Amazing
GGuest UserExtremely satisfied with my stay! The hotel is located about a 5-minute walk from Exit 2 of Seodaemun Subway Station, nestled in an alley near an intersection. It's only three stops to Gongdeok Station, making it super convenient for transferring to other lines. Right outside the subway, there's a Lotteria fast food, a GS25 convenience store, Gong Cha, Paris Baguette, Mega Coffee, and several restaurants – truly a prime location. Self check-in and check-out were a breeze; you just type in the booker's name on the machine. The environment is pleasant, and the room was very clean, though it might be a bit tight to open two large suitcases simultaneously. A great tip: if you wash clothes, hang them in the shower room with the heater on, and they'll be dry by the next day, no need to use the dryer on the first floor. Both the bed and pillows were very comfortable, and they provided a well-stocked set of disposable toiletries. No need to separate trash; just leave it outside your door before 11 AM daily. They even collected our trash on the third day. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Seoul!
JJulia_GThis is a great hotel right in the heart of the city, close to several metro stations and in the middle of a lively nightlife area. It’s practically across the street from the airport bus stop, which makes it very convenient when traveling with luggage. Despite the central location, it was quiet at night.
The hotel occupies the 4th and 5th floors of the building, with a Thai restaurant on the lower floors. The room was simple but had enough storage space. Since I was staying alone, it felt quite spacious though for two people it might be a bit tight. The only real inconvenience was the shower without an enclosed cabin, but everything dried quickly and there was no musty smell, so it wasn’t a big issue.
Although the hotel is relatively new, some areas already show a bit of wear, but it didn’t affect my stay at all. Everything that mattered was clean and well-maintained. I really liked that guests can help themselves to fresh towels, toilet paper, or bottled water at any time. There’s also a small kitchen area where you can make coffee or instant noodles, as well as washing machines available for use.
Special thanks to the hotel manager. He was very kind and helpful and quickly solved my luggage storage issue. It’s also very convenient that you can contact the hotel through several different messaging apps.
I stayed for six days, and the only minor downside was that the air in the room felt a bit stuffy when returning after a day out (since the air conditioner was off all day), but that was easily fixed by turning it back on.

Great
凯凯特29This hotel is super close to the metro station, literally about a minute's walk, and it's really easy to find! The hotel itself is lovely and has a pleasant fragrance as soon as you walk in. They even have little snacks by the door, which is a very thoughtful touch. Check-in and check-out are entirely self-service and straightforward. If you need any help, there's contact info for the staff in the room's manual, and they're really enthusiastic about assisting you. The room is a bit on the small side, but for a short person, it's not an issue. Plus, there's a luggage storage service downstairs with real-time monitoring, so we could explore with peace of mind. I genuinely recommend this place!

GGuest UserPros:
- The manager was nice
- Hotel was clean and location is nice
- Hot spring is as good as advertised
Cons:
- We arrived at 7am, no staff was present in the counter and we used the Kiosk machine to virtually contact a staff because we only wanted to drop our bag (likely outsourced as we heard there was customer service like conversation and keyboards in the background). We were told to either drop our luggage next to the kiosk machine or we could wait until 9am as the manager will be back at 9. We weren't aware there was office of a spa hotel so we went out for a coffee and came back at around 8:50 in the morning and waited until 9:10. We called again and the lady said the manager will be back at 10am. We wanna make sure if there was staff actually coming but the kiosk cut our line and never picked up our call again. We had no choice but to wait and at last we waited till 9:45 (almost a 3 hour wait) and finally we could drop our bag. If there was office hour of the hotel it should be clearly stated for bad drop and available reception office hour.
When we checked out, we would like to keep our bags and the female staff (not the friendly manager mentioned in the pros) was rather rude and told us we could only leave our bag here until 4pm, and told us. in Korea you can only keep your bag until 4. I wasn't sure if it is true but it was different to my previous experience in other Korean hotel.
Overall I would say the hotel was nice, certainly not spacious but it was clean and tidy. Good environment overall I would say. It was however not an enjoyable experience because of the staff and services provided. Be reminded to check their office hours when planning your trip.

ZZG TongzThe location is super convenient, really close to the subway! There are also lots of restaurants along the way. Plus, there's a convenience store right downstairs, which is a huge plus! Even though it's self check-in with no front desk, you can store your luggage downstairs, which is really handy. The only minor downside was that the duvet cover and pillowcase had a few small stains, but considering the price and location, it was still absolutely perfect.

EEski-300I recently stayed at Hotel Stay Passport Sapporo Ryokan Seoul Hongdae, and it was honestly one of the most unique and memorable accommodations I’ve experienced in Seoul.
First of all, the location in the Hongdae area is unbeatable. It’s just a short walk from the main Hongdae shopping streets and subway station, which made it incredibly convenient for exploring cafés, restaurants, street performances, and nightlife. Despite being close to all the action, the ryokan itself felt peaceful and quiet at night, which made it easy to rest comfortably.
What really makes this place stand out is its Japanese-inspired ryokan concept combined with Korean hospitality. The tatami-style flooring, traditional low tables, and futon bedding gave the room an authentic, cozy atmosphere. The futon was surprisingly comfortable, and the bedding was fresh and impeccably clean. As a foreign guest, I especially appreciated how clearly everything was explained—from how to use the room features to house etiquette—making the experience smooth and stress-free.
The facilities were extremely well-maintained. The shared spaces were spotless, and the bathrooms were clean, modern, and stocked with quality toiletries. Towels were fresh, and there was always hot water with strong water pressure. Small details like slippers, luggage storage space, and secure access made the stay even more comfortable

You can never search ”Aank Hotel Cheongnyangni” in Naver Map. Definitely, you will panic if you don't do research on the hotel location before you book. It's because the hotel name in Naver Map is called [Anook Hotel Cheongnyangni]. The hotel is located in a local people's area and very close to the Cheongnyangni wholesale seafood, fruit, and vegetable market. If you like Korean strawberries, please buy them here, as they're super cheap and fresh as compared to Gwangjang traditional market.
If you rely on public transportation, you need to walk quite a distance to the bus stop or railway station. Not to say it's far, but if you are carrying luggage, walking from Changnyangni Station to the hotel will take a 6-min walk and be tiring. From the hotel to Myeongdong Shopping Street will take 30 min by bus.
This is important before you book a hotel!!! You are unable to enter your room straight from the hotel lobby. It's because you have to climb up to Level 2 via a tiny and tight stairway on the side of the building (each time just one person goes up and down). Then only you can use the elevator from level 2 to your room. For me, we have two 28' pieces of baggage, and hauling them up to the level is difficult and demands a lot of power. If you are a women, it may be a little tough, and I'm not sure if the receptionist in the lobby can help.
Do not book the ”PC room” for a couple; the PC will take up some space where you will find it very difficult to open your luggage and have very little space to walk.
Despite its small size, the room has been considered to be tidy. I assume the floor has been heated because it is warm. This is ideal, particularly if you are traveling during the winter. The bathroom doesn't smell. The water pressure is excellent! However, the floor will become wet because it without a shower screen or curtain.
The best part of this hotel is you can get a water dispenser, cereal, milk, and cup noodles for free in the self-service corner in the hotel lobby.
GGuest UserThe bathtub drain was quite clogged, which was a bit of a struggle. However, the TV remote in my room wasn't working properly, and when I reported it, the staff were very helpful and resolved the issue. The room itself was comfortable and very clean. I also liked that they provided face masks as part of the amenities. Plus, the location near Sinchon Station was excellent, making transportation very convenient. Overall, I was very satisfied with this place, especially considering the price. I highly recommend it.

AAnonymous UserGreat location, with a subway station and bus stops nearby. The room is tiny, like a goshiwon (a type of small, affordable room often found in Korea), only suitable for one person. The entire check-in process is self-service, making it ideal for a quick one-night stay.
GGuest UserThis hotel’s facilities were outdated. The heating system was confusing to operate and the room was extremely hot. There was also a strong smell of cigarette smoke. If you are considering choosing this hotel, I recommend researching it carefully.
