very impressive. The hotel doorman, concierge, and front desk are attentive and courteous. What is most worthy of praise... and what many European hotels cannot do is that the service is relatively humane. What I really want to praise is just the service, because the facilities are relatively far behind luxury brand hotels in Asian countries. In particular, the fabric used in the bed sheets and quilt covers can be said to be quite rough, not on par with international brands such as Four Seasons and Mandarin. Fabi. Sorry, if you really want to find fault...that's all. To be honest, the price is not cheap at all, and sleeping for a whole night...if you don't even have comfortable sheets and quilts...it might be really uncomfortable. The dinner service in the restaurant was still up to standard, but what was strange was that...the cup of coffee was very different from the Café's service. I don't think this was an accidental exception. In terms of breakfast presentation... mediocre, nothing noteworthy at all.

I have lived in a more satisfactory hotel in a multi-country tour of Europe. It is a mountain road of a small castle. It is very good to park. The hotel has its own small parking lot. After entering the door, the staff welcomed us warmly and let us sit in the bar with free welcome drinks, the hotel is said to have existed in the 14th century and has been renovated and well maintained. There is a nice fountain in front of the gate that feels aristocratic. There should be more than 20 rooms in total, the room is clean and warm, the view outside the small balcony is the entrance garden. I booked this hotel online after lot of research and went by the brand of ”Best Western”, whose properties I have stayed around the world in the past. However, I would say the experience was much below expectations. Pros 1. Very close to Salzburg train station. It is about 2kms from the station 2. Bus stops are right opposite of hotel so ease of public transport 3. Walking distance to Mirabell Palace and Mozartplatz (main tourist attractions) 4. Several Indian restaurants within walking distance from hotel. 5. I was given a large room so it was good from family point of view 6. Room, bathroom was clean, nice bed, clean bed linen and towels etc 7. Staff at FD was efficient and solved most of our issues quickly. Cons 1. When we checked into room, we noticed that not even electric kettle, tea, coffee was provided in the room. It was provided only after brought into the notice of the front desk. 2. Intercom in the room was not working, so every time you have to go to the FD to inform 3. The room has a very small window at shoulder level, which was quite odd. 4. Salzberg was quite warm during our stay and AC was not working in the room. 5. Breakfast spread was small considering this was a 4 star hotel. 6. The bathroom has peculiar design & it was quite awkward for our Indian sensibilities, that shower enclosure was in glass open to view from all sides from the room. Such arrangement is not suitable if you have older children staying in the same room. We had our 10y old with us and we had to finish our shower before she would wake up. I would rather avoid this hotel in future!!

We were very impressed with everything about Pension Elisabeth. The pension is a 10 minute, level walk from the main station and the directions we were sent prior to arrival were excellent. There is a nearby bus service too. We received a warm welcome from the owner, advice as to where to visit/eat and were then allocated a great bedroom, clean, well decorated and tastefully functional. Shared shower, toilet (this was the option we chose) and hot drink making facilities/microwave were located just outside our room. Breakfast buffet style in the dining room presented a wonderful choice - cereal, bread, preserves, fruit, yoghurt, cheeses, cold meats, boiled eggs, and even pastries! We were very impressed with the whole set up and wouldn't hesitate to stay again or to recommend to friends and family.

Auch einen Abfallkübel konnten wir, mit Ausnahme des kleinen Eimerchens für das Wattebäuschchen zuerst nicht finden. Erst zufällig, als wir die Vorhänge zogen, um einen Schalter für die defekte Beschattung zu finden, war da ein Abfalleimer. Das Bad war voller roter Streifen. Vermutlich vom Nagellack eines/r Gaste s/in. Der Teppich war schmudelig. Die Betten waren super gut.

Not even sure I read reviews for this hotel. I think I booked it with Chase points. The outside of the hotel looks rather nondescript but the inside is beautifully appointed. It looks like an old building that has been renovated on the inside. Rooms are very modern, well lit, and comfortable. We got to peek into some of the other rooms while they were being cleaned and they look amazing! Very nice furniture pieces. Common areas hold the best of the building's older features (bonus points for the awesome grandfather clock by the front desk). Just a few minutes' walk from Old Town and the train station, so a great place to get in and out of Salzburg and explore the city's main attractions. Highly recommend this one - it's truly lovely.

Placé à quelques minutes à pied de la gare, le B&B est à 30 minutes environ de la vieille ville, en longeant la rivière (une bonne partie du trajet est très bien arrangée et jolie). C'est une maison réaménagée en chambres privées. Accueil facile et rapide. Les chambres semblent aménagées depuis très peu de temps. Elles sont relativement petites, et il n'y a que très peu de rangements. Il en est de même dans la salle de bain : bien arrangée, mais ensemble exigu. La literie est très correcte, l'isolation phonique acceptable si la fenêtre est fermée. La climatisation fonctionne bien, la propreté est impeccable. Le petit-déjeuner est très soigné, c'est un plus ! Le rapport qualité-prix parait un peu élevé, mais tout est très cher dans cette ville splendide.

Das Hotel Heffterhof liegt etwas versteckt in einem Wohngebiet, aber dennoch logistisch so gut, da man in die Innenstadt max. 30 min zu Fuß läuft oder den Linienbus Nr. 6 nehmen kann. Die Reservierung Sehr gut per Mail oder über ein Buchungsportal und sehr freundlich und verbindlich im Ton. Die Begrüßung Die jungen, meist weiblichen Personen waren sehr freundlich, um Lösungen bemüht und vorbildlich. Als Stoffel erwies sich jedoch der sogenannte „Chef der Rezeption“, der, ohne genau hinzuhören, unqualifizierte Antworten gab und den sehr guten Eindruck seiner Kolleginnen relativierte. Man merkte den Kolleginnen deutlich an, dass es ihnen auch unangenehm war. An den sogenannten Chef: Nehmen Sie sich ein Beispiel an ihren Kolleginnen und wenn Sie das nicht können oder Ressentiments gegen Personen aus Ihrem Nachbarland hegen, dann wechseln Sie bitte die Branche. Das Zimmer Sehr schön groß, sauber mit einer getrennten Toilette und einem separaten Bad. Laut war es nur, wenn andere Personen auf dem Flur in der Nacht sich laut unterhielten. Ab und zu verfing sich der Duft von Essen in unserem Zimmer. Das Frühstück Sehr gut in allen Bereichen mit vielen regionalen Produkten, sei es bei herzhaften oder süßen Speisen, bei warm oder kalt. Die Bedienung war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Unsere Empfehlung Sehr gerne wieder - vielleicht aber erst dann, wenn der Chef der Rezeption etwas hinzu gelernt hat.
