Rayong City Hotels with Gym

We booked two rooms with a connecting door, which at first looked great with a nice river view. However, at 9 p.m., the air conditioner in one of the rooms broke down. After we informed the hotel, a member of the front office team suddenly appeared and handed us a new room keycard without even asking if we wanted to move. We didn’t, as our main priority for staying here was the connecting rooms. He then said it would surely take a long time to fix the issue, but we were fine with waiting. Surprisingly, the engineering team fixed it within 15 minutes. This made me think the hotel staff were just too lazy to fix it right away. Also, the morning egg station chef always seemed very serious, which made our mornings feel a bit too serious as well.

This is my third time at Ao Prao Beach, and it's my favorite beach. No matter which hotel I stay at, I always make sure to come here for their Italian food. The staff even remembered us, which was a lovely surprise. The breakfast was also delicious. However, the ordered items arrived after we had finished eating. While tasty, the long wait was a bit disappointing. There are no toothbrushes among the room amenities, so it's best to bring your own. There were people smoking on the beach chairs, and the smoke was drifting over due to the wind. When I asked a staff member if they could smoke in the designated smoking area, the staff member pointed at me and said, 'That person is complaining about you.' I just wanted to avoid a problem and asked the staff to tell them there's a smoking area they should use. Being pointed at made me feel very uncomfortable. Other than the beach staff, everyone else was very friendly and accommodating.

The room is spacious, and the air conditioning works really well, much better than the Hilton next door. But the main highlight is the breakfast — it's vastly superior to the Hilton's, and the price is lower too. Plus, there are some great Thai restaurants nearby that are also very affordable.

I've stayed on both the south and north sides of the island, and the advantages of Sacaya are clearly evident. Firstly, it's very close to the main street and 7-Eleven, making shopping, dining, and renting a scooter incredibly convenient, all within a few minutes' walk. Secondly, there are three pools: the leisure village resort pool and the beachfront pool, all perfect for a swim. Thirdly, it's very, very close to the beach. When I first booked, I couldn't tell the different room locations, but the bungalows and deluxe rooms seem to be the closest to the sea. Of course, it also depends on the angle; there are more reefs near the 'Love Tree' area and a long sandy beach near the bar/restaurant. Fourthly, there's a daily fire show and boat pick-up/drop-off service. Fifthly, the breakfast buffet offers a good variety. The service staff and the security guards across the street were all very friendly, smiling, and welcoming.

The location is great, with the night market just across the street. The staff are very friendly. The facilities are a bit old, but the cleanliness is acceptable. It's suitable for long-term stays. The only drawback is the lack of an electric kettle, which is a bit unusual considering that it's almost standard in hotels and apartments these days. It's inconvenient if you want to make tea or coffee.

The facilities are great. I stayed here once for New Year's Day and came back for a few more days. The hotel has its own beach, and in the evenings, they offer open-air movies and fire dance performances. They thoughtfully provide both deep and shallow swimming areas, so kids can play safely. The pier is also a unique feature. It's a bit disappointing though that when I came for New Year's, the room included a welcome scarf, and the mini-bar had free snacks and drinks. This time, the room price was significantly higher, and those little extras were gone. However, the overall experience is still excellent, making it perfect for a vacation. P.S. First thing to do when you get to the island: rent a scooter!

This is a fantastic place to stay! We booked the room for three people, and it was great. It had a separate room with a double bed (for two people) and another room with a single bed (for one person), complete with a TV and dining table. There's a counter, fridge, shoe cabinet, and plenty of storage space. The bathroom is shared, with two entrances: one from the single-bed room and another from the double-bed room. It's really convenient. The beds are super comfortable. The air conditioning in both rooms is easy to adjust with the remote. You can even watch YouTube on the TV, which is a great touch. Check-in is at 2 PM and check-out at 12 PM. I highly recommend booking with breakfast included – it was absolutely delicious! It’s one of the great choices for a quick, quiet weekend escape in Samed. The other is Paradee. Overall, it’s a beautifully located resort far distance in a serene spot with lovely private rocky beach, but in terms of facilities and overall experience, it feels more like a solid 4-star resort rather than a true 5-star standard. I highly recommend booking directly with the resort if possible. Direct bookings include complimentary boat transfers to the island as well as land transfers from the pier to the resort, which saves a lot of hassle. One thing I noticed was the high proportion of foreign staff. It felt like the resort lost a bit of that local Thai touch you usually expect when holidaying on the islands.

We stayed at this hotel in January 2026. We liked the hotel; it's centrally located with markets and Lotus nearby. The hotel has a good gym with a sauna and a hammam, a small pool, and excellent breakfasts. Housekeeping is daily, and slippers, a bathrobe, shampoo, and shower gel are provided. However, there's no toothpaste or toothbrushes, despite it being listed as available. There's a safe in the room, and Wi-Fi works throughout the hotel. There's no free shuttle to the beach, even though it was stated as an amenity on our trip booking. We chose this hotel partly because of that specific feature. Ultimately, you can get to the beach by taxi for about 100 baht, or walk about 5 km. We walked a couple of times through the mangrove forest, but it is quite a distance. Otherwise, we enjoyed the hotel. We thank the hotel staff for their hospitality.
