DDerek NormanThe stars of this hotel are the staff particularly the manager, Act, who could not be more helpful. She made everything about my stay easy and stress free.
The hotel itself is just across the quiet island road from the beach. Here there is white sand and crystal clear water. To the left is the busier section with all the normal beach activities together with bars and restaurants. It is just a 15 min walk into town this way. To the right the beach is quieter.
If you continue along the beach to the right you can follow the coast path which ‘hops’ from bay to bay making for a pleasant walk.
The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. You are supplied with everything you need including snacks, beach bag, wet bag, beach towel and beach mat.
I had a wonderful stay at Green Bay and thoroughly recommend it.

GGuest UserI lived on the island for a few days. A few days ago, I was in other hotels by the beach. The humidity and darkness are very uncomfortable. Because it is convenient to take a boat the next day, I changed to this hotel near the dock and the main street on the last day. Its decoration style is simple and clean. The bedding is soft. There is a bad place. The seal is not very good. Someone in the next room is smoking on the balcony. The smell is uncomfortable. I also heard the next door quarreling. The soundproofing of the room is not good. Try to keep your voice as low as possible. Maybe I will choose to live in this area next time. It seems to be a relatively balanced choice on Samet Island.

GGuest UserMy impressions of staying at the hotel are mixed – I wouldn't say it was bad, but it wasn't great either. The service is okay, the girls are very friendly and try their best. The cabin is small, a bit cramped for two people. There's only a mirror in the bathroom, and you can't dry your hair because there's an outlet in the room. When you shower, the entire floor gets wet. I solved the problem by buying a wipe and wiping it down afterward. The mattress is a whole other story – terribly squeaky; you can't turn over or get out of bed without the annoying squeak. And then there are the mosquitoes. I was bitten all over, from head to toe. Buy some mosquito spray right away, otherwise they'll eat you. The view from the terrace is certainly beautiful; you can lie right on the bed and look out at the sea and the pier. But you have to be very careful walking up to the cabin; there are huge boulders and steep steps below. There's no private beach; we went for a swim further along the shore, but sand flies bit us there. Would I go again? Maybe for one, two nights at most. Just lie down, listen to the sound of the surf, look at the sea... We stayed for six nights, which is a long time. Oh, and there are lots of dogs there. They're not aggressive, they beg for food, wag their tails, but you can hear them barking at night.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel was right at the beach so it was very convenient. It also has a nice restaurant with breakfast, lunch, dinner menus so we never had to go too far for food. Some of the hotel staff were very nice and kind, some were cranky but that's alright.
The AC in our room was leaking and we informed the hotel but they could only provide us towels to deal with the leakage. I booked quite last minute so I can't really complain with the room choice.
All in all, I do recommend the hotel.

The room was super cool and in a good area near the port and the beach
The beach is so beautiful and I’d recommend to anyone. The hotel was a nice distance from the 7 eleven
However 2 sneaky little geckos was spotted in the room and woke up with lots of bites did check out early but was also backpacking and was more of a chill vibe. Be warned there is an entry fee onto the island

GGuest UserPlease be aware: if you don't book the deluxe room, you will not receive a bungalow, but rather a room located in a rather unattractive main building. I found this quite misleading, as all the pictures shown online exclusively featured the bungalows. For this reason, I strongly recommend booking the deluxe room. My negative rating applies *solely* to the standard (non-bungalow) room and the deceptive images presented during the booking process. The photos displayed are NOT what you will get when booking a standard room!

GGuest UserA beautiful hotel located on the beach. The room has everything you need. The place is quiet, few people, calm. Beautiful clean beach, the only thing is that I was very badly bitten on this beach on the first evening by small Thai flies, similar to midges, and an allergy to their bites began. They do not bite everyone and not everyone is allergic to them. But if you have encountered this, you mean. On the central beach, no one bites. It is about 2 km away. You can walk to the center or take a local taxi for 200 baht. If you get on at the ”stop” you can leave for 40 baht, but they rarely stop there.

MMarinaОстанавливаемся в этой гостинице второй год. Расположена она очень удачно в самом центре пляжа возле пирса и парковки. Можно добраться сразу на катере, а если от парома на тук-туке, то надо смотреть, чтобы привезли в этот поворот, потому что часто привозят в первый поворот к другим гостиницам, а оттуда по песку с чемоданами далеко и неудобно. Эта дорога прямо в центре пляжа, они идет к зданию охраны заповедника. В прошлом году был новый ремонт, мебель не новая, но все работает. В прошлом году не было ТВ каналов, но был Youtube, в этом году не брали фильмы с собой, понадеялись, что посмотрим в Youtube, но он теперь не работает, только ТВ каналы на тайском, в основном новости и реклама. Хотя это странно, в гостинице жили только иностранцы, можно было хоть один канал на английском подключить или оставить Youtube. В гостинице всего 6 номеров, рядом массаж и ресторан соседней гостиницы. В отличие от соседних гостиниц в этой есть свои лежаки на пляже, очень удобно. Управляющий плохо говорит по-английски, но всегда очень дружелюбный и старается во всем помочь, проблем в коммуникации не было. В этом году стало намного больше туристов на пляже, стало много лодок и катеров, такого спокойствия и умиротворения как в прошлом году уже нет, но вода очень чистая, песок белоснежный, все еще похоже, что это заповедник.

VV.D.There are 4 or 5 hotel building that belong to the owner. The ones that are 2 steps away from the beach are newer. The ones in the back are a bit older. And the ones that I had needed some renovations but not much. Iif you’re looking for delux 5 stars this isn’t the place. But if you’re looking for decent and very close to the beach this is very good for the price you pay. The owner of the hotel is friendly and if you ask him he will try to help. The beach is very clean and the hotel has long chairs and tables you can sit and order in front on the beach looking at the water. You can drink, eat and go for a swim and comeback to sit. That’s what makes this hotel great. As I said the beach is very clean and my 1.5 year old child had fun on the sand and a bit in the water.

AAnonymous UserThe family room is average in my opinion. The wooden house is old and noisy at night. The shower in the toilet is very small, but there is breakfast. It is a few steps away from the beach. The hotel is not located at the pier. After staying here for a few days, we moved to the pier. I didn't book the new hotel with Ctrip app, so I asked directly. It is cheaper, more affordable and cleaner. The hotel we booked later is very close to the pier and the largest beach. It is very convenient. I still live here now and play for two more days! The second picture is the hotel we booked later. The hygiene is very good. You can compare it. The family room of the new hotel is also very cheap and very nice. We will move in tomorrow. We mainly go to the beach to lie down. We don't have high requirements for hotels. We don't think it's necessary to pay one or two thousand yuan a night for a room on the island, hehe
