I took the high-speed rail to Shaoshan South Station and the owner picked me up in person. The room was clean and tidy. I had three meals in the store. I ate Mao's braised pork. The homestay was not far from the scenic spots. The distance was just right. The square memorial hall was not far away. I was satisfied with this trip.

This is a very typical rural B&B, with a restaurant on the first floor and guest rooms on the second and third floors. The B&B is located in a village at the entrance of the scenic spot. Parking is allowed and pets are allowed. It is about 500 meters away from the former residence of the elders and the Bronze Statue Square. The owner's service is warm and the room is clean. The facilities are simple and outdated. The bathroom did not provide bath towels and there was no shower. The bedding may be too basic and make a twitching sound when you turn over. In Shaoshan in March, the temperature at night was very low, so I needed to turn on the air conditioner, but the sound from the outdoor air conditioner was loud, like a tractor. When I turned off the air conditioner, the same sound came from the outdoor air conditioners in other rooms, and the quilt was a little thin. Great choice for light sleepers. It’s okay to just pass by on a self-driving tour and stay overnight.

I came to Xiangtan from Changsha for a short trip and chose a hotel close to Xiangtan Museum. The hotel may have been open for a long time, and the elevator in the building is a bit old. The check-in floor is different from the actual check-in floor, which is a bit inconvenient. But fortunately, the indoor environment is not bad, and the room has a wide view. The TV is a little small, but other facilities in the room are not a big problem. Overall, a good experience. Recommended to stay.

The owners of this place are the nicest people ever! Even though we did not ask, they gave us a ride to and from the train station as well as to Chairman Mao's former residence. The location is great, it would not have been a long walk but the ride made our visit even smoother. The hosts gave us Chairman Mao pins for free and made us delicious breakfast for a really cheap price. They truly are such nice people! They don't speak much English but I'm sure you would manage just fine with a translator app. The room was a great fit for us, two couples travelling together, and it had everything we needed. We only stayed for one night since there is not a whole lot to see in this town but we would have loved to stay for longer just because the hosts were so nice. The room is clean and hygienic, the air inside is good, the conditions are very good, and it's affordable! The location is good. It takes 5 to 6 minutes to walk to the pedestrian street. Parking is convenient. Recommended by friends who come to Shaoshan (๑＞◡＜๑)👍🏻

The bathroom featured a clear separation between the wet and dry areas, pleasantly scented brand-name toiletries, instant hot water at a consistent temperature, and thick, soft towels and bath towels. Cleanliness was impeccable; every corner of the room, table, and even the hard-to-reach areas of the bathroom were spotless, with no stains or hair visible. The service was truly exceptional! Check-in at the front desk was efficient and quick, and the staff proactively introduced the hotel facilities and local travel tips – thoughtful and professional. When I needed an extra pillow, room service delivered it within minutes, with warm and attentive service throughout. From the facilities to the service, every detail reflected the hotel's dedication, making guests feel truly at home. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit this city, and I highly recommend it!
