The location of the hotel is excellent, right around the corner from Nanjing Road and the central shopping area where you can walk down and hit the Bund or Wai Tan. I got upgraded to a suite, and it was lovely, very clean with a very comfortable bed. I used the gym as well, which is very important for me, they have a fantastic gym, with lots of space and new facilities! It is a well-run, very comfortable hotel, worth the stay.

When I checked in, Starry was very kind. I asked for a late checkout and she gave it to me free of charge. I was also upgraded room free of charge which was very nice. I wasn’t overly sure on the amenities the hotel had (pool etc). The room was very clean with a lovely large bed. Good wifi, big TV, water in room, optional mini bar. I ordered some room service for lunch and it was very nice and came within a good time. All staff were very kind. I had a takeout delivered to the hotel and someone (I didn’t get her name) was very kind and helped me on her own phone to lick it up as I didn’t know how to do it. Would definitely stay again!

What we love - its central location, cleanliness, a lot of food choices during breakfast buffet, heated pool. We just had some concerns during booking and check in, it was not indicated that our room has no windows but the reception just gave us this room without windows. Due to winter, temperature control cannot be changed so it tends to be very warm.

Pros: Absolutely beautiful hotel. Very elegant and stylish. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Some staff members can speak English. Near Subway Line 2 (Exit 14). Excellent breakfast. Cons: Hotel refused to return our deposit (paid via Alipay) when we left, citing a ”problem with their bank” (no fault of ours), saying they need 24 hours to return the deposit. This seems to be their default policy. After we insisted it was returned the same day, although a few hours after we have already left Shanghai. This experience left a rather bad impression, and I would not return to stay at this hotel. I would suggest that guests check the hotel's current policy regarding the return of deposits, before they make a reservation.

The hostel exceeded my expectations. Could not relate to the bad reviews about permanent residents dirtying up the place. I didn't encounter any of them. But I did stay in winter, so maybe there were less people. The common area is huge and comfortable. There's a water dispenser in the common area, and also a large collection of beer and drinks. The room can be a little small, but it's sufficient. I've stayed in worse places. The locations is also perfect. Just a stone's throw away from Nanjing Road, and 5 min walk from People's Square station. I see no reason why I would not stay here again.

Just downstairs from Shanghai No. 1 Food Company, it’s the best choice for foodies. The location is good, with convenient transportation from north to south. The room was clean, the service was good, and all the requirements were met. Breakfast is delivered to the room, and the service staff will greet you when you meet in the corridor. Small but complete. Shanghainese are smart and sophisticated. The girls and boys at the front desk are very nice and very enthusiastic.

Plenty of good food around to try out. Simple room, sufficiently furnished for a short stay. My room is slightly noisy from massive tourist crowd/ downstairs, however expected for its location. Price is attractive and affordable.

Check-in wasn’t a good experience, but the hotel was okay after that. When I first checked-in, the room key cards I was given didn’t work, which was frustrating as the room was one of the furthest from reception. This meant I had to go all the way back for new keys after a long day. I just wanted to relax! Then the second room I was given didn’t match the photos on Trip.com, in particular it didn’t have a real window, looking over the dining area rather than outside. But when finally settled into the third room, the stay was okay. It was supposedly an upgrade, but it only looked like the room I had booked. The location is the big plus: right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street which leads to the Bund, both iconic locations that are great to visit. I didn’t have the breakfast as there were no spare seats, so I went to a nearby McDonald’s instead. The hotel needs to enlarge its dining area.

The hotel is close to Nanjing road. You can enjoy with shopping, food. You can find this hotel by looking at blue horse. Room is big , bed is big and big. Mate came to clean our room every day. Bathroom is little old but never mind. The breakfast we had to pick up at reception every morning. They provide banana, bun, soy milk which you can be full in the morning but a little boring.

We liked the hotel, its location is wonderful, the service is quite good. It's situated in the downtown area, there are lots of shops and cafes nearby, and the main pedestrian street is very close to the hotel. The room contains everything you need for everyday's life, especially I loved the bathtub, it's clean, snowy white, however it's not so big, but nevertheless it's cosy and nice. The bed, the thick curtains let you sleep until lunchtime 😂 the breakfast is quite good, it includes eggs in 4 variants, coffee, tea, milk, cereal, salami, ham, cheese, pastry, fruit, vegetables, different Chinese food, yoghurt. I haven't seen the iron and ironing board in the hotels before, that's pretty much cool. The small kitchen also contains dishes, cutlery set for two, a cooking pot and pan, a microwave oven, a small fridge, so you can cook something. Thank you for this wonderful stay in Shanghai. If we are in Shanghai once again, we would love to stay in green court again!!!

The location is perfect. Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is just downstairs. You can see two pieces of the three-piece set while sitting by the window. It only takes about twenty minutes to walk to the Bund with the kids. The breakfast buffet is very rich, the staff are very enthusiastic and have a good attitude. The room was very spacious and I didn't hear any noise after staying there for three days.

The hotel is conveniently located and there are many restaurants nearby. The hotel staff are friendly, nice and helpful. Just 2 things that caused certain inconveniences. 1. The staff took away the bath mat and forgot to replace a new one. 2. The door could not be closed tightly in the shower room and water did leak out of the door. Overall stay is satisfactory and I will stay again.

✨ [First glance into the room] The location of the room is very good, parking and taxi! Going downstairs in a straight line of about 200 meters, you will arrive at Nanjing Road… it is also very close to the Chenghuang Temple! The most worth stressing is that after checking out, I found that the ring was left in the room. The landlord arranged for the first time to clean and didn't find it. After communication, I went to help find it again. I finally found it and sent it back to the courier! So: highly recommended! The landlord and the cleaning aunt are very good! !

A few years ago, I applied for a meal card in the corner cafeteria. By coincidence, the hotel I booked this time is just across from it. The Youth Hostel is a forest! The handsome store manager, the service is very attentive, and the girl at the front desk is very warm and feels at home! Before I left, I also borrowed a book. I didn't expect the manager to lend it to me very quickly. This location is very convenient from the center of the New World Zhongbaiyi Store in People’s Square on the Bund. All downstairs are online celebrity shops, which provide one-stop food, lodging and transportation, beside Nanjing Road

It is very convenient. It is adjacent to the Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. Every day, you can see the queue at the side door of the No. 1 Food Store to buy freshly baked butterfly pastries, and smell the aroma of baking cream cheese. The location is a big plus as it is near metro and also the hotel is at Nanjing Road, People’s Square, close to The Bund and other places. My itinerary started around 2pm. I arrived Shanghai at 11am from Pudong Airport. ＞ Nanjing Road ＞ The Bund ＞ Yu Yuan Garden ＞ Shanghai Old Town Then went back to roam around. Found Cathedrals along the way (not sure of the names) ＞ Around 7pm I joined the Tour Bus which is 40RMB for 40minutes and will take you to the other side where the Shanghai Tower and Oriental Pearl Tower located. You can see them upclose. The receptionist was helpful on my checked-out day as she helped me to call a taxi to my next destination. The only downside of this hotel is the cleanliness of the room and corridor. I found a hair on my bed, even inside the duvet. Under the table was so dusty. Toothpick at the corridor. Which I believe can improve next time. :) All in all. It’s a great hotel and great location.
