"This hotel is truly exceptional. They allowed us to check in early and even upgraded our room to one with a balcony overlooking the mountains. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially when assisting us while we were preparing food in the dining area near the reception. The Wi-Fi was also excellent and very helpful.

"The location is great - about 8mins walk from train station , 9mins walk to supermarket. You can get the best view from just the balcony in the room. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast option. Enjoyed my entire stay. Would definitely book the same place if I came back again!
The only tiny little issue is probably no lift - meaning have to carry luggage all the way up.😂"

The location is absolutely stunning, directly facing snow-capped mountains and a picturesque hillside. The view from our room window was simply gorgeous. It's also conveniently located right next to the train station, and you can even watch trains pass through the beautiful scenery.
## Facilities
Although the hotel is historic, it's impeccably clean and well-maintained. It beautifully combines classic charm with modern conveniences. Parking is available but costs 25 CHF per day.
## Service
Overall, the service was quite good. However, on our second day, housekeeping didn't replenish our complimentary water bottles, seemingly because we hadn't finished the ones from the previous day. When we finished them and called reception for more, we were initially told there would be a charge. After we explained that the water hadn't been refilled during cleaning, they promptly sent some up free of charge. Interestingly, the mini-bar drinks are complimentary. On a lighter note, the cleaning staff accidentally left a cleaning cloth behind, haha! Each of us also received a complimentary voucher for the evening lounge, redeemable for a drink while enjoying live piano music – a really nice touch. The pool was wonderfully empty, but unfortunately, the sauna was out of order that day.

It's just a 2-minute walk from the train station, right behind and to the right once you exit, which saved us the hassle of dragging our luggage uphill. The balcony was huge! In the evening, we sat on the balcony, enjoying roasted chicken while admiring the 'Golden Mountain' effect and 'Dream Hills,' and later, we stargazed. I genuinely recommend it.

GGuest User125 years of traditional hotels, wooden houses, floor heating; breakfast all kinds of bread, juice, yogurt, cheese, meat slices (about three or four kinds, I have seen the evaluation before that the breakfast is very simple and I don’t think it at all); very delicious, I and the baby eat directly; balcony look at the snow-capped mountains; the most important thing is here; They have a sauna here, men and women ** mixed bathing, the kind that can't wear swimsuits; there is also a table football activity room; the grandfather and grandmother at the front desk are very kind.

AAnonymous UserSuch a cute little hotel right by Grindelwald train station! Only thing is that it is up a really steep hill, no joke to climb up while dragging your luggage. Rooms were very roomy and clean. They kindly upgraded one of our rooms to a bigger room, which was really generous. Breakfast was simple but satisfying and delicious. There were cows at the patch of grass next to the hotel, which amused us greatly. Would recommend.

QQIANIt’s about a 10-minute walk from the train station, which is not very far, but it’s a little tired if it rains with a suitcase. It takes only 2 minutes to walk to the First cable car station, which is very convenient. It is worth mentioning that if you choose to include dinner when booking the hotel, it is really super cost-effective ~ delicious and rich, every day I will seriously post menus everywhere, and I am responsible for saying that this is the level of Fine Dining, such a dinner Any restaurant should be above 120 francs per capita. The restaurant environment is also nothing to say, the service quality is very good ~ excellent experience, rich breakfast, worth the price, super recommended. They also gave home-made potato chips when they left. If it is not enough, it may be that the facilities in the room are average~ but it is very clean, the balcony is facing the mountain, beautiful!

QQIANThe hotel is halfway up the hill, some distance from the Grindelwald center and the train station. The hotel also has a shuttle bus that can be transported. We are self-driving. There is free parking in the hotel. It is relatively close to the cable car station of the first mountain. There are not many types of breakfast at the hotel. But it is enough, the biggest feature is the scenery, so beautiful! Whether it is a room or a place to have breakfast, look out for the snowy mountain, if you come to grindelwald next time, you will stay here!

TTravel bear around the worldWe are staying in Grindelwald for a couple of days and we spent one night in this hotel.
The location is a bit far away from the train station and it’s exhausting to carry heavy luggage over the slopes between station and hotel.
The price is reasonable and the balcony view of Eiger is stunning. The hotel looks quite old where no ventilation system can be found in washroom. Wi-Fi signal is poor and we were unable to connect it in the room.
We appreciate the breakfast as the food quality is good but seems the number of staff is limited. They are required to work in the reception for check in/out enquiries and at the same time busy rushing to the breakfast area to clean up the tables and food.
