Great
AANHUAThe hotel is on the way to the First cable car, Bort station, more than 1,600 meters above sea level, from the Grindelwald train station by car, about 20 minutes, the mountain trail 18 bends, test the car skills but the scenery is beautiful, the snow mountain is in front of you. It is said that the navigation information of Apple Map is not allowed, and it is very crazy to ask for help from the hotel. Finally, it depends on Baidu map (the domestic SIM card cannot be used on Google). We have 2 big 2 small booking triple rooms (the youngest is only 3 years old), there is no problem with staying. The room is not luxurious but clean and comfortable. Dinner is good, 4 people 80 yuan to get. There is a children's playground next to them and the children have a great time. In short, the scenery is first-class, self-driving is still convenient and comfortable, recommended.
JJuninjuneThe location is about a 3-minute walk from Grindelwald Station. It is a bit uphill, so it might be a bit difficult to carry a carrier. Breakfast is provided and you can see Mt. Eiger. Each room has a different view, so it is important to get a room with a good view.
AAnonymous UserNice cosy place to stay in Grindelwald.
It has the best views of the mountains and easily accessible.
Breakfast was catered and it very much satisfied our needs during our stay there! 👍🏻
JJulieWe stayed in the hotel for 4 days. Location was very near the train station and accessible to buses. Staff were all very helpful and accommodating. The picture of the hotel in your ad was quite deceiving. The hotel was old and made up of very old timber. , though the inside was modern in style, the room was really not a good place to relax / sleep in since I can hear the loud steps of the one above our room and the noises from the adjacent rooms. No lift or elevator available. Not recommended for elderly tourist. Amenities like kettle for hot water and water dispenser needed to be taken from the ground floor near the office. Breakfast has a variety of foods served daily. The only consolation was the breathtaking views of jungfrau and accessible transportation.
TTravel bear around JapanWe are staying in Grindelwald for a couple of days and we spent one night in this hotel.
The location is a bit far away from the train station and it’s exhausting to carry heavy luggage over the slopes between station and hotel.
The price is reasonable and the balcony view of Eiger is stunning. The hotel looks quite old where no ventilation system can be found in washroom. Wi-Fi signal is poor and we were unable to connect it in the room.
We appreciate the breakfast as the food quality is good but seems the number of staff is limited. They are required to work in the reception for check in/out enquiries and at the same time busy rushing to the breakfast area to clean up the tables and food.
DDariaThe hotel was located in the middle of the hill, just like many of the hotels in Grindelwald. There was free bus in the area so it was easy getting up and down. Yet, the bus service stops at around 6 or 7pm, and you will have to walk up the hill from the train station for about 20 minutes. Also, potentially because it was in the middle of the mountain or it was winter, it felt very dry in the middle of the night. It would be nice if there can be a humidifier in the room.
However, the view of the room is absolutely worth it. You can look at mountains like Eigerblick just from your room and the breakfast buffet, and it is extremely breathtaking.
The breakfast buffet included was decent, with fruits, bread, cereal, some hot food and drinks. In particular the eggs were very nicely done.
The bathroom looks a bit old-fashioned and narrow, with slightly insufficient lighting, but overall it was clean and good.
The service was generally good. We were greeted with great smiles and friendliness by the reception and staff at the breakfast buffet.
Overall it was an amazing stay and I would recommend it:)
