"The hotel was located in the middle of Myeongdong just a few minutes from the main shopping street, with a bus and metro station only a 2 minute walk away. It’s also one of the more affordable options, making it both convenient & budget-friendly.
It was the perfect base for exploring Seoul with ease. The rooms were clean & had all the necessary amenities. The receptionist was incredibly kind, very welcoming & helpful. He even made personalized stamps with our names for us to use during our stay, which was such a thoughtful touch.
I would definitely recommend this hotel!"

"It was a wonderful experience. I was booking accommodation to work. The WiFi and the room were great. I was a little lost when checking in, but the host helped me.
Location near the subway station, quiet area. There are many cafes around. It was a comfortable location for me, but it's little far from tourist attractions. But it's perfect just for life.
I'll definitely stop here again."

Amazing
GGuest UserMy stay at Lotte Hotel Seoul truly exceeded my expectations, I'm extremely satisfied.
The hotel's location is superb. It's right in Myeongdong, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. Plus, there's direct access to Lotte Department Store downstairs. The subway station is also very close, making getting around a breeze.
The room was exceptionally clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent. Even though it's in the city center, it was very quiet, allowing for a good rest.
I especially want to highlight the room service. The variety was extensive, and the food quality was just as good as outside restaurants. Guests also get a discount, which is great value and encourages dining in. Breakfast was also very good, with a wide selection and high quality.
The most impressive aspect was the staff's service. Everyone was smiling, warm, and friendly. Whether it was asking for information or making an extra request, they handled everything quickly and meticulously, making you feel valued. From the front desk to room service and housekeeping, the service quality across all departments was top-notch, demonstrating their professionalism and dedication.
Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Seoul, and I highly recommend it to friends.

Amazing
GGuest UserIf you're staying in Myeongdong, I highly recommend this established hotel. The subway entrance is right downstairs, and there's a bus stop just across the street. Lotte Department Store is also right next door. The location is absolutely unbeatable! The cleanliness and service are excellent, and the staff are not only good-looking but also very gentle. The breakfast is quite delicious. The only downside is that the room is a bit small, but that's to be expected given the location.

AAF2310The location is good, directly opposite of the lake and next to Lotte world mall. To MTR it’s 5-7mins.
The front desk staff is not accommodative at all, any request is like „no, we can’t“ attitude.
As of the cleanness and amenities, first of all, the shower head did not work properly, the aircon did not work during the first night ( better the second and third) and the tooth brush glass had stains when I checked in ( see photo attached )
Overall, not recommended for luxury stay, but if it’s just a family vacay, why not.
CCiqingdaThe view is great, and as a suite, it's generally very good with no major drawbacks. The suite includes breakfast, afternoon tea, and happy hour. I didn't take photos of the breakfast, but it was extremely rich and delicious. Afternoon tea is shown in the pictures; there were no alcoholic beverages. The lighting and curtains are all smart-controlled, and there's an iPad by the bed to contact the hotel for requests. The space is also ample. The shower water pressure is excellent; both the overhead and handheld showers can be used simultaneously, and there's a seat. Various types of pillows are provided, such as memory foam pillows. Seoul's air quality is often poor, so the room is equipped with an air purifier, and you can call to have a humidifier delivered.
The location is convenient, with the subway station just a 5-minute walk away.
If I had to point out a drawback, the hotel has indeed been open for a number of years, and some basic features are a bit old. For example, the air conditioning lacks any advanced functions like scheduled shut-off; it only has a single temperature and fan speed setting.

EemilieQComfortable and clean, but most importantly, it's incredibly close to Myeongdong shopping street, just a 3-minute walk away. I highly recommend the executive floor rooms. While the breakfast and dinner at the club lounge aren't as varied as a typical buffet, they are more than sufficient and delicious. We left full every morning, and after a long day of shopping, we didn't have to worry about finding food. If I come back to Korea, I will definitely stay at Le Méridien Seoul Myeongdong again! 😁

AAnonymous UserThe hotel employee was very thoughtful and provided us with free room upgrade and a slice of cake because of our wedding anniversary. That was very considerate and nice gesture. Also warm water in the pool was a big bonus.
However, there are few things I would like to point out which are important for us as a family traveling with a kid:
1) children are not allowed to play screen golf. That was upsetting since we never had such issue at other hotels. Also you need to reserve time slot first, which doesn’t work for people who came to Seoul for tourism or leisure purposes.
2) children are only allowed to enter pool until 17:00. That’s extremely strange since many people check in after 15:00 and there would be no time to swim at all in that case. Also people mainly prefer to do shopping and sightseeing and relax at pool when they return in the evening. So this restriction is very strange for us. In that case hotel needs to either notify the guests during reservation or turn it into “adults only” hotel.
3) hotel has a very strict check in check out rules: 15:00 check in and 11:00 check out, not 30 min later/earlier; while standard international check in is 14:00 and check out 12:00. Usually hotels especially 5 stars hotels are very flexible and let guests check in 1-2h earlier if the guests already arrived and would allow them check out 30min-1h later without any issue.
4) Gym and pool close at 21:30. That’s very early compare to other hotels, where facilities usually work until 23:00 and sometimes even 24h.
5) Gym, sauna and pool are not exclusive to the hotel guests only. Anybody with paid membership can enter, which makes it crowded and inconvenient for hotel guests, especially on holidays and weekends. Also you need to take 2 different lifts and walk by the bridge to get there (basically it’s not the same building as hotel)
I would say it’s not a 5 star hotel, but more like a premium residence, that is suitable for a long term stay without children.
AAlicialin1111Excellent location if you want it to be right beside a train station (not sheltered) and a drop-off point for the airport limousine bus. However, it is a 15-minute walk from Myeongdong. There is a Namdaemun market directly opposite the hotel, but it closes at night. I did not try the hotel breakfast as it is served at a Thai restaurant.
The bed linen was not changed for five nights despite my requesting it on the third night. I went out one day to ask the staff to clean the room, but strangely, the 'do not disturb' sign was on when we returned, and the room had not been cleaned. It would be better if the hotel replenished essential supplies and left them outside the room upon our return, instead of us having to call and ask for supplies here and there, which is very inconvenient for both parties when multiple calls and trips are needed.

AAndyC9999Upon check in, we asked for a 2 twin beds room, without even checking by the staff, I already heard no. Then she asked me for my credit card, didn’t even mention how much limits she gonna hold. Anyway.
During the stay, there were zero turn down services. I called and asked why and I was told that we had to request for it. First time hearing this from a Fairmont. Totally disappointed. The bathroom lights were flashing (a bit scary at night), light bulbs had to be replaced I guess, called someone to come take a look. Didn’t expect they didn’t even offer a room change. So I guess they came in to fix the light while we were out.
On the day of checking out, I called to request for a late check out. Without checking, rejected me. I had to ask again and got an extra 30 mins. Standard check out time is 11am, which is already ridiculous, got extended to 11:30, what a joke. Will never stay here again and might even stay away from all Accor hotels.

DDeRickSBSPOther than the nice big toilet with a translucent window so the toilet is a lot brighter, the 5-star hotel has been quite underwhelming for me because it was not as if their services were exceptional.
Moreover, many of the amenities required additional payment, and I thought the premium I paid for my hotel room was for the nice amenities that they had.
The gym was open to guests, and it was pretty decent, as advertised in their photos with many sets of nice machines. I was also quite disappointed that the gym closed on every first Wednesday of the month, and missed out on a gym session that I had planned for.
Moreover, the swimming pool was underwhelming, as it is definitely not as amazing and it wasn't under natural light as they advertised in their photos.
YYunhaI booked the Timber Room. The location was fantastic, especially being in the Gangbuk area. While the parking lot was spacious, the corners on the ramps going up and down were extremely narrow, requiring careful navigation. The 'mountain view' wasn't really visible from our room; I kept the curtains drawn because it felt like people right next door could easily see inside, which was a bit disappointing. The swimming pool was decent, and all the staff members were very friendly. Although I didn't try breakfast, it's known to be excellent, so I plan to have it on my next visit. The TV in the living room wasn't working for some reason. I was too lazy to try and fix it, so I just ate without it. It was a shame there was no table, and the sofa felt quite old, which was also a minor drawback. Despite these minor issues, there was absolutely no noise from upstairs, downstairs, or neighboring rooms. Opening the living room window let in lovely bird sounds, making it feel very nature-friendly.
