DDouglas_TFrom the moment I stepped out of the car until I reached my room, someone was there to assist me. When I opened the door, the turndown service was already done, and my charging cables were neatly organized and plugged in. By the bed, there was water and a sealed glass. I've stayed in many hotels, both domestically and internationally, but very few make me feel comfortable enough to use their kettle and glasses. The entire service process was seamless and unobtrusive, yet they anticipated every detail I could possibly need for my trip.

AAnonymous UserExcellent, truly lives up to its six-star rating, but there's still room for improvement. The service is great; every staff member is incredibly kind, attentive, and always smiling. I didn't have time to try out the facilities this time, but I'll definitely be back. Next time, I hope to stay a bit longer.

RRenzhenrenThis hotel is perfectly located! It's just south of Seoul City Hall Square and west of Myeongdong. The subway station is only a few dozen meters from the lobby entrance, and Sejong-daero is right to the west. It's also not far from the major palaces and Namsan, so the location couldn't be better. The staff are very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. While the facilities might feel a bit more compact compared to newly built five-star hotels in China, they are well-maintained and perfectly adequate. Overall, it offers great value for money.

AAnonymous UserThe room was very comfortable, and the location was excellent – right outside the Chinese Embassy. Plus, there were free snacks during check-in! The staff were really helpful with luggage and arranging taxis. Just a heads-up: avoid the convenience store downstairs; the staff there are incredibly rude and you can't eat inside. There are plenty of other options all over the street anyway!

GGuest UserI had to cancel 1 night and even though i submitted the request within the amendment period, it was conveyed to the hotel and by the time the hotel responded, it had past the deadline. I felt that I was caught in between trip.com and the hotel, the time taken to communicate the amendment was delayed because of the communication time between the 2. When I arrived to stay the 1 night, the staff were so unaware of how to do service recovery - they know that I paid almost SGD1000 for 1 night, perhaps they could have upgraded the room or just provided breakfast. But no, they say they can’t change anything in that booking. Like seriously, you guys shouldn’t be in the service industry! I laughed when I saw that welcome message from the hotel GM in my tv screen. Never again in this hotel. And trip is not blameless too. You should always set deadlines taking into account response time between hotel and trip.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel employee was very thoughtful and provided us with free room upgrade and a slice of cake because of our wedding anniversary. That was very considerate and nice gesture. Also warm water in the pool was a big bonus. However, there are few things I would like to point out which are important for us as a family traveling with a kid: 1) children are not allowed to play screen golf. That was upsetting since we never had such issue at other hotels. Also you need to reserve time slot first, which doesn’t work for people who came to Seoul for tourism or leisure purposes. 2) children are only allowed to enter pool until 17:00. That’s extremely strange since many people check in after 15:00 and there would be no time to swim at all in that case. Also people mainly prefer to do shopping and sightseeing and relax at pool when they return in the evening. So this restriction is very strange for us. In that case hotel needs to either notify the guests during reservation or turn it into “adults only” hotel. 3) hotel has a very strict check in check out rules: 15:00 check in and 11:00 check out, not 30 min later/earlier; while standard international check in is 14:00 and check out 12:00. Usually hotels especially 5 stars hotels are very flexible and let guests check in 1-2h earlier if the guests already arrived and would allow them check out 30min-1h later without any issue. 4) Gym and pool close at 21:30. That’s very early compare to other hotels, where facilities usually work until 23:00 and sometimes even 24h. 5) Gym, sauna and pool are not exclusive to the hotel guests only. Anybody with paid membership can enter, which makes it crowded and inconvenient for hotel guests, especially on holidays and weekends. Also you need to take 2 different lifts and walk by the bridge to get there (basically it’s not the same building as hotel) I would say it’s not a 5 star hotel, but more like a premium residence, that is suitable for a long term stay without children.

GGuest UserThe breakfast was really varied and delicious, and the atmosphere was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's super convenient for getting around since the subway station is right nearby. It's only two stops to Myeongdong and three stops to Shinsegae Department Store. The family room, in particular, was a highlight – our kids absolutely loved it and didn't want to leave!

제제공주The check-in process was very quick, but the room was huge, and there were no directions to the building. I wandered around for a while, getting drenched in the rain outside. I had to ask the staff to find my way (the check-in building was across the street, and there were no directions at check-in). Upon entering the room, I immediately noticed various hairs on the floor: brown hair, short hair, curly hair. Even in the bathroom, hair was visible, and there were hairs scattered throughout the room. - If you look closely at the photo, you can see hair. It wasn't my hair, and the color and length were completely different from ours. The floor was dirty from the moment we walked in. In all my staycations, I've never had to change rooms because of hair... This is the first time I've ever stayed in a 5-star hotel. The area near the head of the bed where the light was was covered in dead bugs and dust. I made a reservation in advance, but it was 390,000 won, and on the day, it was reduced to 320,000 won (I guess it was because it rained). I was looking forward to the pool because it was a popular Instagram spot, but outdoor pools like Incheon Paradise or Hyatt seem much better. The indoor pool was truly the best I've ever been to. And the buffet was offering a 15% discount for hotel guests that day. We had dinner for 240,000 won for two, and it was excellent value for money. I would definitely go back for the hotel buffet, but I wouldn't go back for the room. 🥹 The staff member who came to change my room was very kind, which I appreciated, but it was 400,000 won per night on a weekday. ㅠㅡㅠ It was a disappointing staycation. Also, the pool and all the facilities here close from 7 PM to 10 PM, so it's dark. Room service ends around 10:30 PM, I think. I contemplated going home late at night, but I quickly fell asleep.

OOlga AtbashyanMy stay at the Grand Hyatt Seoul was genuinely impressive. What made the biggest difference for me was the location — it’s truly excellent. There are so many great breakfast spots, restaurants, and shops nearby, and it’s easy to explore the area on foot. Having the metro close by is also a huge plus. It was my first time in Korea, and I honestly felt a bit anxious about where I would stay. But the moment I arrived, those worries disappeared — the area feels lively, safe, and very comfortable to navigate. The hotel itself isn’t brand new, but it’s well maintained. The service is solid, housekeeping is reliable, and overall everything works as it should. Nothing flashy — just consistently good. But really, the location makes this place stand out. It’s one of those rare hotels you actually want to come back to. And I definitely would.

SSireerat LaodheerasiriThe type of room we had reserved is the apartment type that consist of 3 bedrooms and 1 living room. The size is big but there is no daily service to clean the room. The apartment is located in the front area of the hotel, separating from the hotel. The CU shop (24hrs) was easily to walk in 5 min. The location is far from the subway so using taxi is more convenient.
