We had a lovely big room Yell overlooking the garden. The hotel was peaceful and quiet even though there were some big groups staying. Always plenty of hot water and heating which was needed after being in the cold winds at Shetland. Staff very helpful and polite - they helped us book ferries to Yell and Unst. Breakfast and dinner very plentiful - too much for me at times but you can ask for a half portion. Lovely lounge to relax in on an evening. Highly recommend and we hope to be back at spring time in a couple of years

Lovely comfortable hotel in a beautiful location. Comfortable beds, well appointed rooms and exceptional food. Great choice of whisky. Staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we could only stay for one night but can't wait to return.

This our 4th time staying for a weekend getaway and as usual didn't disapoint. We stayed in Nibon, one of the newly refurbished rooms which was warm, comfortable and modern. We had a 3 course meal in the restaurant as part of our stay package and the food was amazing, great service and lovely staff. After our meal we retired to Long Room and relaxed in the Chesterfield chairs whilst sampling the impressive selection of whisky in the display cabinet with a handy guide and price list to hand. Overall a fantastic place to escape and relax.

Chaotic chambermaid service.
The chamber maid service was rather chaotic. Insufficient towels provided two nights running. Half bottle of wine removed. Bottle of water exploded when opened (apparently a known problem and bottle should have been opened.)
